We were here last year this time. I still can't get over the wonderful stay we had. Stefan and Nikki are very warm and welcoming. The room was super clean. The breakfast is out of this world. If ever I'm in Hermanus again, I'd definately book here again

We had an amazing stay here. The suite was spacious, clean, comfortable and well decorated. Stefan and Nikki are amazing hosts; very accommodating, lots of good recommendations, and fun to chat with. I probably had one of the best breakfasts of my life there - Stefan is a great cook! And their dogs are so cute! Thank you so much! Louis and Virginia.

Everything is just perfect! It is easy to find, you can also safetly park you car, the room in big with an even bigger and cozy bed and the Breakfast is perfekt. Stephan and Nikki are very nice and helped US with our questions and told us about Hermanus and what we can do on our next long drive to Plettenberg Bay. We would always come back on our next trip!

The hosts Nikki & Stephan were super nice och friendly. They arranged a baby crib and a larger room to suit us and our 1 year old. The breakfast was really good. Located nicely in Hermanus within 10-15 mins of walking to the city center. If you are looking for an affordable och great housing in Hermanus, look no further - book Penguino Guesthouse!

Lovely guesthouse with superb service, great breakfast and nice pool area. The location is also good and only 10 minute walk away from the city centre.

I would challenge even the most curmudgeonly reviewer to find anything negative to say about this delightful place. The hosts Nikki and Stefan could not have been more gracious, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room itself had everything one could possibly ask for, and was spotlessly clean and well-presented. It's also ideally located close to town. Highly recommended.

Wonderful guest house. Warm and welcoming owners with great tips for eating and sightseeing in Hermanus. The breakfasts are a culinary delight! Hope to be back again soon. Highly recommend for a short, or longer stay in Hermanus.

Best place in South-Africa!! Wonderful people hosting this great guest house. We had a warm welcome and our stay was just perfect. We spent two nights here and a few things must be said: Stefan and Nikki are two gracious hosts, with great cooking skills (breakfast is awesome), good recommendations and even better stories (best one is about a whale and white shark encounter). Room is really comfortable and Hermanus is a breathtaking location in general. A must visit!

The lady(owner) is not very welcoming, and we asked for the pool to be cleaned so we could use it. Nobody cleaned it. The 2 starts is only for her husband who was a very good host. Goes the extra mile type of service.

What a lovely place. It is a stones throw from the beach boardwalk. Lovely, clean modern rooms. Super friendly owners and a wonderful breakfast. Would definitly stay again.
