We visited the farm's restaurant on 30 December 2022. The service was very good (Thank you young man who was helping out as waiter). It was very busy but you stayed very friendly and helpful. Lovely nursery and cute farm animals to watch.

Went there on high recommendations, but obviously my expectations was probably too high. Good for kiddies to feed the animals and playing on a farm. Food quality....not bad.....quantity....way too expensive for the quantity you recieve. Service really up to no good and communication is a total disaster.

Spacious farmhouse renovated to a high standard with everything that one needs for an extended stay. Situated in beautiful fynbos rehabilitated by the knowledgeable owners who are clearly competent environmentalists. Amazing views and spectacular local beaches, inland scenic drives and nature walks make this a must visit when in that area.

Beautiful setting, homely feel. Food is good, can sit inside or outside. Definite winner with the kids, as plenty for them to do - jungle gym, swings, running away from with the geese and chickens (🀭) or feeding them and the goats (packet of food costs R5), there are pigs too.

Peaceful and tranquil place to stay. We loved getting to feed the chickens and goat, and getting to know a bit about the animals. The restaurant food was also delicious.

Peaceful farmstead restaurant with beautiful ocean view. There is a nursery where you can buy plants, kids play park area and lots of free ranging farm animals (You can feed the chickens) The prices and food were decent. Good experience!

Super slow service. We waited over an hour for food-the total of 2 sandwhiches and 2 chicken nuggets. No apologies or letting us know that it takes a while. Waitrons don't pop by at all. Our sandwhiches were burnt on one side.

Awesome farm stay in a large 2 bedroom house. Both bedrooms have double beds and engine suite bathrooms with a large kitchen and lounge area. Self catering with a restaurant on the property.

Breathtaking view of the ocean from the farm while enjoying a scrumptious farm breakfast. Wow! Simply a must see for everyone. Can't wait to go back and try Sunday lunch soon.

Such a beautiful and peaceful farm with kind and friendly people. My family and especially Baby enjoyed every minute of it. It's a pity they did not cater for Halal food as we would have loved to try it out.

Beautiful setting. Always enjoyed the food. Apparently the curried mutton is excellent according to a companion.

We went on recommendation of our AirBnB host, but my expectations where probably to high for a small town restaurant. great concept with the animals and play area for kids. Food was okay not worth the price though - The farm bread was not very farmy in my opinion. Service was extremely slow, we waited over an hour for our food and not everyone's arrived at the same time. don't waste your time to ask for a manger to bring the bad service to their attention you will get the world of attitude, it was shocking actually.

Terrible service. We have an 18 month old. We ordered our food and were told it would be half an hour due to loadshedding. No problem. I understand. We ordered a slice of bread for my son so he could eat something. The waitron came back with our drinks and again I asked if she could just bring the bread. She said okay. After 20 minutes my son was very restless. I asked the waitron about the bread again and she said the lady in the kitchen was going to slice the bread now. My wife was walking around with my son to try and distract him from being hungry. Other tables that arrived after us had received milkshakes and chips already. I asked about the bread again and then went to the manager. It had now been 30 minutes for a slice of bread and I had him cancel our food order. The manager went into the kitchen and out came the slice of bread on a plate with the boerewors. We left anyway. Enough is enough. I don’t mind waiting for food during loadshedding. But it is inexcusable to wait so long for a single piece of bread for a hungry baby. We will not return.

Lovely farm setting with plant nursery and restaurant, goats, chickens, geese, cows, etc. You can feed the goats and some of them will come and great u as you are siting on the patio having lunch and the chickens too. Great for an afternoon out with stunning views of the countryside and sea!

Groeneweide is a fantastic place to visit for young and old. Lush lawns awaits you at arrival with free-roaming geese roaming welcoming you. Soo much entertainment for the kids available! Buy a packet of animal feed from the restaurant for animal feeding all the different farm animals, jungle gyms and even a slippie slide on the hot summer days! Let your kids (& brave adults😊)bring swimming costumes! Most delicious breakfast, light meals and lunch menu with good friendly service, prepared with fresh herbs and veggies from their own garden! Visit their nursery right next to the restaurant while waiting for your order! Groeneweide also host a free 5km park run/walk on their farm every Saturday at 08:00 starting from the restaurant. All and all a must restaurant to visit!!

Review is about the restaurant. Food is good. But prices are on the higher side. There are lots of chickens, ducks, lamb and pigs roaming around. You can buy some food for R5 to feed the animals and birds, they're cute and friendly. The nursery has some good plants. The Venus fly trap made me excited but was quite expensive.

Interesting restaurant. Drinks only. Not sure of food. Chickens, goats and dogs wandering around. Chicken faeces on the floor, inside and out. The owner ? decided to move the chickens by throwing a broom at them !! ?? Why no just put a screen up to prevent them ?? Not impressed

It's like coming home to Ouma en Oupa on the farm. From the moment you set foot on the property you're met with friendly staff greeting you in your preferred language. Most impressive are the lady waitress who are learning Afrikaans and teaching us Xhosa!! Ons gaan beslis hierdie restaurant se druppels deurtrap πŸ™πŸ˜

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Probably the best waiter we have ever had the honor of serving us. Local English chap that knows his food and area very well. Their food is a little on the budget side and may come across as too little or dry (rice), but the preparation of the fish and squid was flawless! Grilled to absolute perfect...
