A scenic view point as one way to enter into Cape Town through Somerset West. There is a viewing point that makes for a good free activity if you are into exploring. The turns are quite sharp and the road itself is very busy so if you would like to feel safe and enjoy the view I recommend turning into the viewing spot indicated by a brown sign just as you approach the peak of the road before the view.

Often stopp here to enjoy the view but today was the last time. No visitors except a "management vehicle" with staff parked at the entrance. All three of the"baboon-proof" bins had their heavy lids taken completely off and the entire area looked worse than a garbage tip with litter covering the entire parking and surrounding nature while a troop of baboons picked through the bins. Staff member sat on the wall doing absolutely nothing to prevent it. Absolutely disgusting, and sadly I see more and more scenic places turn into dumps like this one...

The best pass I have been to this year. My car broke down here and I had the most amazing view of False Bay while waiting for the engine to cool down.

Excellent road. Two lines, usually windy. Great view of Gordon's Bay and The Helderberg. Usually you can find baboons at the top, careful, as they do cross the road.

The view at this place is sickening. You can go there and have a mini picnic, paragliding, hiking or to take pictures.

👍👍 Recently went to Idiom for breakfast followed by wine tasting. The breakfast was great, the service impeccable and the wine's delicious. It is a very modern wine farm, but has an old world feel about it. The view was exceptional. The only down side was the quite long and in some places very slow dr...

😠 The Journey can't End soon enough for these horrible people! Have you ever made an appointment for a wine tasting well in advance, driven an hour to arrive at the winery right on time, only to be told by one of the owners upon arriving at the "tasting room" that, while they recalled making our appoi...
