Wow, what an incredible experience. We were 7 ladies with differet tastes. We all ordered the maple bacon burger... we are all OBSESSED!! We all agreed it was the best burger we have ever had. This small hidden away place, is the diamond in the rough place... excellent service and loved the ambiance. I will be driving out there just to share the best burger with my husband once he is home !

Honestly the best restaurant in the western cape. We wait for months to go back to Hermanus so that we can come here. The nachos and burgers are the best we’ve had. The poke bowls are incredible and come in very big portions. We’ve always had the most friendly staff. Cannot recommend it enough!

What amazing place ! The Steaks and Mac an Chesse dish was Porto.I had a after dinner drink thay was to die for. Soo much I bought the last bottle.

We found this place by chance after arriving late in town for a weekend away. We felt a little rushed to finish our supper, however, this may be as a result of only arriving around 8pm. The menu was very simple but delicious, with some very unique items to choose from, especially the dessert! Very cozy setting with some good ambiance. Waiters and staff were all very welcoming and efficient. Definitely recommendable.

We recently had the pleasure of eating at Pear Tree, and we were thoroughly impressed! The menu provides a wide variety of options, and both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the diverse offerings. What truly stood out to us was the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant, which was particularly delightful during this chilly weather. An added bonus was their food and wine pairing for R150pp, which proved to be an awesome experience.👌 We highly recommend trying their poke bowls, especially the Teriyaki Chicken bowl, as it was a definite winner. The service was excellent, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Pear Tree has undoubtedly become one of our favorite restaurants in the beautiful town of Hermanus. We can't wait to visit again!"

Pear Tree has a wide range of meals that you wouldn’t find anywhere else in Hermanus. From delicious Ramen to Quirky combinations like a Steak Eggs Benedict paired with amazing Mimosa’s. They’re also right on the waterfront so the views are nothing short of soectacular

Way more than a bistro. We had easily the best chicken lollipops of our lifes here. The Pulled Chicken Nachos and the Miso Sirloin were also delicious. The staff is attentive and forthcoming. The atmosphere at sundown was very enjoyable and lively and not too loud. We will definitely return for more.

Value for money. Tasty food. Friendly service. I would have liked a bigger portion but the food is not overly expensive so I would say it was fair.

Waited half an hour to be seated, they kept telling us a table was available in 5 to 10 minutes. When we finally got a seat the food was nice and the atmosphere was nice. Went with 5 people and one of us got Food Poisoning later that evening..... The other reviews are better than our experience, so sadly i would not go here again.

Looking for something different for breakfast, this is the spot to be. Although the usual breakfast are delicious and I. The menu (eggs Benedict, etc) there are some innovative and delicious options. We opted for the breakfast Tacos (9/10) and Fried breakfast rice (solid 10/10) Breakfast tacos could have been slightly bigger portion, but at the price it's more than fair. The flavout makes up for the smaller portion. Some of the best scrambled eggs on the Taco I ever had. The breakfast fried rice, however, was the highlight of the day. Creamy fried rice topped with pulled brisket amd served with crunchy fresh greens and a delicious aioli. Really one of the best dished I had in a long time PS. Sitting close to the ocean, sipping something cool, eating a delicious meal served by a friendly lady - how can I not be happy! The sesame chicken strips and aiolo sauce was great! And sweet potato fries served in a small flower pot - rather cute.

You can't beat this location on a summer's day! The cherry on top is the excellent food and great drinks selection. Fantasties service to boot. Highly recommended for a tasty bite to eat. The fish tacos might be small but they're mighty delicious! The chicken burger was scrumptious too.

The Pear Tree Bistro was our favourite dining spot while we were in Hermanus. The food was excellent and so beautifully presented. I had hake tacos which were delicious and then a poké bowl - my favourite. My mother had sweet potato fries which she described as excellent and pork ribs. The portions were generous for us and we struggled to finish. We had plans for the fabulous looking pear dessert but couldn’t manage it. The staff were all wonderful too. Our server was bright, cheery and fun. It’s a breath of fresh air coming to such a vibrant restaurant. Shame we had to leave the next morning otherwise I would have been back for breakfast.

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely food. Nice & cosy during a wet winters day. Highly recommend the salmon poke bowl - huge portion! My partner was underwhelmed by the chicken nacho burger (saying the amount of guacamole was bland and very cold which took away from the tasty burger). Agree with other reviews that the price is high for Hermanus locals but definitely worth a visit.

I was super impressed with the Vegan linguini just enough to be enough, I could have licked the bowl, my Mom taught me otherwise, my word it was super tasty. Also my furry children were there...stunning evening...

I've eaten at a few restaurants in my life, all over the continent, the Pear Tree stands head and shoulders above ALL OF THEM! Took my 9 year old daughter there on date night on her (very belated) birthday and had the best experience ever. Amazing food, well priced, awesome atmosphere, next-level-non-intrusive-service. I was walking on the Street samthing bring me to this restaurant l had chicken curry With prawns was so good l order piece off bread the waiter bring to me a piece of tost bread after 7 minute, add to account 8 rend on the bill for piece off bread, but atmosphere was really good the waiter were fantastic l recomend higly

Food was good. Interesting choices on the menu. We chose a light Lunch. Service was friendly but we had 3 different waiters and it took like 20 min to receive our still water. While we received our kombucha earlier...

The food was OK. Elaborate menu although. The service was pretty good. There is ample parking available around. We walked in on a Thursday evening, and did not need a table reservation. They have standing heaters all around, which is great if you are not used the cold and windy weather. The highlight of our evening was spotting a Genet (spotted mongoose).

Food was different but good. The tables are a little to cramped. The staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend the sushi stuffed calamari

Had lovely pulled pork soft-shell Taco's and burnt cauliflower. Food is very good with quite generous portions. There are a lot of vegan options on the menu. The Pear Tree has a beautiful view of Walker Bay. Ashley, our waitress was excellent and very attentive without being in-your-face.

I live in a big city, so I'm used to water view restaurants not having good food. This place had everything. Great food, very friendly service, and lovely outdoor seating. What a gem.
