We went along with family as we were visiting from the UK. The food we had was all very well composed dishes. The chef's really know what they are doing. Andreas our serving Host was very accommodating and professional, thanks again for your advice on what to order. I will definitely recommend this eatery as these guys know what they doing. Well done and keep it up Gents!

Standard Food. Not great but ok to get a solid dinner. Just one dish for vegetarians. The view is good.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Misty Waves Hotel for two days for business this week.... And got to eat at the Heritage restaurant for breakfast and dinner and I can honestly say that it was a great meal on every occasion. Brilliant service and a short and sweet menu that offers you a few options. Starters comprise of mussels done a few ways and calimari salads... Mains are options like fish and prwans steak tarter and a very nice beef fillet with holindase sause... They even have crepes done with vinnla ice cream and onrage qauantro... Really worth popping in if you need a good meal and warm and friendly service.

What a delight! We had the chicken livers and yellow tail. Perfectly prepared, healty and very tasty. Highly recommended!

Heritage Restaurant Hermanus..first visit..won't be the last...great ambience in terms of sea views, soft music, tasteful décor, friendly and efficient service, menu to suit all budgets and tastes.

My husband & I had an excellent dinner here. The menu is small, but the dishes are well crafted. We ordered the filet & the pork belly, and they were both cooked to perfection. We shared an apple pie for dessert... we would both call it an apple cake back in the US, but it was delicious. If we ever find ourselves in Hermanus again, we’ll be certain to visit Heritage Cottage once again.

Old unremoved dry paint on walls (seemingly supposed to be rustic) gave me an ashma attack. On wooden stoep our table jumped up and down when somebody walks on the wooden floor. They bring our food and then after I sarted to eat, they suddenly want the food back, as it was wrong table. Knifes and forks only for two of the three people at our table. I had to fetch it myself from other table. What a mess. Waiters untrained and manager arrogant and unhelpfull. One can do much better in just about any other restaurant in Hermanus.

Had breakfast here and was very enjoyable. Good friendly service.

Food and wine pairing evening absolutely exquisite . Winemaker Of Arendsig paired his stories and selection wines with the 5 course dinner crafted by Chef John . What a fantastic experience !! Can’t wait for the next food & wine evening.

John is an elegant host and chef. Food is thoughtful. Springbuck was delicious as were the pates.

Definitely one of the best meals we have had in a long time. We all agreed, it was delicious! Service was great and a very good selection of wines. Everything was perfect. A must try if you in the region.

Outstanding foot and service in a beautiful spot. Would seriously consider staying at the Hotel associated with the restaurant, which looked perfect. An excellent location for enjoying Hermanus.

The food was excellent, the waiter was perfect and having the Chef cook checking up on us about the food quality was a great sign of service.
