A great path that hugs the coast line. Lots of very interesting information boards. We walked the whole path which takes around 2 hours return from the centre of town towards the new harbour. The sea views are just mind blowing. A must to do.

Confer to Cliff Path Hiking Trail Hermanus 🐳 🚢 πŸ₯Ύ A lovely trail for walking along the shore with excellent opportunities to watch the Southern Right whales in the winter season. Starting from Gearings Point to the New Harbor. Lingering for a while at the different viewing points and benches and with a little luck and patience you will get stunning and awesome views and impressions of the gentle giants. I think one of the best places for landbased whale watching. In addition a short video clip, unworked/unedited. Moreover some small maps to give an overview.

Excellent path with incredible views. We were there in mid-July and weren’t lucky enough to spot any whales, but the walk is easily worth it for the scenery. (I actually spotted both dolphins and a whale in the video I took once I got home!) Guards help maintain a sense of security. We enjoyed parking at the far end in the west end of town and walking back as it was much less crowded. Parking there was free.

The cliff pathway which stretches for kilometers along Hermanus's cliffs are absolutely awesome. During stormy weather it's liberating watching the waves crash against the cliffs and on a clear day, the views are food for the soul.

No entrance fee, view emaculent, also safe as there are patrollers

This is a fabulous cliff path for a walk or run, breathtaking views and a wide variety of fauna. The only letdown is the amount of dog mess that the locals seem happy to leave littering the path.

While on holiday I frequently went for a morning jog along the Hermanus Cliff Path, which is also known as the Fernkloff Cliff Path. The path is well maintained and very beautiful. It provides stunning views of the ocean, the town of Hermanus, the new harbor and, if you are lucky, you might even spot some whales (during the right time of the year). The path varies between elevations, but nothing too strenuous, making this a perfect option for casual strolls to high paced runs.

Great view of the Hermanus shoreline with the waves coming in an smashing on the rocks. Easy walk on a paved ground. We even saw two whales exhaling. Awesome!

Fantastic walk along the cliffs of Hermanus. Watch out for dassies, chameleons and a multitude of bird species including oyster catchers. Great walk to spot whales as well in season. Highly recommended!
