What a wonderful suprise to find this Food lover's in Sandbaai (Hermanus). Its huge and offers everything. I bought sushi, but the rice was definately not sushi rice, management please see to this. The security was super attentive and friendly. I loved shopping there.

Enjoyed the relaxed feeling that this restaurant offered. Unobstructed views of the sea, fresh air, sunshine and good background music. Onto the food and service: The drinks took long to arrive ( mineral water), and so did the food ( I observed that the restaurant was only 20% full, so I don't know why the service would be notably slow?!). Moving on... The food also took a while to arrive ( I know its a holiday/ tourist town, but they need to think of those that are not on holiday and just passing through on business....and perhaps they are thirsty and hungry). The one dish we ordered was Pork Ribs...this was done to perfection...so full marks for this dish, and I totally recommend it. However, the Rump steak was tough, and tasteless. I wasn't offered any type of sauce as an option to eat with it either. In short, my meal was very disappointing. I will note that the portion size was more than the menu indicated...but it won't count towards any points as the steak itself was just unpleasant to say the least, and the waiter seemed preoccupied ( not sure what the problem was as the restaurant was quiet).

Great selection, but the fresh goods don't last more than a day or two before it starts going bad. Weekly shopping becomes a problem

I usually go to the Checkers in Whale Coast Mall, but it was so busy I decided to go to Food Lover's Market instead. Unfortunately, FLM just did not seem to provide the same quality experience, nor value for money. For example, and most importantly, some of the fresh fruit was rotten. The prepacked tomatoes were terrible, with at least every second pack having a crushed, rotten tomato. My hand reeked after going through the packs to find one with clean, dry tomatoes. Similar experience with mangoes. This morning I cut open what I had thought was an OK mango (bought yesterday) for breakfast and it was rotten inside. Additionally, identical products at Checkers, such as Bonita butter, tend to be higher priced at FLM. The store layout at FLM doesn't create a good flow, it seems haphazard and customers were often getting into traffic jams with their trolleys. Sorry about all the negativity in this review, but I did want to highlight the basic shortcomings that I believe no grocery store should have. I used to shop at FLM Somerset Mall and always had a great time there, so it's not a characteristic of the franchise, and may have been simply a bad day for the Whale Coast Mall branch.

Always a wide and varied selection of foodstuffs, today there were some cheeses on special so we stocked up.

Just amazing with the fresh food they have and oh wow have you been to the sushi bar, just amazing

Quick, not crazy busy and easy to find what we wanted in New layout of store. Only downside is that trolleys are dirty.

Love visiting, but the staff has seriously got the be a bit more friendly to the consumers. We are all working and we're are all under pressure... The last thing we need it to face more unhappy people in their workplace. Other than this, we love them.

Great shop that stocks anything from fresh produce, fish, meat, nuts, sweets, and many more. The aisles are wide enough and make moving with the trolly easy. The checkout is fast, and the wait for a till was very short.

Constant good special deals on fresh produce side. Always fresh coz no overripe stock. Groceries and take aways also good. Long queues quickly attended to. Very little waiting time at check outs.

Large & airey. Love the "animal" sounds at the different stalls.... cow "moo-ing" at the milk stand, ships fog horn at the fish stand etc. Wonderful selection of just about everything. I prefer to stay clear of the pre-packaged meat and ask for fresh cuts

By far, this is one of the best Food Lover's branches in the Western Cape. More than a food store, this feels like a food mall as they have a number of stalls for fast food situated throughout the store, as well a (very) wide variety of tasty baked goods to suit. It's popular, make no mistake. But that doesn't mean you will stand in a forever queue to pay for your purchases. Even if the queue is long, it moves quickly and you'll be done quickly. Staff members are helpful and friendly even though they work very hard. It's on the lower level, close to parking.

This is the best food lovers I know. The quality, the value, the variety, the staff friendliness and the management are awesome. Our favourite shop to visit and we can get everything we need there. The fresh section is always well stocked and good and the deli and bakery and butcher are tops, as well as the sushi. Makes me hungry just talking about them.

As a resident of Hermanus we are thrilled to have a 5 star Food Lovers here. We are especially impressed with the butchery. However.... I was shocked to see that the lovely gourmet burgers went up in price within 4 days from R129 to R149/kg. Could this be a mistake or is this increase because of the Xmas season?

It's probably the best food lovers market in the Western Cape. Located in the Mall, at the back. We always stop there for food and snacks on the way into Hermanus because the variety is so much better than in the town. Produce is always fresh and the staff are very friendly. This store manager knows what they are doing. Keep up the good work!

A typical Food Lover's with every type of fruit/vegetable available. A good butchery with very helpful butchers who will cut meat as requested- size thickness etc. Serves prepared foods. Has a small sushi bar.

Large variety of very nice food, not the cheapest place but their products are good quality and always fresh and the place is always clean.

Lovely selection of fresh fruits and vegetables on display here. There is also a little sushi kaizen restaurant inside which I have not tried, but it looks good

A very very reasonably priced Food & fresh Veg outlet in the local communial area. Frequent bargains & specials drawing the Locals from our area. Highly recommended. Top Draw supply Outlet.

I'm a little disappointed in the quality of the fruit. I'll rather go to checkers upstairs, or spar, or checkers in town. But they're not bad. They do have a broader variety of sweet stuff like dough-nuts and cakes and other treats.

I have always just had a great experience at this shop. Great merchandise, always fresh. Friendly staff. Ample parking. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Really love this shop.

What a great experience and store. This is the best food lovers I’ve been to in my life. The customer service is amazing. I would go back instead of Woolworths any day.

The variety of "Stalls" where you can pick and choose your food ranges from Candy aisles to a Mexican food truck. The quality of food is superb and a super clean store.

Fruit n veg are definitely more expensive than most FLM. guess it's transport to Hermanus.. Go off pretty quickly too.. 😢 Decent meat counter and ok fish counter... Really annoying seagulls and Moo sounds.. Must drive the staff insane

No shop assistants. Easy shopping with trolleys and a spacious store. Shelves always loaded with fresh products. The sound at the fresh fish counter is very annoying as well as the cow mooing at the dairy division.

Always some veggies in a package that needs to be thrown out. Prepackaged sossage and mince gets "off" very fast The Blockman exselent, if you buy spesific cuts you get the best meat in town Nice bread!

So clean, duper well organized, with just picked out of the tree fruit. My favourite branch, with excellent attention, variety of food and fresher choices. Highly recommended
