A really great store, well stocked, with friendly staff. The variety and quality of the food outstanding. It's great to have a budget option and premium option within all grocery categories. The premium quality fruit and cheese are truly excellent. They have the best camembert I've ever bought from a chain supermarket, squishy, ripe and flavorful (brand: forage and feast). Also, their sourdough baguettes are lovely, especially after popping them into the oven to crisp up the crust before serving. I could go on. It's great. 'Nuff said.

Living in a nearby town, I don't shop that frequently at this Checkers branch. I did, however, shop there yesterday (Friday 10 June) There was quite a few specials, which is obviously great, but the butchery was disappointing. Firstly there was no lamb (or sheep) knuckle, and hardly any stewing lamb (sheep) on the shelves, which I really wanted. Secondly, the staff at the butchery was disorganised and it took a while to get service. I bought some chicken and beef sosaties from the fresh tray (one lady eventually helped me, then disappeared, someone else eventually gave me the wrapped sosaties). Big surprise when tonight (one day later), I opened the chicken sosaties to braai, and was met with the stench of rotten chicken. And it's not even worth taking it back, given current fuel prices.

Beautiful store. Found what I was looking for. Dissapointed at checkout. I asked for R1000 cash and was told by 3 different cashiers that they did not have cash. This was between 3pm & 4pm. No willingness to help. I even asked where I could find an FNB ATM and the cashier look down and just said "I dont know". Very disinterested. By the way, an acceptable greeting would be "good afternoon" not, " do wants bags? " or "Xtra savings card" ! Manners go a long way

I love shopping at checkers where I always find what I'm looking for and most of the time it's on a special price .Friendly service as well .

Sixty60 staff running into you like zombies. Doesnt have walnuts in stock. 3 staff members told me they are out of dates. Asked manager out of frustration... He takes me to baking isle. Sjoe 15 items took 40 min.

Clean, well organized, even quiet. Nice place to visit. Friendly personnel, however, are not well trained (needed to call the manager for a product question). Anyhow, it's still a great choice. Great cheese and cold meat selection. It has a great rotisserie.

Great and clean experience. Our own bad luck was and not checkers fault the chicken pack we bought the Saturday had a bad smell when we open it the Sunday to braai. Everything had to be thrown away. But besides that we had a great long weekend and checkers will see us again for our shopping

So it's not the cheapest, let's get that out the way, but it certainly is a flagship shopping experience. Super clean, well stocked, well staffed and the staff know why they are there. Free underground parking and never crowded.

I had noticed that the store has always been clean, deli food is what I love always, so big ups to staff, they're doing very well.

Was not in there long but I was very impressed with this upmarket branch of Checkers. The choices in the food department of ready made meals was amazing, A very neat and clean place to shop!

This was the best Checkers ever - We literally thought we are in a Woolworths. The lighting, the decor, the layout of the food, cheese and wine. Everything was as fresh as you can imagine. Till we hit the tills... Then we were reminded it was a Checkers.

Very nice facility. Everything you need in one place and more. Especially liked the wines section. Just a shame Checkers didn't have our Favourite Hermanuspietersfontein available in store, would have loved a Kleinboet with our steaks!

Rock solid YES! from my side! This checkers puts half of the CT shops to shame! Clean, well stocked, well lit, accessible and attended by mostly friendly staff. Charnie behind the hot food counter however, is extremely rude and unhelpful. It is a real shame because everyone else was such a joy to behold and interact with. She really drags down the whole brand. But safe Charnie, the shop is really a pleasure to visit.

It's a great checkers, I wish the "queue of death" was about 5 meters shorter. Locking you into the sin isle, nee sies man. It has a Starbucks and a Kuaui right inside and has everything you need. Location is very convenient, staff are friendly and the place is clean and doesn't smell! Parking lot and has undercover parking and some great shops.

A great place to shop, with a well-stocked and clean store. However, the only issue I have encountered is that the lines can get quite long at times, resulting in a bit of a wait. Consider using the 60/60 service instead of waiting in line

We filled up our water canisters it took a while, maybe the pressure/filter system needs some tlc? Overall clean with a sushi bar and coffee bar.

Very nice and clean with easy parking. Two older gentleman actually got in to a verbal altercation that almost turned into something more, but the staff handled it perfectly and nobody got hurt.

Staff aren't friendly or helpful, but the selection is good. Watch out for till fraud - we discovered that the teller drew cash as well for herself. I approached head office about this when I saw it on my bank statement, but no one ever came back to me. They won't be seeing us again.

Awesome newly upgraded Checkers with a Kauai and Star Bucks on site! Fresh produce, great selection of cured meat in the meat deli, nice butchery, bakery, fresh fish and the cooked food and salad bar section are huge! I can highly recommend this Checkers in Hermanus.

Always clean. Able to grab what I need and head out. Also love that the Kauai is housed in store for a healthy smoothie while shopping.

Checkers moved the shelves around a bit but the flow is much better even if it takes a bit of extra time to find the groceries now. Still great options and a great shopping experience.

Neat and tidy store. I have been to this store numerous times over the festive season and not once did we not get anything we wanted. Parking outside were a bit of a mission but one can understand that the entire Gauteng came to visit.

Busy as usual over the festive season, well merchandised and well stocked. The only issue is the single snake like line that one has to now stand in for till service.
