What a lovely stay at sea star lodge. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it has all the amenities you need in the room-lovely huge bath, heated towel rails, aircon, nespresso machine etc. The views are amazing and listening to the ocean every evening was so peaceful. Kate and Blessed are lovely hosts, and the staff prepared lovely breakfasts - a cold and hot breakfast with variety of items specifically on the cold buffet style. They also have a sauna which we didn't use and a lovely pool to cool down in or sit at and relax with a good book while still having an ocean view.(not a heated pool). You have access to the beach within a 3 minute walk, this area of the beach is quite Rocky though for a private sandy beach you can take a drive to the nature reserve about 5-8 minutes away - the cost is R60 per person to enter.

We had a 2 night stay and I must say the service was world class. The managers Blessed and Kate deserve medals. This place has that homely feeling and the staff is amazing. The breakfast is out of this world. We checked in late and Kate made fantastic chops for dinner. I highly recommend it

We had such a wonderful stay, the rooftop room was spectacular and the wale watching was such a treat. Kate and her team are so friendly and helpful and go the extra mile for you. Breakfast time you are woken up with a delicious aroma and greeted with a delectable feast in the kitchen. Sea star lodge will always be near my heart as it is where I got engaged and spent a blissful weekend. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had the most amazing stay at the guest house. Beautiful room with all the amenities you could need. Blessed and Kate were honestly the most amazing hosts. They went OUT of their way to make us feel most comfortable and at home. Everything was so well taken care of , the breakfast was amazing and just an all round perfect little getaway. Highly recommended 🙂

We had such a wonderful week-end at Sea Star Lodge. From the lovely greeting and assistance from Kathy and her team to the exquisite view of Walker Bay from every window in the lodge. De Kelders has a charm that is difficult to beat. We hiked along the cliffs into the reserve and the weather was perfect. Loved our stay at Sea Star Lodge! Book their unbelievable winter special and treat yourself!

Everything was just PERFECT!!!! Although we booked late, Blessed and Kate still accommodated us. Blessed waited for us and welcomed us like royalty!!!! His friendly and humble demeanor left us speechless!!! Because of the fantastic staff and beautiful place, we will definitely go back. Well done Blessed, you are AMAZING and are doing a FANTASTIC JOB!!!! Keep it up 💯👌👍

Nice and friendly service. Luckily we got a upgrade and we had a amazing view from the roof top terrace. The service was friendly and helpful. In my mind the house is a little bit confusing with the different rooms and types of the room. We enjoyed our stay but it was not our favorite. You have to make your own decisions! :-)

This was exceptional. The manger , Blessed, makes the venue a 5 star. He was attentative and being our 1st time to Gaansbaai assited whenever required. Everything was perfect

Spotless. Fantastic room. Incredible views. Absolutely clean. Very nice people. And on top of all -view of whales from the room balcony. Worth every rand and more

The property is a stunner with the beach laid out for the perfect view for sunset and sunrise. We stayed in the master suit, the bathroom was fantastic with everything you could ask for. Our room had a comfortable king size bed and a huge tv which was totally unexpected. We were made to feel at home with Kate & Blessed’s warm hospitality. Let’s not forget the breakfast and the tons of amenities to keep you filled and busy for the day. Sea Star makes for a truly memorable vacation.

Sea Star Boutique Hotel will impress you from the moment you arrive! Kate is so lovely & friendly and will make you feel at home immediately. Breakfast is also a big delightful highlight. And the view is to die for. Splendid!

The accommodation was simply fantastic in every respect! From the great sea view from the room as well as at breakfast, to the incredibly friendly hosts, who went to great lengths to make our stay unforgettable. The rooms were very clean and perfectly equipped. The breakfast was great too - fresh hot food was prepared to order. We also used the sauna which was really great on a cold evening. Kate and Blessed were also always keen to give us tips for excursions and make sure we didn't want for anything. We would totally recommend a stay at Sea Star Lodge to anyone and we would also like to come back! :-)

Thanks to Kate, Blessed and there team for making our Honeymoon so special. From the moment we arrived the warm welcome we received just make us feel right at home. Stayed for a single night but will return for sure. Kate and Blessed's hospitality is 5 stars and the location is fantastic for whale watching. The view from the dining room looks right out into the bay. We watched whales during afternoon tea and during breakfast. highly recommended.
