Great fresh seafood. Calamari soft and tasty, hake was so fresh. Homemade tartar sauce and crispy chips. Views of the harbour.

This place now holds the spot of the worst pizza I've ever tasted...ever! How dare they call themselves a pizzeria and offer such a pathetic product. Not to mention the exorbitant prices of R75 for a small 'pizza' that came out of a freezer....Not on! 😡

Thanks for accommodating a large takeaway group (caveat to the below)! Unfortunately, the pizza was pretty bad -- undercooked, no tomato, minimal toppings, but lots of cheese (?)... Recommend adding hot sauce! :P Looks like the venue for bar purposes is pretty cool, at least. Maybe don't order pizza. :)

If you want pizza and are used to Cape Town standards - do not order from here. Undercooked, soggy, no tomato sauce, lots of mozzarella (?), some amount of toppings. We were a large group and ordered takeaway.

Great little little place for a quick bite to eat. Good place to meet some Gansbaai locals and have a cold beer. Food is good and fresh and really value for money.

Ordered 3 take away pizzas from Mama Mia's. Shocking. For starters the women making the pizzas were unmasked, not wearing gloves and one of them was coughing - during the pandemic this is simply unacceptable. The pizzas we're indebile. They lacked on all toppings except the excess of cheese. There was little to no tomato base. A total of two pieces of salami on the four seasons, a teaspoon of blackened mince on the mexicana and about 4 pieces of terrible pork on the spare rib pizza. At R375, and a half an hour wait, the pizzas were overpriced and beyond disappointing. Honestly the worst pizzas we have ever encountered.

Awful food - straight from the freezer box. Had hake, seafood basket, chicken strips and chicken burger- left hungry and went to another place for dinner. Please don't go there.

Milkshakes were ok, but we waited a really long time for three milkshakes and then only two came out. Once the third one came out it was poured into a much smaller milkshake glass. Kind of disappointed.

We waited 52 minutes for our pizza. We was the only 2 guests in restorant (there was like 5 guys drinking on the bar) we got hawaian pizza 3/5 points… and spareribs pizza 1/5 points.. the waitress was friendly (she got the star, not the good) at least i dont had to pay that spareribs pizza. That was nice gesture of this restorant. There is place to park a car.

Had a great experience. Nice and cozy place to eat & drink at. They can serve pizza during loadshedding. I had a spare rib pizza with pineapple added. Was delicious.

We ordered the poppers as starters and then some pizza over the long weekend. I would honestly advise to not visit this "restaurant". We would recommend going the extra mile to either Afrikanos or Pizza Shack at Pearly Beach. This place would be a place to party, but you would also have to be a regular to get the service.

They make good food. Very friendly bunch. They just need to fix the place a little. Has leaking roof.

Oppidek Gansbaai. Let’s just say this is no fine dining restaurant and probably best described as a local drinking hole serving food. Waited 2 hours for our food and when it did arrive only 2 out of the 4 of us got our food. The rest arrived later - without an apology. Pizza’s were not great and the Eisbein although well cooked arrived with totally the wrong and cold accompaniments same goes for the Chicken schnitzel. Stop in have a drink and move on.

Beautiful views over the harbor, nice ambiance, beautiful artwork and old harbor photos. Friendly service, somewhat noisy with patrons that drank to much, still worthwhile visiting for some drinks or craft beer.

Went there for breakfast 2/1/22. Service was great in terms of speed. Unfortunately, my poached egg was hard in the middle (wasn't given an option to state how I wanted mine, because apparently it doesn't matter with poached eggs according to the waiter). So I'm not too happy about that. And the waiter got a bit frazzled with my 2nd drink order, even though we were only two tables. Maybe next time it will go better, but for now it's 3/5.
