We had a great experience at Ashia. We especially chose it because they really do serve a purpose, it was great to get educated about the cheetahs, and also it's not one of those places where the cats are drugged and misused just for tourists. We booked the "Meet a Cheetah" tour and were taken on a tour through the premises by one of their staff members, Dane. It was just the two of us, not a big group, which was actually perfect. We had a really interesting time with Dane, he explained and told us a lot about their project and the cheetahs in their care and could answer all of our questions. Unfortunately, the Cheetah we were supposed to meet was not too interested in us as we were there just around feeding time and naturally his food was more interesting than us. But still, it was great to be able to go into his enclosure and see him without a fence inbetween. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the project and those exciting animals!

What an amazing experience. We were treated to something that guests don’t get to experience and we will cherish the memories for a life time. You can see that the people who work here actually care about the animals. The farm itself is pristine with no expenses spared. The enclosures are big and well maintained. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. We stayed over night in the caracal suite which was 5 star. High quality finishes, appliances and furniture with not a bring out of place. We will be back for sure. Our only hope is we get to experience what we experienced again. We miss Xena and Abby.

Good work being done here. The passion and love for these big cats show in the knowledge and daily activities shared by our guide. We did the basic tour but got a lot out of it. Great sanctuary for those who unfortunately cannot be released and for those who can and ARE!

Stunning views. Gorgeous animals. The staff and owners are very friendly and so passionate about the animals. You can tell they really love them and care very well for them. They are trying to release cheetahs back into the protected wild where possible. As there are less than 7000 cheetahs left world wide, they could really use your support. Great experience!

Wonderful natural views of wildlife, never watched a cheetah so closely and that too in such aggressive mood. Live experience was this in this park. South Africa has been my fascinating destination for wildlife viewing.

I was there and it was very interesting and exciting. I learned about cheetahs and could take some nice photos of them. They look that the visitors respect the animals and do not disturb them, what is very important at my opinion. The enclosures look very nice and big and the Tourguide knows all animals with name and background story. I think that's a good sign too that this is great. Greetings from Germany (excuse me for my mistakes)

We stood in front of the closed door several times during the café's opening hours. When we tried to arrange the tour offered for 9 a.m. by phone, it was brought forward to 7 a.m. at short notice.

Absolutely loved it!! Cheetahs, servals, leopards and other big cats live in generous, lush and green enclosures. Not a petting zoo (and afraid no selfies with the cats either!). Guided tours only - seemed flexible on the schedule though. Well worth your while and money if you’re an enthusiast!

I obviously appreciate the work they do, however it was not clear to me that you won't see a single live Cheetah unless you go on a paid tour which is 60-90 minutes. Also no under 18's are allowed. ie. No children, which is very unusual. I've only ever visited places like this to show my children! Just glad I found out before I turned up with a toddler, as there is no sign saying this until you get to the front door. Check out the fun things to do on the website first & remember to book!

Cool place with cheetah’s and leopards. We went for the cheetahrun but it was to windy. Instead we got to help with feeding the cheetahs, very cool experience. The guide tells a lot and took her time to answer all our questions.

Amazing experience at Ashia. We were the first visitors since lockdown, and we were blessed to see every cheetah. All came out to greet us. Kate, our guide was amazing, full of interesting facts, and clearly passionate about the animals in her care.

Absolutely amazing work these guys are doing. Always go for non touching if you seriously care about the animals and not just want your photos taken with cats.

Only kids above 16 years and older allowed. No restaurant, only cheese and juice available. Arrived at 12h20 and they told us the next trip to see the cheetahs is at 15h30.

I have never seen Cheetahs so close. It was quite an experience! They are well taken care off and have a special bond with the people working at the sanctuary. Booking before hand is essential, because you are only allowed to see the cheetahs with a tour guide. Their is even a small coffee shop that serves food at the premises.

(Translated by Google) Smaller park than average but the animals have enough space and had the feeling that the animals are super well cared for. Also a lot of information about the animals (Original) Kleiner park dan gemiddeld maar de dieren hebben genoeg ruimte en had het gevoel dat de dieren super goed verzorgd worden. Ook veel informatie over de dieren

We stayed in the Carcal suite it was stunning, Ranger the domestic cat kept us entertained during our stay. The place is immaculate and staff friendly and very accommodating. Just be aware that there is no facilities for supper and you have to go out for that which is no hardship but it would have been better if food was available on site.
