I forgot to take a photo of my breakfast because it looked so good and I was ravenous. I can honestly say that the creamy mushroom poached egg was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The coffee is great. The service is great. I love that they bake the bread there where you can see it too. I’ve never had a bad meal at an ou meul and this is one of their best stores.

Hey, we had a great time here! It was such a good decision to stop at Ou Meul Stanford. The staff was so friendly & helpful: We ordered 2 sourdough loaves at the counter & it was even delivered to our table, with our eats & drinks. Their bread is freshly made on-site. Ou Meul has a nice variety of fresh goodies, condiments & preserves as well. Bonus - they have a Bootleggers Coffee on site too.

The best Pies in ever! Always pop in when we drive pass. Bonus is they have bootlegger coffee which is honestly the best coffee ever!

We were on our way from our Hermanus hotel to Phillipskopp Reserve early in the morning, so early that we hadn’t found coffee on our side of Hermanus, so it was such a great thing to find Ou Meul in Stanford! They had just opened, and the smell of bread baking and pastries fresh out of the over was heavenly. We ordered the breakfast bagel — delicious! - and a tasty scone. The staff was very friendly, too. The only hiccup was that our order got misplaced so after half an hour and no food, we asked how our breakfast was coming along and they hadn’t gotten the order to the kitchen. It was quick then, though, and worth the wait. The coffee was terrific too.

Excellent food! I had the Pesto,mozzarella cheese and chicken sandwiches. It was Delicious and Fresh.I will definitely eat there again, when we are in the area.

No waiter came up to us to take our orders, we went to the till and got pies (which were delicious). Still no one came to take any orders. Eventually we went to the till to order coffee and were denied it because 'they were too busy'....? And apparently they would remain to busy for us to order coffee for the rest of the day. Poor service, poor communication. Very disappointed about the lack of coffee.

Top quality, fresh food with an amazing atmosphere! Friendly, well trained staff ads to the experience. Well done to the owners and management for focusing on quality and client experience.

The staff was amazing they really tried their best but they where completely overwhelmed, they could really do with extra staff. We will be back.

Ou Meul for lunch. It was great! I had the chicken bacon Sriracha sandwich. Two large lightly toasted sourdough slices with lots of chicken fillet pieces, 4 large rashers of bacon, 5 generous slices of perfectly ripe avo, feta, tomato, plenty rocket and of course Sriracha mayo. Absolutely delicious and filling. Two of the others had the chicken pesto sandwich with lovely pesto mayo, and one had a bunless burger with chips that the rest of us stole and agreed they were very good.

Foodies, you need to taste these!! French toast made with a croissant with bacon, and a hazelnut Latte with Honey! Wow, an experience to remember. The bakery’s Mutton pie was fresh, perfectly spiced with ample sauce. Try the Breakfast wraps - although it’ll last you till dinner. Peculiar food artists in this small town of Stanford. I recommend you make this part of your journey of discovering new sensations of food.

Wife and I have eaten here lots of times. I am very impressed with the grilled chicken breast and skaw burger and my wife equally so with the chicken schnitzel. The real cut potatoe chips are also very good not to mention the coffee. Promise a photo bext time.

Great spot for breakfast and lunch. Amazing pies and pastries and coffee. Amazing fresh breads.

It's a quaint little coffee shop. Looks better than it is. Queue for coffee fills most of the shop and display cabinets behind the queue. Left unimpressed which I did not expect.

Service was a bit slow. Very understaffed in the kitchen. Little bit of a sassy chef as well - we were told since we ordered the platter "we will wait", since she was busy. Not a good attitude. Wine is well priced but very stingy on the serving size! Platter was super tasty but took a while to arrive! Wine was really really good though! But needs a bit of a revamp on the aesthetics and staff!!

We love Ou Meul. This was our first visit to this specific branch, but will definitely visit again. Good food, the best coffee, and nice atmosphere.

Very dissapointed in the preparation of the food, served cold. Also bought a milktart...took home, no taste. Manager tried to rectify but no consistency in this chain. Bought rooster koek from the Shell Branch next to te road towards the N2, absolutely 💯. Biltong however, was old. Pinelands brand no issues.

Beautiful setup. I had the best pecanut tartlet in my life here....and I had a few before ;-) From the crust (wich I normally dislike) till the last bite, was so tasteful. It was perfection. Service were good, toilets were clean.

3 cheese muffin is a miss, by a mile! Heavy, stodgy, like undercooked cake. Coffee OK. They stock the local Antjie lotions and handwashes which are very pleasant to use. Service pleasant but the location across from the OK and petrol station could have been better. They have tried to make the venue pleasing but hard to miss the garage. Maybe suggest they initiate a mural or clean up on the garage side of the road..

Yummy delicious food! Duper friendly and helpful staff! Their apple tarts and salted caramel tarts are to die for! Total bliss on the lips, but not the hips.....

Love their breakfasts and lunch menus. Tried fish cakes and chicken schnitzel now recently and enjoyed both! Friendly staff and pricing is reasonable
