🫤 Definately not for animal lovers as the enclosures are extremely small. We went on a hot day and there is not enough shade or water holes for the animals. The restaurant is lovely though. Peaceful and the pizzas are delicious. Awesome gardens and pond to relax at. People often mention farm, wine, tasting, animals, cats, beautiful, experience, time, kids, staff,

Enjoy wine tasting at R60 for 5 wines and add a nice cheese platter for R180. The weather was ver bad and we didn't visit the big cats. There is a deli where we taste myskadel/port for R50 for 5. Enjoyed biltong soup afterwards. Al's other food, cake, etc available. There is also gin tasting, restaurant and play park for kids available on the farm. Can enjoy a whole day on the darm

We love it here. Our 3 year old son LOVES visiting the big cats and the animal farm. We were a group of 10 that went wine tasting - it was an enjoyable experience. The tasting was R60 and cheese platter was R180. The fireplace is great.

Where do i begin to explain this well thought out concept of an establishment? Everything well thought out and planned, till execution. I really enjoyed my meal and seeing the big cats. My daughter is usually fussy on our outings and always ready to go home, but this time around she was properly amazed and excited. The place is huge and i have a feeling was designed for people to spend the whole day there 😅. Everyone is catered for, from kids to adults and young adults.

This was my first big cat experience which I throughly enjoyed. The guide who took our group around was well informed and answered all our questions with satisfying and helpful insight to the lives of these big cats. The entrance is beautiful, it almost feels as thought you are driving to something that's hidden. This farm is massive and all the animals are well taken care off. The animals are so beautiful, they are kept safe from anyone hurting them and them from hurting anyone. I would say the best part of this was the feeding time, which normally takes places at 11am or 3pm. It's the best time to get up and personally but of course not too personal with the cats. I would recommend this place to families, schools, or just anyone who wants a knowledgeable experience of these beautiful cats.

Always a nice place to chill in the garden, have a drink and a bite to eat. Unfortunately, due to Lockdown and the South African Government's war against alcohol, we were not able to sample any of the wines the farm produces. Hopefully we'll be able to do this at the next visit. Besides the Big Cat Reserve, they've now added a petting zoo. I love the big cats, but if you have little ones and you're looking for a place to visit, definitely consider Vredenheim.

The Farm offers so much besides that it is beautiful out there. The family of animals on the farm is a great addition. You can stop and go to Hudsons for breakfast or lunch with breathtaking views. If you are into classic cars you have definitely arrived at the right spot. Well that's not it cause if you love classic cars and you starting to love gin like me???? You are in luck as you have to trying Classic Cats where you taste amazing gin while admiring the classics. This place is great for weddings with amazing grounds. There is so much more to explore but I'm going to leave that to the imagination or for you to experience the amazing Vredenheim Farm for yourself!!!!

Absolutely beautiful place. Serene place to either relax or take the kids out. Beautiful for birthday parties for kids. Big cats feeding at 11am and 3pm. Game drives. The staff are all so polite and absolutely amazing people, helpful and friendly. Clean toilets. Farm animal feeds and also horse riding. Relax by the lake or even have wine tasting or lunch at the restaurant.

What a magical place. With a range of things to do. From the animal farm for the littlies to the big cats section which is definitely worth a visit. There is a resturant as well as wine, Port and Gin tasting areas as well as a small gift shop. The wide lawns provide a casual walking areas for families, couple and kids with a jungle gym to keep small children occupied. Most of the farm is fully accessible to those in a wheelchair. With ample parking the scenic views are there for everyone. It is a pity that Barrique resturant is no longer there as thay was always amazing for us. But the function venue and small chapel remains. Ideal for weddings with incredible photo opportunities.

I’ve been here so much, but enjoy it every time. The CatPark is my favorite especially when it’s feeding time, then you can get a close up on the lions, tigers, leopard and cheetah. The animal park is also good, and great for families. I love the gin bar with essential oils.

It was an absolutely amazing place to take the family. Especially kids. They have an animal farm and a big cat zoo. Kids will enjoy seeing farm animals and feeding them. The grounds are very scenic with lovely shaded areas for picnics and relaxation. Even offer a game drive to see some springbok and other antelope.

This restaurants staff are not helpful at all! Stood for 5 minutes before I approached a staff member to ask if they have space for us 2 (Womens Day 9/8/2022 @10.30am) 80% of the restaurant was empty she then pointed to the manager who said no we are waiting on our reserved guests. But only a couple of them had reserved signs.

Lovely well cared for animals to see. The gin tasting and pizza was great. The gin selection is the largest I have ever seen. 105 different gins. The staff working in the gin bar very knowledgeable. The black leopard was unusual. Did not know they existed.

