Fantastic guest house on the see front with 180 degrees see view. Rooms situated so every room has a great view. Service and food is outstanding and the lodge is well contained with friendly staff, as every body in Hermanus..

What a gem of a guest house in Hermanus! The ocean is just a few meters away, the mountains make a beautiful backdrop. The rooms are tastefully decorated & an amazing breakfast is included. And our hostess Angelique is lovely.

We had a week here over New Year and it was wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent and the views and location are amazing. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful, especially during a small medical emergency. Will definitely stay here again.

I simply cannot faulty anything, this was a Wonderful stay, great beds, very clean rooms and 2 very friendly hosts, the breakfast as well worth it and the smell off freshly baked goods hanging in the air makes this place and its view extra special as appose to the big hotels, the biggest bonus is having pathways to walk along the sea right across the road. Thank you, we will be back

Enjoyed our stay at this perfectly located guesthouse. Comfortable rooms excellent breakfasts. Nothing was too much effort. Small touches like providing a teapot and tea strainer for my loose leaf tea to accommodating us for an extra night at short notice. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I have just checked in at Sandbaai country house this afternoon. We are extremely disappointed at the service of this establishment. Upon arrival we rang a bell and a gentle man came out. We told him we have a reservation and gave him our names. He disappeared into an office and never came out. While we stood at the door confused at the situation, a lady that has just knocked off and was in a hurry on her way home greeted us and and wished us a wonderful stay and off she went. A young lady gave us a key and showed us the room. That was the beginning and end of our interaction with anyone at this place. No one bothered to welcome us or showed us around to explain facilities etc. We will not recommend this place. This is going to be the longest 7 nights away. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone We are well traveled and this establishment is by far the worst experience we Ave ever had both in SA and other countries we have visited.

Lovely location, we booked a sea room view and had great views of the swell and waves crashing onto the rocks. Breakfast was good, bread and jams were delicious and we suspect home baked and cooked options all very good too. Take care when driving to Hermanus proper that Google maps/directions don't take you through the township mid way between Sandbaai and Hermanus. One star not given as although we could open windows for "Aircon" no fans provided and from memory no generator used so in load shedding times no power at all. WiFi was good.
