We popped in for breakfast and what a delicious surprise it was! Unusual choice and vegetarian too (curried cauliflower) and egg. Yum! Lovely to sit outside in the sun too

I literally cannot wait to go back! My husband and I occasionally drive through Bot River on the way to somewhere else. This time, on the spur of the moment, we Googled a place to stay, saw the good ratings, and booked a night in the Pepper Tree Cottage at Beaumont. I am really happy to say that the high ratings are well deserved. Loved the wines and the inviting tasting room. The room was gorgeous and excellent value for money for a place that size. We bought food from local farm stalls and made ourselves a wonderful meal in the well-equipped kitchen, and enjoyed it looking at the gorgeous flowers and birds around us. It was all so perfect, it reminded me how wonderful it is to be alive and to live in South Africa. The first thing I did when we left was round up some girlfriends to book out both cottages. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.

Beaumont is a neighboring wine farm and we love popping in for a lunch occasionally. It is absolutely beautiful. There is seating outside under the trees or indoors, it is casual, the staff are warm and friendly. The menu is small but the food is excellent. Don't expect pizzas and burgers. The meze platter is excellent and I love their hot smoked salmon salad. My partner gobbled up his dish - a gruyer and onion tart with kale salad. The owners dogs lounge around in the sunshine and may come for a tickle, and the owners themselves are usually on hand and very friendly. It's really a wonderful wonderful wine farm to visit. And also lovely to just pop in for a coffee and cake....if wine is not your thing. But you'd have to be crazy to not try their wines! There is also a deli with great take home meals, gifts etc and of course the wines are outstanding. Most definitely worth a visit. Oh yes...don't forget dessert. The apple and rhubarb crumble is sublime!

Wow, what an amazing experience. Being served by the owner with the wine tasting was the best experience ever. He was so chilled and explained everything nicely. Some of the best wines that we have tasted in the area.

Great small wine farm. Good wine, lovely light lunch. Not dog friendly as they have their own but they made a plan for our party with 2 dogs.

We stayed in The Mill Cottage on the estate. It's a beautiful cottage which takes you back in time, but has all the modern amenities you need. We also enjoyed the restaurant of Beaumont for wines, cake and coffee. You can walk on the estate along the vines, a very nice stroll to start the day in a very special place. We would definitely recommend staying here. You can take you own food for a nice braai, or buy home made meals at the farm shop.

The venue is just wow...this place has it all...from the vineyards to the outdoor adventure options to wine tasting, restaurant, kids entertainment it has it all...the place is beautiful & tranquil & the wines are good...we also bought some meals to take away...the meals are around R350 for a large container...for about 3 people...but the lake & nature really got me...there is also horse riding trails, bike trails & just walking trails...highly recommend this stop on your way...

We have paid several visits to Beaumont Family Wines and taken guests several times. All were unanimous that the experience was great with excellent wines and meals. Our German and Australian guests loved their wine tasting and meals.

Fantastic wine tasting at this boutique vineyard. That wooded Chenin is incredible. Really enjoyed the Mouvedre too. We'd eaten quite a late breakfast, so weren't very hungry but when we saw all the delicious looking food going past, we just had to order some starters.. Very tasty. We'll definitely be back for a full meal. Lovely, well stocked deli too. Can't wait to go back.

Beaumont has a quaint feel with a tasting run w and adjacent take out and dining space. You'll find a few whites are reds two sample. Their flagship white wines (most notably Hope Marguerite) are currently priced at R395 which, while not the most expensive in South Africa, places them far in the upper reaches of blanc. Consistently high ratings from Tim Akin no doubt bolster the price. Come and then enjoy more of what Bot Rivier has to offer.

Spent 2 nights at the Old Mill Cottage with our 2 little ones, and everyone had a blast. Super friendly people, great food, nature to play and expore in and overall a beautiful spot to take everything in. Thank you for having us (and the MTB trail tip - fun little ride!)
