As the name suggests, Bamboo Beach is a casual restaurant with a menu full of tasty comfort food. I recommend their beef burger and also fish (hake) & chips ... the deep fried option is crispy delicious without being oily. The Turkish delight Creme Brulé is amazing. The wine menu is rather limited, so I would recommend to byo.

An old favourite spot, with new owners, who have really made it cosy and inviting. Was great to see nice and busy, and friendly and attentitive service with not a long wait for our food. Good menu selection, value for money pricing, and good choice of wines. Possibly only negative (but all depends on personal choice) is that the pizza base a bit thin. I had the snails starter and really yummy!! 👍 Will be back 😁

Since they opened we ate here frequently! Food is absolutely amazing and figured why not have our wedding reception at this stunning little restaurant! Service was absolutely amazing and the staff always welcomes everyone with kind smiles and words! Was absolutely honored to spend my special day with these amazing people!🍻

My daughter wanted to go to Bamboo with her friends for her 14th birthday. I phoned a day before, and they were so accommodating, offering to push tables together and everything. We can just show up! And wow, how amazing was this experience! The super friendly waiter ( unfortunately I did not get her name) welcomed us and also brought my daughter flowers for the table. I didn't stay, only came later to settle the bill. Once I got home, my daugher told me that the owner was so kind as to offer her a desert, beautifully decorated with "Happy Birthday" on her special day!!! How amazing is that? This totally made her day! This is why our little town is so amazing, and why restaurants like Bamboo Beach truly are hidden gems!! Visit them, become a regular even if you are not from here!! It is soo worth it!!

Great place but be ready to wait extra long for anything you order to eat.. busy or not. Like crazy long and on every visit so far. Dog friendly. Great for drinks.

Lovely ambiance, extensive menu with variey of starters, tapas, pizzas, and main meals, lovingly prepared. Definitely will become my Nr 1 restaurant in Hermanus! Oh yes, drinks menu to suit all tastes favorites 😍

Very bad 👎 service is the worst we ordered 2 pizzas and a steak, steak came to table after wating about 15 minutes and complaining steak was removed from table pizzas only arrived 45 minutes after that was not very busy... under previous management we had much better service. Pizzas was VERY distasteful bases were raw and tough wont go back and really do not suggest

Tonight we witnessed the manager deal with a loud, abrasive group of females in the most professional and kind manner. TRULY an exceptional leadership team who go above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere FOR ALL!

Waited almost 2 hours for 2 plates of prawns. Previosly frozen, dry and watery. Worst I've ever had, I would be ashamed charging people R165 a serving for that.

It was very disappointing... I had prawns and it wasn't clean at all.!!! I tasted a small piece and it was tasteless. They served the pepper sauce on my plate. My husband ordered steak egg and chips.. The chips and onion rings was oily and dark and not crispy at all. They forgot to serve it with the egg after a while I had asked for it. We stay close to the restaurant and support them.. Very disappointing!!

Lovely spacious place, with self catering facilities, allmost on the beach. The pizza place on the same premises sells yummy pizzas 😉 Excellent value for money!

I think we were there on a night one chef hadn't turned up. So probably not a good reflection. The meak took a long time. My friend had yellow tail which was apparently delicious. We had mussels which wasn't great. Dissappointing.

If you can bend your pizza slice backwards then you know it is not crispy and its undercooked.. The hake was ok. nothing more.. The competition in the area is just too strong for this restaurant to be recommended.

very nice place accessible for everyone even on wheels. pet friendly as well. service was very friendly and top of the class. food tasty and well done. atmosphere quiet and fantastic to relax. closeness to the beach makes this place even more attractive. I would advise anyone visiting the area to go for breakfast or dinner there.

Beautiful. We were met by a very friendly host. Flatlet very neat and clean. Host left coffee, tea, sugar and even milk. Absolutely appreciated that.

Great accommodation it was very clean and only a few minutes from Hermanus town. Stayed a weekend and it was nice and cosy with all appliances you need plus super friendly staff
