This restaurant has a perfect spot with views all around the outside seating area. We ordered the Indians coconut style mussels with ciabatta, and calamari with jasmine infused rice. The seafood was really good and even the half portions were big! We also had the crème brûlée for dessert which was lovely.

My Hermanus family and I (from Blouberg, Cape Town) celebrated birthdays at Burgungy on 7 Sept 2023. The service and quality of the dishes we enjoyed were very good. My overall mark out of 10 is 8.

The food was amazing and generous. Our waiter was very friendly but after mains seemed to be less attentive with delays in serving our group. Not a Big thing but it was apparent. All in all an enjoyable dinner experience 👍

Our firm favorite in Hermanus. Consistent year on year, season on season. The perfect place for a celebratory dinner and a casual lunch. The mussels and prawns are epic. Such friendly service and incredible view. What a gem of a place. Deserving of biggest compliments and cannot wait for the next visit. Highly recommended a place not to be missed when visiting Hermanus.

Had breakfast here on the morning of our anniversary. A beautiful old rustic restaurant. It has outdoor seating with an ocean view and plenty of indoor seating. The service was excellent as well as the food we ordered.

Very disappointed with steak... Ribs were excellent. Our drinks took forever to arrive, and the waiter seemed distracted ( in short, the service wasn't good at all)....such a pity because the view was really good.

This was our goto for good, brunch and dinner. Everything served with finesse and amasingly prepared. Cannot fault anything. They have small gas powered flames for atmosphere and the food then compliments that. Well done!

It's a simple aesthetic however the quality of food, portions and overall flavour of everything is that of a fine dining experience. Very popular and buzzing restaurant. We enjoyed the cheese platter which was beautifully presented and the fish cakes. Attentive servers and an enjoyable experience.

We had a great family meal there, it was awesome in terms of the atmosphere, food, taste, quality, value, service, location and variety. Was a great vibe and always worth a visit there.

The food is delicious and the quality extraordinary! We‘ve had the carpaccio and the tempuras at second the ostrich and spare ribs - great!!! The service absolut great and professional I‘ll come back!

We only went for cake, so I cannot atest for the rest of the menu. I would have given them 5 stars, but our assigned waiter did mess up our drinks order. He was very friendly and and it was VERY BUSY - these things happen - and the incorrect item wasn't too far off the original, so we didn't send anything back. There was another waiter, maybe main waiter(?), who was VERY HELPFUL with information about the products. We had a carrot cake and a VERY GOOD cheesecake!!! I am definitely going back. GLUTEN/WHEAT FREE note: their baked cheesecake (filling) does have flour in, but it is maziena/corn flour. I never eat the crust but I suspect it was wheat flour cookies that was used.

We know the restaurant quite well from previous years. But today we got a meal that was more reminiscent of a second-class snack bar. Seafood in batter, yes, there was also some unseasoned fish in it. The bobootie, the worst we have ever eaten in Africa, the vegetables raw and unseasoned. The abalone appetizer was the only thing that was really tasty.

We went for a dinner - group of 7 people. Their portions are huge! Definitely the place to go if you're looking for comfort food, as their options are very homey (bobotie, cottage pie, oxtail). Dinner time is a completely different vibe from their usually insanely-busy daytime rush. Would recommend bringing own wine and making use of corkage. Definitely try their desserts.

Lovely dinner at Burgundy Restaurant last night. No need to book - nice tables outside. I was given a blanket as it was a little cold after sunset. The food was delicious and portions large. The grilled hake and calamari was particularly nice. Some understanding of gluten free diet requirements.

We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here this evening - what a special occasion! The calamari was the best I've EVER had, the filled steak melts in your mouth and the chocolate mousse tart was to die for! Thank you for an amazing dinner!

Absolutely delicious food, friendly staff and the managers constantly ensure a great experience. I highly recommend the Seafood pasta. It was a massive meal and the seafood was top notch. Thank you Burgundy!

Lovely restaurant right on the walk way by the coast. I recommend their calamari, hake, and their pasta. The view of the bay is absolutely stunning. A special mention: on very windy and cold days, they offer every guest a blanket. Also a special shout out to their service staff who kept our precious left behind water bottle safe, which we picked up the next day.

Great place to eat while whale watching 🐳 Nice french 🇫🇷restaurant with fresh fish and seafood, but anyone can find something to eat. Make sure to ask for a table when you can try and look for a 🐋 while you’re there.

What a delightful place to enjoy lunch next to the ocean. Our waiter, Desire was the best! Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal, from babotie, burgers and had to try the calamari and abalone. Appreciated excellent service from everyone there.

This restaurant's position in Hermanus is stunning... Views across the ocean towards the backdrop of mountains is world class... Big bonus is it is right on our door step! Now for the restaurant itself - the pork spare ribs were melt in the mouth delicious as too was the hake and calamari combo. The only downside for me was the bench style outside furniture which kinda downgrades the venue...

A good location with a good view. Friendly service and the food was tasty.
