Difficult
one
to
review
this
one,
as
the
room
was
gorgeous
but
it
could
be
so
much
better.
We
booked
the
deluxe
suite.
The
service
was
pretty
poor
from
the
start,
we
arrived
at
1-40pm,
admittedly
for
a
2pm
check
in.
At
first
we
couldn't
find
a
staff
member
as
there
was
no
one
about.
There
seemed
to
be
some
confusion
where
the
key
was
but
no
communication
with
us
about
it,
we
just
stood
around
waiting.
We
were
eventually
asked
if
we'd
like
a
glass
of
wine
whilst
we
waited
but
that
didn't
happen,
we
just
sat
in
the
garden
waiting?
At
just
after
2pm
I
asked
if
the
room
was
ready
and
were
told
we
could
go
to
the
room
but
when
we
got
there
the
cleaner
was
still
there
working
and
she
asked
us
to
sit
outside
whilst
she
finished.
(It
was
a
fair
walk
with
cases
over
uneven
ground
with
the
cases
from
the
car
to
the
room
entrance
which
is
at
the
back
but
no
help
was
offered.)
At
2.30
the
room
was
still
being
cleaned,
so
we
gave
up
and
changed
our
plans
and
decided
to
drive
into
town
but
had
to
be
back
to
get
the
key
before
5pm
as
the
reception
closes
then.
The
deluxe
suite
is
actually
attached
to
the
owners
main
home,
with
a
locked
connecting
door
and
the
"private
pool"
seems
to
be
actually
the
main
house's
pool
which
presumably
they
just
don't
use
when
guest's
are
in
the
annexe?
The
room
itself
is
really
gorgeous,
a
good
size
bedroom,
a
separate
dressing
area
with
lots
of
wardrobe
space
and
a
kettle
and
toaster.
Lovely
bedding
a
d
a
comfortable
bed
with
a/c
in
the
bedroom.
The
bathroom
is
huge
and
an
absolute
WOW.
A
huge
twin
head
walk-in
shower
and
2
sinks
plus
a
roll
top
bath.
I'd
say
the
best
bathroom
we'd
ever
had
in
a
hotel
or
home!
However,
the
toilet
seemed
like
it
was
going
to
overflow
every
time
it
was
flushed.
The
"wow"
though
stops
once
you
get
outside,
the
pool
was
grubby
with
uneven
tile
around
it
and
paint
peeling
from
the
bottom
of
the
pool.
The
sun
loungers
were
old
and
falling
to
bits,
although
I
did
manage
to
repair
one.
The
patio
area
had
bits
of
plaster
falling
off
and
was
generally
in
need
of
some
TLC.
The
views
from
the
property
are
absolutely
stunning
over
the
surrounding
mountains.
The
dirt
driveway
to
the
property
is
poor,
especially
the
first
bend
past
reception,
where
you
really
had
to
approach
at
speed
in
a
low
gear
or
you
wouldn't
get
around
it.
My
very
first
time
took
3
attempts
with
the
wheels
just
getting
stuck
in
the
sand
in
our
basic
rental
car.
It's
only
a
10
minute
drive
from
Franschoek
and
is
surrounded
by
lots
of
other
lovely
vineyards.
We
never
heard
from
the
owners
during
the
stay
and
on
checking
out
wasn't
asked
anything
about
how
the
stay
went.
So
a
mixed
review,
some
really
great
things
to
like
here
but
overall
we
wouldn't
stay
again.
