Nice quiet and tranquil farm shop and restaurant. The shop supplies fresh farm foods at really good prices. The owner is very welcoming and heartwarming. The restaurant is stunning with jungle gyms, swings and plenty for kids to do. The food was amazing and the service top notch. I would like to personally thank Webster; your service friendly, welcoming, informative and exemplary. Your warmheartedness and sense of humor made us feel right at home. Unfortunately, we had a bit of hostility from the lady in the baking goods section. Not just did she shove through us without an apology but complaining about other clients whilst doing so. She was also very abrupt when we were about to pay leading to me returning the goods and choosing not to subject myself to her any further. Highly unprofessional and amateur.

Was excited to visit this restaurant. However they only had 2 waiters on duty, this during peak holiday season. The brunch order took more than an hour to arrive. We were informed that they discovered that the machine capturing the orders was not working, so our orders was not captured in the kitchen. There was no attempt to offer complimentary drinks or anything like that. Finally after an hour the food showed up. My toasted egg sandwich was cold. Will definitely not return there.

The Plaaskombuis is open on a Monday which was a pleasant surprise, as they seemed to be the only restaurant open in the area. A large dining room serving home style traditional fare, a quirky shop selling all sorts of goodies, and a small plant nursery make this a pleasant stop. The service from our attentive and friendly waiter was exemplary. We even knitted a few rows as there are knitting needles and wool on some of the tables. Makes a change from sitting on our phones while waiting for the order!

Beautiful farm atmosphere, two distinctly different sections : * farm stall with excellent , fresh vegetable at a good price, and * restaurant with great food, but expensive . Coffee and (major) cake for R 75 Service in shop absent, at the cafe good. Decoration imaginative and tasteful A nice stop in a lovely surrounding. Unfortunately weather did not allow for outdoor seating. If you bring children, they will have a jungle gym to play in.

Service was prompt, owner or manager, came to our table 3 times to ensure happiness when we requested an extra menu item, she brought it herself. Food was excellent, staff friendly. Great play area for kids, well kept garden. Will be back.

Always a pleasure visiting. Real old fashioned farmstall vibe. Delightful to sit in the garden. Good food, excellent service and lots of interesting browsing opportunities. Good nursery on premises is a bonus

Beautiful little stop along the way. Die Plaaskombuis has so much to offer. Indoor and outdoor seating, beautiful restaurant. Shop with so much to choose from, foods, fresh produce, antiques and stunning views outside with play areas for the kids

My surprise birthday party, arranged by my daughter and my friend turned out amazingly well! The 'boerekos' was perfect and tasty, service was superb and they went to so much trouble to keep everyone happy and content. Compliments to the chef, the staff, manager as well as the owner YOU ARE TOPS!!!

Amazing place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Webster is an awesome waiter. The food was to die for. Sunday roast was excellent, but the pumpkin pie was heavenly. Will definitely go again.

Nice old- school vibe for the hungry traveller. Have bought some stunning Lotter wines there in the past, but the wine prices are definitely more steep now. Their jam and preserve selection is good too. Restaurant allways seems busy, which is a good sign. The section with old crockery and ornaments a bit uninviting: always seems dusty...Unfortunately right now the road past this establishment is being worked on, so I hope the business doesn't suffer.

Large area, big portions, nice menu and tasty food. Some antique home items for sale as well. Not enough staff members for busy days. Kiddies play area a bonus for parents.

Amazing wait staff. If I remember correctly, we were helped by Margaret. Stunning soul. She was quick on her feet, attentive and made us feel like we're visiting her in her own home. She was so welcoming and friendly, I wanted to take her with me. The place is beautifully laid out. Lots for the kids to do, both indoors and outdoors. The view from the deck is breath-taking. We had the omelet with salmon, Avo and feta cheese. The kitchen staff did not skimp on the ingredients. The omelet was so fully packed with ingredients, I never once took an egg-only bite. Scrumptious to say the least. Thank you for having us.

Stunning food and good service in this beautiful setting. We have been numerous times but sadly on 2 occasions we found hair in our food. There is nothing that puts you off your food more than having this experience, especially when you are halfway through your food! It is imperative that the chef and waitresses wear hair nets and cover their hair for hygienic reasons. We brought it to the attention of the manageress when it happened approximately 3 months ago, but sadly we had the same experience when visiting there for breakfast with family yesterday!

The pancakes were not freshly prepared, but reheated. They were tasteless, and also very expensive, if you consider it's only sugar and cinnamon pancakes. The service was very good and the views spectacular..

This was a fun place to take the children. There were several things to keep them entertained outdoors in the wonderful gardens. There was also a small play area inside for when it got too windy. The food is ok: I had a pancake filled with chicken mayo.

Popped in for lunch.. And desperately needed some food to soak up the wine from all the tastings up the road. Had a fantastic toasted chicken mayo with delicious chips. The sandwich said it came with pepper dews and avo. The peppadews were inside amongst the chicken mayo but the avo was out of stock. We were offered some cheese instead which came in a little bowl. Hmmm.. Why not put it in the sarmie and toast that too? Made me wonder if the avo came in the self same little bowl.. Odd.. Service was great. Will be back. Came back. Wanted another toasted chicken sarmie, but it was a Sunday. No can do, said Anna, our waitress. They're cooking Sunday roast. Saw a few as we were being seated. Didn't look that appetizing, so went for a cheeseburger. It was pretty good. Loved the roosterkoek roll at the start, but by the end of the burger it was just a bit too heavy, what with all those delicious chips too. My wife had the steak pie which to be honest, lacked spices and could have done with a quarter of the salt that was in there. Ease up on the salt chef, we can always add more if we like... See you soon

Great little gem on the Hemel amd Aarde road. Had breakfast and it was delicious. Love the decor of old telephones and various other old things.

Amazing setting great for kids and previously food has been tasty and fresh. However something happened and now you wait for ages for food that arrives cold and then get charged an arm and a leg regardless. (R75 for a bowl of muesli is one of the cheaper examples). Doesn't leave me eager to return or recommend above other places in Hermanus.

👍👍 Probably the best waiter we have ever had the honor of serving us. Local English chap that knows his food and area very well.
