A lovely trail for walking πŸ₯Ύ 🚢 🐳 along the shore with excellent opportunities to watch the Southern Right whales in the winter season. Starting from Gearings Point to the New Harbor. Lingering for a while at the different viewing points and with a little luck and patience you will get stunning and awesome views of the gentle giants. I think one of the best places of landbased whale watching. In addition a short unworked/unedited video clip. Moreover some small maps to give an overview. Again in October 2021 together with my son.

A really nice outing in nature. Very well maintained footpath and fresh sea air all the way. Beautiful view of Hermanus all the way with the sea on one side and the mountain on the other side

What an enjoyable walk through what some may describe as the heart of Hermanus. This is where you will find the most tourist traffic and it's busy - even when the rest of the town begins to bed down for the night. Some people walk, others go down to the water, some stay and admire all the wonderful art along the walk, and other stare out to the ocean - there's something for everyone. While you're there, check out the solar system to scale along the walk and keep an eye out for whales or seals in the water. There's even a play park for the young ones

Absolutely stunning, great for the spirit and soul, keep an eye out for the super cute "dassies" along the walk, also known as rock rabbits. πŸͺ¨ πŸ‡

Stunning views. Saw dassies and a tortoise. The way a sea view should be seen

Fabulous trail... all paved or boardwalk. Plrnty of benches. Easy walking and very accessible. Patrolled by security/safety staff along full length. Fantastic scenery. Spotted more than 70 Southern Right whales (mums and calves) in the 3 days we were here... so close to shore, just amazing.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Scenic spot to have a picnic at or take a swim in the tidal pool. Great family friendly spot and very beautiful 😍 We went there on Christmas morning, so it wasn't that busy and quite enjoyable.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We came only for the hiking, but the trails are in great shape and the views are great. We loved being able to see the rock art, especially! We appreciate that it is possible for people to come take the trails even if they aren’t staying in the accommodations there. The fee was quite reasonable.
