Always enjoy staying at Arabella Hotel. We booked for our wedding anniversary an came to our room with a sweet gesture, always going out of there way to make our stay extra special. Had a lagoon facing room that was spectacular. Staff always friendly an helpful. Definitely recommend.

I went for a back, neck & shoulder massage. Very average. The receptionist not very friendly or forthcoming with information. Had to ask her how to go outside to the pools. Didn't offer to share wifi password & wasn't at the reception desk all the time. Other guests that I met in the changing rooms didn't get robes. In my opinion, this is not how you run a spa. I wasn't asked whether I enjoyed my treatment. Felt a bit clinical. The facilities were great, service lacked.

This property on your way to Hermanus has it all. Stunning views, beautiful scenery, wonderful accommodation and a great golf course. Having attended a conference recently at this resort I left impressed and will certainly be returning. The hotel may feel kind of dated but the rooms offer space, comfort and luxury not even to mention the views overlooking the lagoon. Dining options at the hotel did not disappoint with breakfast being the highlight of the choices. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot to unwind, play some golf and just take in the sights

The experience is top notch . Worth every penny. In fact, it is a level about many 5 star hotels. I enjoyed the private location, out from the busy town of Hermanus and city of Cape Town.

Spent the weekend at the hotel and spa. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent as well as the dinner and room service food we ordered . The spa treatments we booked as well as the spa facilities we used throughout the stay made the visit well worth it.

I personally had a great experience here. My company had a company wide retreat here, and it was fulfilling. The rooms are well lit and equipped. The staff were very cautious and warm, pretty helpful too. Say me Hi to the guys at the bar - helped me with choice nonalcoholic mixes. The scenery was great. The rooms were good. Food was nice too. Totally loved my experience, and would recommend.

Wow , Arabella is always a treat. Fantastic golf course. It will test all levels of golfer. The views over the lagoon etc are breathtaking. The hotel is truly something to behold. Well positioned with magnificent views from the lobby across the lagoon and a few holes. Would highly recommend Arabella to one and all. For those that don’t fancy golf make use of the spa.

What an exquisite experience. The rooms are lovely, good use of space - lots of cupboard space! The location is perfect allowing for beautiful views from all locations. Service is stellar - always at hand but never intrusive. It was a real treat staying at the Arabella!

I attended a company conference at the Arabella. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The rooms were spacious and luxurious. I couldn't fault anything during my time there. I'd highly recommend it as a venue for corporate events.

Exceptional facility, great golf course and staff on the course. The entertainment areas are stunning. Some of the staff from the hotel service level was not on par as the rest. But a great destination.

Excellent holiday destination. Service was good but requires improvement in housekeeping and breakfast chef service. Overall one of the best stays. Some of my colleagues expressed that the alcoholic drinks were too expensive. I was not consuming alcohol.

Had a breakaway weekend with some friends. Very nice location! Beautiful view of lagoon from our room. Dinner, however... was a bit of a disaster. We did book a table for 6 people for eight the evening. When we got there no table for us! They were able to squeeze us in but they made mistakes with our food order which arrived about two hours later!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch with our 4 friends, 6 adults & 2 little ones. 2 people wanted hamburgers with medium to well done meat-patties, but it was underdone and not warm enough. The others had chicken curry, which was mediocre but my chicken schnitzel was very good. All the chips was also good. The kids enjoyed their pizza and the deserts were all divine. If we were not relaxed, the service would be much too slow, but at least it was still weekend.πŸ˜‰πŸ™‚

Amazing property. 18-hole Golf course is one of the best in South Africa and is very well managed. Views from room are amazing. Wish outdoor pool was heated, as when temperature below 20 it's unusable.

It would have been a five star had it not been for the bad service received from Aiden the manager. We stayed at the place for 2 nights and had buffet for dinner on both occasions. Beautiful hotel, it’s our second time here. For our second dinner we had buffet and the chicken kebabs were raw, after returning these to Aiden the manager who promised to sort it out, we waited for 40 minutes until we decided to have desert. Her came an hour later after hearing from our waiter that we were upset, he still came with raw kebabs. Utterly disappointed in the service from Aiden. I hope the hotel will do better as I’d love to return again sometime in the future.

On arrival all seemed well we were greated by the very friendly staff and checkin was expedited as we arrived slightly early. Once we had settled into tte room a number of issues began to surface. (Day 1) Plug in the bath needed to be fixed / had dinner on the balcony in the dark as the outside lights were not working. We utilized the SPA on (Day 2), and the experience was excellent; the staff was friendly, and the treatments were revitalizing. However the showers in the SPA area do not work, two lights in the SPA pool were hanging out of their fixtures the sauna flooring is loose and generally the feeling I get is tthat the place need some TLC. In the evening we decided to utilise the buffett which was a braai (barbeque) themed dinner, Whilst the food was great do not chosse this option if you have small children as the R225 per head is not worth it when your kids eat like sparrows (it was a very expensive lamb chop and piece of corn.) On our return to the room, we settled in for the night. This is where the fun began we were besieged by a swarm of mosquitos (see attached photos) I contacted the front desk at 9pm, house keeping only arrived at 9:27 after a subsequent call to the front desk and only at 9:33pm after I requested to speak to a manager did he arrive. The outside balcony is off limits as there was literally 1000s of mosquitos swarming around. Whilst the issue in the room with the little critters was resolved tto he hotels best ability and the staff were very helpful, for a 5 star establishment like Arabella at the price you pay I would expect better.

