Disappointed to say the least, waiter gave us the bill without us even asking for it. Asked her if it was normal procedure and the response was somewhat rude unsencere and unapologetic. Seemed we were being being shown the door. Service standards are appalling. It's not my first time to experience such at this wimpy.

The food took over 30 minutes to come, a burger with chips, hake with chips and mix grill with chips. The plates were cold so the food was also cold. I requested whether there was a problem and the waitress tokd us the kitchen was slow. No apologies. At least the coffee and hot chocolate afterwards were hot. The cashier commented on the little tip😥

Considering we were the only customers.. Average food, extremely slow service. We paid our bill in cash that had considerably more change than a tip (as we didn't have smaller notes). Despite us waiting for the change this never came and the waitress hid in the back by the kitchen.. there would have a been a tip anyway, this just felt a bit underhand and forced.

Horrible experience, and we frequent Wimpy a lot! Hermanus is dark and dingy. The milkshake was sore, the food was awful and when I found a weird looking, almost like a hair, but not, I was told it's a leaf root. No, just cannot and will not be visiting them again. Plenty more interesting and better restaurants to visit in Hermanus!

Hermanus Wimpy is a disgrace to Wimpy. I love the brand but not this one. The chips are old. The burger buns are old and stale. The service is great. But they save on food. Also the bench seat is worn through and patched with duct tape. Swak man.

Very disappointing. Nostalgia brought my husband and I to have a breakfast here and while there was a keen effort on service. (Apart from one manager who asked if all was OK and when we answered with "not really", he smiled and walked on as if we had given a compliment) The food was lacking greatly. The prices have gone up a lot while the quality has diminished. No love in the prep of the breakfasts we had. Almost instant upset stomach after a simple breakfast? For the price, we will rather go elsewhere in the future.

Second time around. And I must be honest. Never ever again. From cold tasteless food to a waitress that smelled like a mature brewery. The toast was so thin.Eggs arrived not as per order. Coffee cold. Staff were giggling and chatting so load. Customer definitely don't come first at this Wimpy. We've been here during the whale festival and had similar experience. We thought the cold food was because of the amount of people in the restaurant.. therefore we thought we give it another try. But to our disappointment once again. I will address my experience with the Head office. This branch of Wimpy definitely leaves you with a bad taste in the mouth and a memory you will never want to experience again.

Love eating @ the Wimpy @ Whale coast mall. Very friendly waitresses, fast service, affordable prices and delicious milkshakes. Always looking for an excuse to go there. My favourite stop @ the mall.

My wife and I ordered breakfast, they arrived and one was hot and one cold. I tolerated the food but then sent the eggs back. I am convinced that this breakfast was a cancelled or returned order as it was not fresh. After I returned the eggs they were put under a warmer for 10 minutes and arrived back hard and like rubber, I retaliated and told our sweet waitress that this was not her fault but absolutely un acceptable and how could this be allowed to happen. I ditched the breakfast and paid the bill but will never ever return to a Wimpy again. My experience will be shared with Head of marketing SA and doubt I will get a response. RIP wimpy SA

We ate breakfast there during 10am loadshedding. It was scrumptious 😋!! Can't think of another word to describe. Sitting there made you forget about loadshedding, their service was perfect. Thank you!!

We took my parents to lunch at Wimpy in Whale Coast Mall on 31/01/2020.We were welcomed with a smile and got awesome service from our waitress,Rose,from beginning to end.My parents' 51st wedding anniversary was the following day,and my father's birthday today 04/02,with my mother's birthday following on 15/02.So we took a chance and asked if we could get a birthday surprise for them both.Rose fetched the manager,and when we explained what we had in mind,she agreed with a smile abd my parents received a complimentary ice cream each.Now that is awesome service.Keep it up Wimpy,you will see us again.

Worst Wimpy I've been to ever. My last 3 breakfasts, in the past couple of weeks, were terrible to say the least. Had the Farmhouse breakfast. Toast and eggs were cold, the tomato slice was so thin with most of middle missing (looks nothing like the menu pic), chips were soggy and awful, bacon was fatty, undercooked and cold. Will never eat there again. Owner made every excuse under the sun i.e. loadshedding, etc. Based on the reviews on here, I suggest you pay close attention to your customers else you won't be in business much longer.

Management will really need to step up to get this Wimpy back on track. The service is beyond slow, the staff makes little to no effort to assist even when the place is practically empty. Food is great, once you eventually get it.

Clean and quiet wimpy depending on what time of the year you come, can get noisy with tourists. Nice environment. The staff is friendly here and service is timely when tourists aren't around. Food meets the usual wimpy standard so if you enjoy Wimpy you'll enjoy it here too! Overall experience: great

Worst experience ever. Food took long and was cold when we received it. to top it all off, we were sitting outside when one of the poles came loose from its socket, Hans the most disrespectful manager/owner has the cheek to tell me this has never happened before as they don't have baboons eating there often. 'Reffering to us a baboons' we were 16 people spending over a R1000 and that is how we get treated. Absolutely shocking!!

Service was so fast. After ordering, food came out in 10 minutes. This was on one of the busiest days of the year. Also got a decent portion of chips with burger. 10/10 would visit again

Terrible service or rather rules . Wet wipes are only for people who buy ribs which doesn't make sense and hot water is R9.99 were as cold water is free . It's ridiculous even when entering the staff was not welcoming and clearly the white minority who also happen to be regulars get better treatment .

Delicious food as always! Welcoming and friendly people. Would recommend. Just one thing (more a question for the franchise in general) Why, oh why, did you kill the awesomely delicious Mocha Choca? My favourite drink! No other restaurant makes it quite like you Wimpy does...
