highly recommend! one of my all time favourite restaurants. can’t decide if i prefer the hermanus or stellenbosch one but with an identical menu both restaurants offer different experiences. the ostrich meatballs and patatas bravas are my go to combo when ordering from the tapas menu.

Delicious food, with a relaxing atmosphere at the perfect pace. Micklem, our waiter was friendly and attentive. Rob, the manager was very welcoming and made us feel like locals even though we’re visiting from Ireland. There’s so much attention to detail here, everything is done exceptionally. It’s a must visit if in Hermanus. Will definitely come back next time we visit.

Absolutely stunning. Service was out of this world. Very efficient and helpful. Ambiance was lovely. Comfortable and a very good location. Wine was superb. Will definitely be back.

Stumbled upon this place whilst walking around in the afternoon. Lovely courtyard where we sat but the restaurant is huge inside! Now, I’m not sure if the server was having a bad day but the service was very abrupt and really didn’t feel welcoming. Any question of changing a wine or something felt like it was too much effort. We got through our tasting and left. Service in Hermanus (and all SA) has been superior so this was a bit of a surprise.

We came for a glass of wine earlier in the day and were served by a very knowledgeable gentleman who advised us on wines. It was a lovely, welcoming atmosphere with tasteful decor. We came back later for dinner. There was a good selection of food choices for most appetites. I had the fish of the day which was very generous in size. My mother had mushroom linguine which she enjoyed. Our server was very attentive and the food arrived quickly. Definitely recommend.

Great value for money on the Sunday roast. A special during winter. Bazi the waiter was great. Pity the venue does not have a sea view. Atmosphere was awesome though.

NO service in front! Whole place nearly empty…waited 15 minutes for a bottle of wine which never arrived. Glasses not topped-up; mains never asked for…managers walking around without purpose. Avoid this place, as it lured us in because of its looks! Will not be returning. Street corner café offers better service

Had an amazing dinner at this restaurant for the second time this week. The place looks cozy and the food is amazing! They have many beautiful wines they serve by the glass. Our waiter Lindile was so helpful and amazing. Would definitely recommend to go here. They often have some tables available for walk-ins if the booking system shows that they are fully booked.

All about wine! Great wines, stored correctly to taste and enjoy. Small plates or mains are served. You can taste wines from the area here, without driving from farm to farm. Slam bang in the middle of the popular ART WALK.

This is a restaurant that sets itself well above every other restaurant. The ambience is great and Rob has a excellent command of the restaurant and is always open to a lekker conversation and strives to always improve the food coming out from the kitchen and wine coming from the bar. Definitely eat here if you want a great experience! They have deliciously large selection of food and wine. The oriental line fish was excellent as well as the kudu carpaccio. If you’re feeling indulgent, spoil yourself with the tiramisu or the dark chocolate torte

Exellent design, excellent service. The only drawback is not due to them: they have no views. If you can still live without it you can get here here excellent brunch or dinner surrounded of wine bottles from SA.

Highly recommended! We stepped into this place just for wine tasting and decided to come back for dinner! Plenty of wine bottles 🍷 to taste in a reasonable price. The food served was creative and delicious, and the staff was extremely nice!

Love the fact that you can taste so many different local wines all in one place. This is our 2nd visit here and both times we’ve been impressed by the knowledge of the staff with regards to the wines. Nice vibe, nice food and great wine.

We expected a bit more of this place. The tapas dishes and service were ok but not special. Also the atmosphere can be improved. It interior are having all hard surfaces resulting in the mix of voices and music making it almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting. Corona measures were totally ignored apart from the masks that the staff were wearing.

6 wines testing for less than $10. That's amazing!!! All the wines are local yet they are excellent! The staff were friendly. My fav was Shiraz

Great wine tastings for anyone on a student budget! Lovely setting, surrounded by art galleries. Will definitely go back with the rents and try the food. If you’re a student that doesn’t waste your money on clothes you don’t need, you’ll definitely be able to eat here.

The Wine Glass in Hermanus definitely does not disappoint. It has a vast variety of wines and tastings, even under the specific varietals. The food is good, the Thai mussels were divine. Some dishes could do with more ciabatta on the side (especially the baked feta, which only had one slice of ciabatta, toasted and halved, not enough bread for such a block of feta). Other than that the food, wine and atmosphere was great, we went twice over the long weekend. Rob, the front of house manager is a great host!

The wine tasting selection was great! Staff very attentive. We came in with our 2 year old so the garden area was the best option. For wine fanatics it's certainly a great place to taste the local wines within the Hermanus area
