I have visited the Shuntin Shed before and am glad to say that they have gotten even better. The restaurant is located at the old train station with décor to match, giving you that nostalgic train-journey feel. They have inside as well as outside (undercover) dining areas making them a good option for cold and warm days. If you do sit outside you also get a beautiful view of the Botriver. The last time we visited we were only able to order pizza, and although they were tasty, this time around I ordered one of their burgers which I enjoyed even more. The cherry on-top for me was how friendly the staff were, they truly made us feel at home. Seeing as they have kept on improving, visit-on-visit, I can't wait to come back and give them another try.

Inviting, warm, friendly service - from the owners Martin & Stephan to our waitress Hilda. Cosy, rustic and filled with old world charm, yet moving with the times (Vegan options👌). Will definitely pop in again.

Very quirky , peaceful , fully licensed restaurent on the tracks , with awesome food and Guinness and Gin on tap as well as craft beer. If you lucky you can enjoy the experience of a train passing while you having a drink or a meal. What an awesome venue , with friendly service. Highly recommended!!!!

Pub with that nostalgic vibe of an era gone by. Views of the farmlands of Botrivier. Good pizza. There is also a informal car wash, the guy did a really great job with the jet spray.

Probably the best pizza I ever had! Guinness on tap and I was sold. The atmosphere was inviting and the locals are really friendly. Very cool decor that really makes you feel part of the railway era. Will definitely be back!

Awesome service from a very entertaining man. Pizza was great. The burger and wedges also a must try!

Authentic railway experience . The only place I know that has a traffic light on the way to the bathroom. Great pizza's awesome burgers. And yes the train does come pass twice a day

A quaint little time capsule of a bygone transport era. I found the breakfast service to be a tad slow, which is ironic given how time sensitive the railway was back in the day. But, judging by the other reviewers, I may be the odd one out. All the Jagermeister paraphernalia makes me think this can get quite rowdy. Be that as it may, the food and drinks were deliciously prepared and surprisingly well priced compared to some other establishments.

We have already visited the Shunting Shed a few times, as a couple and with friends. We had a good experience with each visit. A nice vibe, excellent pizzas with a selection of various items on the menu. The service good. Definitely worth a return visit.

Absolutely delicious. Great vibe and the burger and pizza is amazing.

The non smoking area is cold and miserable on a cold wet day with no effort to heat the area up. The attitude of the owner was basically that we could take it or leave it, so we left. The smoking area was warm, with no wind- so no, your non smoking guests are not treated the same as your smoking guests. I was not rude. I simply asked if you had a gas heater and you offered us cushions to sit on, not blankets.

The place is a must, good excellent, service very good. Live band certain days. Great place to visit for fun and good food and service....🍺🍷🥃😊👍

Awesome! Great vibe, superb, homemade food and ample portions. Great wine list too and a gorgeous view. It's a perfect place to go with the family or a crowd of friends. And of course good, helpful and friendly service. Always the clincher for me.
