The houses in this place are amazing and the grounds are very well kept. We stayed in a unit at the beach and it was great to be so close to the breaking waves. The only down side of the place is its location. It is right next to what seems like an informal settlement, which you drive through to get to the main gate. There is security and it is surrounded by a wall, but the wall doesn't prevent people from simply walking around it. The wall stops at the beach and the property is easily accessible by walking around the wall on the rocks. The house we stayed in had clear signs of attempted break-ins, since pretty much anyone can gain access to the property. You can just walk in and not pass through the security gate. We won't go again as we didn't feel that we were safe here.

Our stay was good, unit beautiful and clean. Only down side is all the shacks next to the facility. Dogs barking non stop and music playing. Not safe to take a stroll on the beach, there is warning signs of muggings.

The place is neat however the services need to be upgraded a bit. For example, there is no wifi, using open view channels, no towels, 5 ml dishwasher and the toilet was not working 100. Other than that, it's okay and very neat.

Very safe and nice estate right by the cliffs. However, one of the approach roads is through a sketchy part of town and must be avoided. Guards reccomend not walking out of the beach club on foot. No restaurants/cafes/supermarkets inside the complex (a bar and small convenience shop exist) so plan accordingly for short stays.

1. Security concerns!!! When we arrived it looked like we’re entering a industrial site/yard. The complex is located next to a informal settlement. Doesn’t feel very holiday!!! 2. After paying R10000 for 4 nights you’ed expect a clean apartment with clean floors and windows so you can see the amazing view, we got the direct opposite. Worst was there was no brooms, squeegees, buckets, hosepipe nothing to even do it yourself. Had to buy it just to see the view. It costs R250/300 to get a cleaner for a day before your guests arrive, please don’t be greedy…

A great pity that the munisipality allowed the shack dwellers to build on the same road as the resort. The gardens are lovely and the access is great to the rocks from where many whales delighted us. The units are comfortable.

If you don’t mind driving through a slum getting to this place then I guess its ok. I felt unsafe. Slum is literally on the other side of the property wall.

This is a lovely vacation complex on the Hermanus coastline. I can see that it is an ideal place for family vacation. It is quite central and it has hospital and shops close by. We were using it as a central place to sleep while photographing the surrounding areas. The only concern is the fact that you feel surrounded by informal settlement.

First Group Hermanus Beach Club is absolutely amazing. Fantastic staff. Rooms are clean and smart.

Close to the shore, with beautiful of the ocean. They have tennis courts, swimming pools for adults and kids respectively, putt putt, pool tables, a game room, a safe walking area, cleaning services, and close to the central part of Hermanus.

My rating for this place is so low as my vehicle was damaged due to a tenant / owner / vagrant that thought it was a good idea to stap my car tyre and scratch the paint. This was after same person keeped on knocking on our door during the night. The info file gives emergency numbers that dont work. The unit we stayed in had a phone that doesnt work. The result.. R34k of damages with no attempt from the resort to set things right. Never ever will I go there again for the fact that the supposed security service was nowhere to be seen and th emergency numbers were unreachable... even tried the police station. Loadshedding gets blamed... no.. no... no. Stay away!

Resort is clean with a lovely setting on the beachfront. Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately the whole resort is surrounded by a swatter camp and is quite noisy at night. Also feel unsafe in the resort. We will not be returning.

Once you are inside the resort, it is lovely. Unit we were in was small, but very adequate. Great view of the bay.

We had the best time of our lives for the two days we stayed there. What a nice Ocean view!! so beautiful, clean, neat and beautiful house we stayed in. I am going back this Saturday for my birthday with my family.

The complex is surrounded by informal settlement which made me a bit uncomfortable plus the 4hrs load shedding. Overally the place is nice

We still haven't received pre paid deposit that agent took from us. The location is totally shocking - it's in geto around the township we have been scared to go back there after sundown..The owner been trying to break in at night opening with his own keys from the outside without any warning!!! The tv wasn't working. A managing agent Verona from Vision Whalecoast who is so-called managing the property is absolutely incompetent and extremely arrogant. Terrible experience.

I found a pair of socks in my bed from a previous owner. The bed sheets were filthy and not replaced. You can see sweat stains on the sheets. The shower head was broken, and the bathroom floor was dirty. Poor maintenance!

Affordable yet small. Club house and families and very enjoyable.

Place is very well managed. Rooms are very big worth every cent Had a great time and will go again.

Loved the stillness and relaxed atmosphere. The apartments are well stocked with everything you need for a great stay. It's definitely a home away from home.

Very nice big unit. Unfortunately weather was very bad strong winds damaged power infra structure and we were without power for three days. The staff assisted with boiling water and helped to be able to make coffee. Also had generator available one afternoon to charge cellphones.

Nice & kid friendly place inside ,put put was abit pricy for the kids R50 per stick per kid ,but the kids enjoyed the tennis as we had our own bats & balls ,,walking on the beach early morning for sunrise was very safe as well as sunset ,, the only putoff was as u drive up to the entry of the beach club the shacks on the one side is a put off u dnt feel safe but wen u inside we were safe & as I said we enjoyed the weekend .

Well maintained resort....8 sleeper very comfortable...braai place available...covered parking for one vehicle...additional open parking also available...well stocked kitchen...good security control....well maintained swimming pool...bar and recreational facilities available.

The place is nice and very peaceful👌👌👌. Unit 198 give that place a bad name. The floors was sticky 😭😭😭. The mop u left us 2 clean looked like u 1st put it in black sand😭😭😭. Ur cupboards smells we had 2 leave our clothes in our bags😭😭😭. Ur bedding smelled and had stains on😭😭😭. Ur couches looked like it was never cleaned since u bought it😭😭😭. Ur shower tiles was dirty😭😭😭. The owner or owner's of Unit 198😭😭😭should read up what it means 2 give a place a deep clean ofter a tenant leaves. We worked had 2 save for a nice holiday. U gave that whole place a bad name😭😭😭.

Holiday letting available and its just nice going to a place where the little one can run around with the ocean sounds in the bacground. Cozy little apartment with all the amenities you need.

Literally right on the beach! Beautiful beach vibe with clean beautiful rooms, perfect for family getaway! Gorgeous setting to watch the sun rise and right on the water. Games room and clubhouse with bar in the estate.

The facilities were absolutely incredible and the location on the beach was also fantastic! It would have gotten a complete 5 stars if it were not for the neighboring tin shacks right across the street Of course this is more South African politics and economics, but it can be quite unpleasant, especially during the night.
