What a surprising experience. I think this has to be the fastest restaurant in the overberg. We placed our order and the kitchen sprang to life and in minutes we had our food, all at the same time. And very delicious food, well presented. Served by Nick, very professional no nonsense man. We were so impressed by the rose, that we continued with a wine tasting. Chris made this a wonderful experience. Overall a very enjoyable and highly recommend experience.

It's no secret that Spookfontein Wines are the best in the region with a selection of toned whites with subtle hints of fruit - to deep red's vibrant with tobacco roasted flavours caught in flavoursome plums and cherry's. Whatever your choice is, when it comes to wine tasting, you're in for a treat and a well rounded storytelling from your host. Humm...dont forget to ask for Chris 😍 not only does he share the history and story of each wine selection. He shares it in a way that really makes these wines come to life....even if you're not a avant wine connoisseur. The cafe foodies are truly chef inspired however kitchen closed promptly at 15h00 so get there early to enjoy the wine, food and the breathe taking scenery 😋

A friend and I went to Spookfontein over the past weekend for wine tasting. It was our first time there and the experience was incredible. The wines were delicious and the Cape Ruby was excellent. The views from the wine tasting area are beautiful too.

Great architecture and views, but the winetasting was disappointing Unorganised, almost chaotic! The waiter was very hard to understand his English was not good, and he was very stressed . Bear in mind we reserved a table and arrived in time and still it was unorganised and lack of management

Very unpleasant experience. We made a booking 4 hours in advance for 1:30pm. We arrived at 1:45pm and we were told that our table had been given away. We did not get any call to confirm if we were still coming and the brown haired man who is overweight was very rude to us and told us we had to leave. The reason we were delayed is because of road works on the road but obviously they didn’t care to call the customers who made an effort to book, and rather chose other walk in customers. Very disappointing because it was actually a nice wine and it’s not great to be treated this way. Won’t return here if the same man is still here or if he decides to treat us in the same way. Hope they can make this right so that we can return happily. Amanda who I called initially was so sweet and a pleasure to deal with so I’m disappointed that she didn’t call us back to explain or follow up.

A lovely restaurant with beautiful mountains as background. Restaurant not to big, atmosphere good, food was brilliant👌. Can recommend Gnocchi, Ramen, Fillet and obviously Pavlova👌.

Had an awesome experience today. The wines are really well made, the service was exceptional and the vibe was incredible. My only recommendation would be for the tasting room to get some sound dampening boards, it felt like a loud room. Having said that I would 100% recommend you go for a tasting and a platter.

Hit the spot all 3 times on our month visit to Hermanus. We just couldn't resist coming back again and again! And this won't be our last! Breath-taking views, even on the colder autumn days watching the light pour through the clouds on the mountains and valley. All of the wines are exceptional, the Full Moon has my heart and the Phantom is a crowd favourite. Delicious coffee. Everything about our visits feel expansive, inviting and elegant while relaxing and laid back. Our little dog was welcome to sit at our feet with us, and the staff were kind enough to let us fill up our bottles with their delicious fresh spring water before leaving. Thank you!

What an absolutely wonderful experience, besides the great wines and the incredible architectural design of this intimate estate, the people there just add another layer of connectedness and a personal touch. Thanks to Amanda and Gian for a great time, their knowledge and friendliness was appreciated. The location and views are the cherries on a very large cake.

Exceptional food, really good wines to pair with, but the the food is truly exceptional. Delicious blend of flavors without being complicated. Freshest ingredients and a small menu but with a choice for every palate! Friendly and efficient staff with stunning views over the valley. Make sure to book to avoid disappointment.

A very good restaurant for lunch. The best Ramen you can get. We've been there twice and always enjoyed. Good food and wine

An incredible destination- the building design and decor is modern and incredibly beautiful. So is the food at the restaurant and the wine tasting. Another incredible destination in the Hemel and Aarde Valley near Hermanus. I would put 6* if I could.

Go for a wine tasting and then stay for lunch and enjoy a glass of your favorite alongside some great food. Beautiful views on a well manicured property. I would love to spend a relaxing weekend in one of the onsite chalets

Awesome views of the Valley and the freshest hake and chips, super fluffy and tasteful. The staff is very friendly and adds to the whole experience of a quailty establishment.

Had a lovely afternoon here. The seating area has high ceilings and tables are spaced far apart giving everyone their bit of privacy and fresh air. The food was well prepared and presented with the Pork Ramen being my favourite dish of them all followed by the brownies and the tuna. The staff are friendly and professional. We did have one overcooked steak but they were kind enough to grill a new one - Definitely appreciated this. The restaurant has an incredible view in the Hemel & Aarde Valley. Could spend a whole day here and would visit again. The food is well priced, not overly expensive (like some other places in the area) and well worth the drive.

👍 Stopped for a quick beer tasting and a wine and cheese pairing. Beside the wind threatening to blow over empty wine glasses was a good stop. Wonderful views, child friendly and a great outside area.

👍👍 Actually googled the hemel en aarde wine valley before my weekend in Hermanus and read up on the estates. The one that caught my eye was La Vierge and their Pinot Noirs, as i really enjoy a Pinotage, Pinot Noir was definitely going to be an experience and a half. So we were assisted by an elderly ge...
