Not so great. The hostess was quite unfriendly. We had to walk down a steep set of stairs each time to get coffee or tea or watch television. It was very overpriced for what we got. You have a view of the beach ahead, but you have to stand up each time to get a full view of it. The shower leaked badly and the entire bathroom floor was wet afterwards. I do not recommend.

No coffee or refreshments in room. Steep stairs- not middle age friendly. Breakfast offered at 8am- which is late for the earlier traveller. Not recommended for budgeting travellers, like us.

We had a wonderful two weeks with our hosts Merijke and Han. They were gracious and helpful in every way. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they recommended restaurants and booked us somewhere fabulous every night. Our room was bright, clean and airy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfasts were a delight. Plenty of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, home baked bread and then cooked eggs etc every morning. Walker Bay Manor comes highly recommended to the next lucky guests. Lynda and Geoffrey Robins

This establishment is in the main road. We found it extremely noisy at night - passing traffic sounds echo through to the rooms. The good thing is that the Cliff Path is just across the road. We stayed 1 night only but I don't think we would have coped with many sleepless nights. The rooms were lovely though and our room had a view. The lounge had comfortable coaches. We did not take the breakfast option so cannot comment. Friendly hostess.

We had a very good stay here. The room is very neat and equipped with all necessities. The beds are perfect and heated in winter time. The breakfast is very extensive and good! There are places where you can sit with a game or a drink. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful. It is well located with nice views from the rooms within walking distance to scenic hiking sites and other activities. Hermanus is nice to visit and you can spot whales very well close by. What is also nice with less nice weather is the wine route that you can drive with nice wine tasting and on the route.

Special little place, central to everything really. The pool area is so well kept, I was envious. The host was such a special person!

Very nice and big room, everything was clean and a super friendly host. We got many great recommendations for things to do or restaurants. The garden is very beautiful and the breakfast was very delicious and made with love. Hermanus has a lot of things to offer, I would recommend to stay two nights to have enough time to check out everything. It was a pleasure to stay at the Walker Bay Manor Mansion.

Marijke made us very welcome. She was a friendly and helpful host. The room was lovely and overlooked the beautifully kept garden c/w swimming pool. Excellent breakfasts and tea/coffee available in the lounge. You could walk across the road and join the coastal footpath. Manor Close to town centre on main road.

Walker Bay Manor is a stunning little guest house in a gorgeous location just near the coatsal path. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great quality sheets and linen. The breakfast was a delicious spread including fresh fruit, bread, cheese, as well as a hot breakfast freshly prepared by the host. I highly recommend staying here and wish I'd been around for longer to enjoy the coastal path, the pretty garden, and more of the incredible service!

The moment we stepped in the door, we fell in love with Walker Bay Manor. Marijke was there to receive us and showed us the stunning mountain view room. The view is breathtaking, the room is spacious and cosy, the bed was very comfortable and the fresh flowers were a very personal and appreciated touch. Marijke helped us with dinner reservations (excellent), walking (stunning) and shopping (successful to say the least) recommendations. We felt already very much at home, but when we came to the breakfast in the gorgeous garden, we wanted to move in! Do yourself a favour and book here - it will be fantastic.
