If you like a nice view, good wine and a nice little platter, you’ll like Newton Johnson. It has a great atmosphere. We had a good experience and we’ll definitely go back soon!

Had the most amazing birthday lunch! Staff really went the extra mile to make the experience special. The view is magnificent, the food sublime and the wine excellent. Worth several return visits.

With the wine tasting center and restaurant being built high up against the hillside, The Newton Johnson Wine Estate arguably has one of the best views of the Hemel-and-Aarde valley. I have never been to their restaurant, but doing a tasting of their wines while you have such a great view is very special. I loved walking out onto their deck area after receiving each wine, but just be careful as the wind can sometimes be very strong, so hold onto your glass. The farm is however not all about the view, with their wines in my opinion being the main attraction. From their whites to their reds, you are sure to find something you like and the tasting room staff are generally very knowledgeable. Even though their tasting room is on the smaller side it is still worth a visit, even on a cold and rainy day - their Full Stop Rock will definitely warm you up. They keep to the standard of the other farms in the area and it's a definite must-visit.

Beautiful setting, delicious wine, good a service and amazing food. The chef showed me how to enjoy my Vietnamese Pho. And it was soooo yummy 😋

I celebrated my birthday lunch here with my parents here today. Absolutely beautiful place. Everything was 10/10. The location, the wine, the food, the company. Absolutely amazing experience. The guy who hosted the wine tasting was amazing and the chef made the most delicious leg of duck. 7 starts!

Popped in a quick wine tasting and so glad I did. A very lovely establishment, beautiful views, the wines I tried was lovely, the lady who served us was very knowledgeable with the wines. I will definitely be back to spend more time there.

Faultless, delicious, amazing. We enjoyed the best lunch in a very, very long time. We loved our table with stunning views of the Valley, all the way to sea. It was next to the open kitchen leading to a convivial atmosphere by engaging with the restaurant owner and chef, Tullishe. There were no TV kitchen dramatics, just an air of serenity as amazing dish after amazing dish of food left. We found the perfect Newton Johnson wine to pair, by the glass, with every dish. I was most surprised by the value for money. The whole experience was sublime. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had an exceptional meal here. I ordered the Kingclip curry which is better than the Thai curry I've had at a Michelin star Thai restaurant. The cheesecake was amazing. Great value compared to some of the neighbors.

The best views from the valley across the mountain all the way to Kleinmond Plus Smallish restaurant with view directly into kitchen, so all guests feel as if they are sitting at the chef's table, creating a warm friendly atmosphere Plus Food truly designed and prepared for the finer palette. It is one of the best restaurants in the Hermanus area, and definitely worth a re-visit. And book well ahead, they are popular!

We had an outstandingly delicious lunch on a Friday afternoon accompanied by a delicious chilled bottle of Newton Johnson’s own Albariño. The staff are friendly and efficient. With the breath taking valley falling away below, what more could you possibly ask for? The menu changes regularly but I highly recommend… * Purple figs, feta cream, Serrano ham Pinot reduction *Poached octopus, romesca sauce, pangrattato. So divine. I can’t wait to go back.

I would say that a place that can make me enjoy Aubergine must be a great experience 😀. I loved that their kitchen is open plan so you can watch how they prepare your food. No matter where you choose to be seated, open air or under cover, you will always have a spectacular view over the valley. Beautiful spot for pics. The staff is very friendly and eager to assist. The ambiance is whatever you choose it to be...fun, romantic or just some quiet time away.

By far the most beautiful wine farm, and the wine was very memorable, wish I had bought a bottle. However, we felt we were inconveniencing the staff by being there and wine tasting. The table next to us shared the same testiment.

The restaurant offers delicious top quality food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed spectacular views of the vineyards and the surrounding mountains. The service was excellent from the minute we walked in until we left. It was an amazing experience, we'll definitely return.
