A must when overnighting on Hermanus. They also have a cinema where you can watch sport. The views from the rooms to the ocean are very relaxing. Occasionally, you'll meet the owners on the property for a chat

Our sea facing room boasted spectacular views of the ocean the rooms are large and spacious with a shower and a bath tub. The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous. A good example of what service should be. Special mention to Siya, Jason and Junaid you guys are so sincere In all that you do. Just a pity that the hotel did not have a room service option.

This is what you can call a proper hotel. Position right on the beach. Ambience simply noble. Staff amazing, professional, more than helpful, really nice. Dinner at the old house restaurant was not good but breakfast was excellent.

Misty Waves was a fabulous hotel in a great location. The room was a good size, very comfortable bed and had a large bathroom with large bath and separate shower. There were lots of fluffy towels and toiletries. The welcome was very friendly and helpful. And included a glass of fizz. There was excellent security. There was a good selection at breakfast. The room had a balcony overlooking the pool. We were in a great location for whale watching. The bay was full of them.

Even the best businesses make mistakes , misty waves is no exception , however , the way they fixed the mistake is why they are one of the best hotels in Hermanus . Will definately go back .

I really liked the part where they put a jacuzzi in the bathroom along with a separate shower. The view depends on the room you get. We got a room with a great view. I also noticed that each room has a different interior and each one is unique.

We have just returned from 2.5 weeks in SA to the UK, we booked 2 nights at Misty Waves which we extended to 4 nights as we liked it so much, the hotel and staff are wonderful, as is Hermanus which in our opinion is the best area on the Garden Route, the hotel owner who can often be seen tending the wonderful grounds is a lovely man, the breakfast restaurant was also great with very attentive staff, we also had dinner there a couple of times which was excellent Can’t recommend this hotel etc highly enough and can’t wait to get back there at soon as possible Cyd Negus and Tony Graddon

My husband and I came here on honeymoon for 2 nights and had the best stay! The facilities are beautiful and our room had an amazing view of the ocean- which was right across the road! Our breakfast was delicious- both the buffet and warm breakfast! The staff were friendly and everyone went the extra mile. We wouldn't recommend this place enough! We will certainly be back soon! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special.

What a great place. Family owned and run makes all the difference. Excellent accomadation and service with a smile. 1km from town center with beautiful views of the sea on the Marine Drive. We will definitely come back.

The hotel gets a solid 5 stars. The staff, the rooms, the service was definitely one of the best we had in South Africa. The restaurant for lunch service is just not that great. Take a quick walk into town and there are many lovely restaurants.

Misty waves is a beautiful spot to enjoy Hermanus! The large rooms have sea view balconies to enjoy your complimentary drink from. The staff were extremely helpful and made our stay incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend.

We have been visiting MistyWaves for a few years now and have always been very satisfied with everything all the staff are lovely and attentive and a very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely big spacious rooms with a sea view. After a complicated check in which was dealt with exceptionally well by a young receptionist we had 3 lovely nights. But just need to say an extra special thank you to Siya who was extremely helpful and attentive when we needed medical help. He rang the hospital and gave us clear directions how to get there luckily not to far away as it was late at night . After a couple of hours when we returned the night porter must have informed him of our return and he rang our room to check all was good. Thanks again

The room I saw was very nice and it had a spectacular view with possibilities to see whales from your room

The room and view was pretty awesome. The rest not so much. We were on the first floor so the room above having had air-conditioning running had constant water dripping noise, the water would then be on the super slippery tiles on the balcony on which I slipped and hurt myself at least 4 times. When sitting on the balcony you just get the water drip-spraying on you, kinda like someone spitting one you continuously. None of the pools looked clean and never saw a pump working so just static old water floating about. Was quite disappointed to be honest

Misty Waves is an absolutely Fantastic place, the decor in the rooms are magnificent, top notch service, we stayed 4 days and after 2 days we were upgraded to another room. Rates are reasonable in comparison to what you get. Breakfast at The Heritage Restaurant which is part of the Hotel is well worth it. There is a solar pool, a standard pool plus a huge jacuzzi for at least 10 visitors, will definitely visit again. The owner Clinton and his wife are super friendly and very hands on.

Very nice place except the whole time there was hide costs. I phoned and made the reservation for R1850 bed and breakfast. When we arrive they said it's going to be R2000 for bed and breakfast. The morning after breakfast they said it's another R170 extra. Feel they can't keep by their prices.

Hermanus is the perfect place for relaxing! And this beautiful boutique hotel with an uninterrupted view of the serene waters is the just the needed thing. The rooms are very spacious with the gorgeous balconies. The artifacts and the architecture has a resemblance of Greece. The colour combinations throughout the hotel are perfect with a lot of places to sit back and relax.

Surprisingly opulent. Beautiful rooms, reasonably priced. Great location. The only odd thing is the breakfast buffet. It’s served in a restaurant that serves the public too. So if your booking doesn’t include breakfast, then just opt for the a la carte. Breakfast was delicious though. Their in-house movie theatre was a nice surprise.
