Hermanus is a coastal town, just over an hour from Cape Town. It is unique in it's simplicity,And of course, there are also the beaches, the cliff paths to walk along and the mountains to hike in.A good outdoor vibe with lots of outdoor seating for sea views.

The whale watching cruises leave from this harbour. A walk along the wharf is a must with breath taking views of the coastline. The harbour is busy with cruise boats, sail boats and deep water diving. Curios are for sale from local traders and refreshments are available. An entrance fee of R5.00 is payable to enter the harbour

There are boat tours available for those interested. I went fishing and it's a nice relaxing environment either in the harbour or from the wall.

Lovely colour of water this particular day. Pity one can't park on the curve as you go up to Gecko Bar - the most spectacular views are from there.

There's enough space fishing, there are tour boats available for bookings, the offices are nearby, and there are members of stuff already on standby to help and guide in anyway possible. The best experience ever

I didn't go into the Harbor, but park outside the entrance at a lookout point and took a few pictures from there. Then went for a walk along the beach front.

The New Harbour is a Public place, and houses all the charter whale cruises. It is easy to find in the small town of Hermanus. There is ample parking available. Make sure you book your trip by the respective charter in advance before showing up. We got to see 1000s of dolphins, a few Southern Rock Whales (and their calves), 1000s of Seagulls, Seals.

As harbours go it was a good experience. There is a lovely restaurant on the harbour. The harbour also gives you access to bird island. A must see if you are in the vicinity

Lot of parking, secure premises, nice and clean Harbour. Down side: one coffee shop and one restaurant only. Would be great if they open more places, like a pub, a fish a chip shop, more coffee and curiosity shops...

We took the boys fishing at night. What an extraordinary experience watching the local, entertaining and very skilled fisherman ~ catch squid with a bright light to attract the fish at night... absolutely thrilling. We saw schools of fish, a stingray and loads of squid. The new harbour is a truly beautiful place that gives you a real quaint blue & white harbour experience 💙

Great to see roads, verges and buildings being upgraded here! Cruises, diving, fishing, good restaurants, pubs and new NSRI Station livening the place up!

Follow our mystical sea life. When you visit Hermanus Harbour you'll be able to choose a boat tour to view whales on board - upfront and personal. The Harbour has a few boat tour charters who offer various options for all who want to see whales and other sea life in Hermanus

Amazing, really amazing. What a beautiful place it was to visit. Small little souvenirs shops for perfect gifts for family and friends. Delicious aromas wafting from the restaurants along the streets. The harbour, a beautiful setting when darkness falls leaves a person feeling nostalgic in the moment. A place to definitely revisit.