Booked game drive for 4 adults and animal farm for 1 adult and 3 year old. What a disappointment. Signage not very clear as to where game drive started. Staff not aware that we booked. Game drive was an absolute waste of time and money. Few animals roaming on a dry piece of farm land. I will not recommend this game drive to anyone I will not recommend this game drive

I loved loved the place, the wine tasting and Gin tasting were very interesting and epic👌👌🥂 time was the enemy of our moments Just the hudson restaurant is very limited food wise, no ribs? No wings? How?😢😥 No sea food Was so disappointed But I also liked their garden 🪴 beautiful

The views and setting are stunning, truly a beautiful place. Quite disappointed in the service received though, the staff on duty was not very helpful and seemed very rushed to get things done and then didn't give us our feeding bags... Also thought the animal farm would have more animals and be more interactive, had hoped to be able to hold some animals, there was only one lonely rabbit who didn't seem pleased and no staff on duty when we had questions. The Hudsons restaurant was also only OK. The food was very average which is sad considering all the raves I'd heard. But again, the place itself is very beautiful, although further in distance than I thought it was, but the kids enjoyed the space to run around.

Went there for the first time today. What a wonderful experience. The food was top notch. We had the gourmet burger and the Guinness steak pie. The portions were ample. The pie was like nothing I've tasted before and I was a chef for more than 20 years. We also enjoyed the Big Cats. The grandson had a fantastic time in the playground. Will definitely be going back.

Stunning location and fun for the whole family. Come early as the parking gets super packed. One of the locations that offers a good deal on the grape juice. Their animals and the kids activities are pretty neat and the relaxing atmosphere and views are refreshing. Customer service might need some polishing but pretty good based on my experience. Thanks for a good Sunday.

The property is beautiful and an awesome experience with the activities like animal farm and big cat experiences especially the white bengal tigers. A big down side is their restaurant Hudsons and their menu. It has no/limited options except cheese and meet for pairing and steak. We were so hungry after all big cats encounter and their feeding, the time we reached restaurant to order food and surprised there is nothing there except steak. So it is only for the persons who likes steak with wine not for everybody.

Disappointed with the service made some reservations on time for 13:00 for 10 people and nobody informed me about the wedding taking place at for 16:00. I was informed on the arrival that by 15:30 we must be out of restaurant. Was not impressed at all we had to rush and run around like headless chicken to get a venue for cutting of cake 👎. Food wise 👍 the waiters 👍

The waiters were so friendly. Thier service was just great. The white guy at the gin bar and S'nazo at the wine tasting side, they were good, respectful. They are the reason why I'm gonna visit again. The food was tasty also. Thank you once more for your service ❤️

Location is beautiful, we only went to see the big cats, and at first they were just laying around, so we couldn't see much of them but after a while, they came right up to the fence and it was amazing, I would suggest going with the tour guide(very informative)

We had a lunch there, outside under the trees. Beautiful setting. Our food was excellent, 4 different meals for 4 of us and we were all happy (pizza with thin crust, steak properly made medium and grilled white fish not too dry nor watery). The only thing I would ask to try to change the coffee could be better...either the machine or the coffee something was not right. But is is a minor issue as everything else was great! Staff attentive and kind! Thank you!

Great gin. Great wine. Food menu is limited due to covid but still delicious and a little varied. The main attraction are the lions, white tigers, leopards and bengals.

Lovely location however take the Covid lockdown restrictions into account. Limited restaurant menus and no kids wildlife tractor tours. Not the establishment's fault but these are things you must take into account.

  • 3/5 Wiehahn K. 3 years ago on Google
A massive farm with a lot to do and I do believe that it offers something for the whole family with the big cat experience and the multiple other activities including the Gin tastings, restaurant etc. From my perspective as someone who visited the farm for a wine tasting experience, I was slightly disappointed. The wine tasting area almost feels like an afterthought. People are constantly moving through the dark area to get to other activities and the outside area is squeezed into a corner with strange odors. When it comes to the wine the Cabernet Sauvignon is ok, but there was nothing to really write home about. If you want a wine tasting experience, you could do a lot better, however the rest of the farm could still offer a great day out and we will be back to try it all.

Beautiful place...we had a wedding reception there ..it was absolute breath taking...

  • 1/5 Abrie D. 3 years ago on Google
Lots of potential, staff have no etiquette, manners or customer service knowledge, they sit in their blankets in front of the fire, where the customers should be enjoying themselves, we were the only customers there but had to call for service with the staff all around us, the bathrooms were also a mess apparently, luckily I did not have to use them...