A scenic resort, great for a get-away from the noisy day-to-day working life. Sparkling clean, comfortable furnished and wonderful staff. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented.

Escape the mundane and visit this exceptional place. This establishment has spectacular views and is set on a picturesque golf course. You will be forgiven for thinking this is abroad but the property show cases the best South Africa has to offer.

I am very critical on restaurants because my own steak is world class, but this restaurant was absolutely amazing. Best steak I ever had in a restaurant. We had the fillet and Ribeye and it was just perfect. The lounge and fireplace is great to start the evening with a drink and the barman will take your drinks down to the restaurant area when you ready to go. Great service and amazing food.

Besides being a classic golf hotel in a closed estate, the Arabella is also an excellent location for meetings. Our company has now met there several times to exchange ideas. The services are simply outstanding. Good meeting facilities, attentive staff, constant checking that everything is ok. The food, the drinks - nothing is missing. Very good

Arabella Hotel is one of a kind! The best! The hospitality & friendly staff makes this establishment worth a visit! The swimming pool & spa especially the hydro indoor heated pool is a must to be enjoyed! I have visited this place numerous times & always want to book my next visit! Ooh the most important thing the food is just incredible quality! The rooms are also spacious if you just wants to relax!

The staff at the Arabella provided us with 5 star service from the welcome as we stepped out of the car, to the Assistant GM, Hannes, warmly welcoming us, to the dining and spa staff. Everyone made our stay special. The hotel is in need of a little TLC/upgrade but the rooms were spotless, the white bedding, crisp and sparkly white, the towels and gowns, fluffy and soft. We were treated to a delicious bottle of Moet as the hotel celebrated Champagne Day. Overall, it still remains our favourite mini breakaway spot.

The most beautiful and amazing place. Views were out of this world. Hot pools were extremely relaxing. Was there for Old Mutual Apex summit but will be back with my family

We came through to the hotel to have a cup of coffee and some cake. Although a bit pricy we love the quiet setting in the hotel and the view overlooking the golfcourse ans the bay is really pretty. They have quite a variety of cakes going between R45 - R75 per slice and the coffee is really good. The hotel is quite spectacular inside and normally has some art on display. The staff are incredibly friendly.

Great service. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This old lady has great views and decent rooms. Nothing in the bar fridge though. Take your own snacks and cold drinks. Great plunger coffee but very little milk. Take extra milk. Remember that the garden service starts at 5 so no sleeping in if you are a light sleeper. This is a golf course after all I suppose. Will go again.

The restaurant was exceptional, service and food included. Would have loved to see more local wines on the list though. The estate and grounds were something to marvel at! Prestine, yet abundant. Was a little underwhelmed by the spa, renovations were taking place during my visit and not all the amenities were available. The spa rooms also had no mirrors and was very blandly decorated. My masseuse made up for it though, treatment was invigorating.

This is a wonderful spot to take the kids swimming, putt-putt and a whole lot of activities. The room was well layed out and renovated up to standard. Fantastic view! We will definitely be back in summer to enjoy the pool and spend some me-time at the spa!

The venue and everything in and around it was absolutely world class. It was such a magical experience and it felt like I was on a holiday somehere at an exotic destination. The friendly staff make you feel like royalty and the food was just super. Waking up with a lovely view also does so much for your emotional satisfaction....

Congratulations are in order, staff and management at Arabella Hotel, Golf and Spa. Well done!!! You are the epitome of hospitality. We were gifted a weekend towards our 40yr wedding anniversary later in December. From signing in at Security, checking in at Reception, the porter, room service, hotel -, restaurant -, spa -, bar - and golf estate? The Southern Sun benchmark visible right through. Each of the above entities understood the assignment and stepped up to deliver unmatched quality. Hospitality, pride, ownership, accountability, client centricity proudly displayed. The positive energy could be felt from the moment you check in at Reception. Arabella management should be commended. Work and job satisfaction, staff happiness, friendliness and courtesy exceeded. The Southern Sun brand is the difference. A fabulous time was had. My first and definitely not my last visit to a Southern Sun resort. Well done Southern Sun. May you go from strength to strength.

This place is an absolute gem! One of few places in the world that truly value ever person that walks into their establishment. The service that we receive was fantastic, the food was incredible and the facility was amazing. There is literally nothing bad that I can say about this place and if I could give them 10 stars then I would! The Spa experience was really something to remember and the hydropool is the best. We truly enjoy the entire stay. This place is worth ever single cent!

Everything was amazing! Only complaint is that of the food in the restaurant and room service. Given how top class the rest of the hotel was, the food was slightly disappointing. Both in quality and size. Think a few things could be improved! Would also be nice to see a TV or two in the general Lobby for those wanting to hang out or have a drink or two and watch the sport - especially for non-golfers who don't make use of downstairs!

Arabella is great. Their hospitality is warm and lovely. It's like a home away from home. I would have given them 5 stars. My review is actually about the Spa. Did an express manicure with a gel overlay and three days later, the polish started chipping. Their prices for such are above average, so one would naturally expect quality service. Other than my chipped nails, I had a wonderful stay.
