Bosman Hermanus is situated in the heart of the Hemel en Aarde Vallei. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenarios in the Cape region, Bosman farm has a very large piece of land dedicated to Fynbos development making it very unique from other wineries in the area. Their wine is really good and they offer a wide selection from white to red to bubbly. On your drive to their tasting room, make sure to stop and take some pictures of their Protea farm right next door.

Lovely lunch. Beautiful views. Weather was good…staff helped with a table outside under the tree close to the where the children could play. Quality of food was good.

We did a very nice wine tasting here. The wine was very nice and the stories with it were interesting too. The view is great with a view of the vineyards and it is stylishly decorated inside. The staff is enthusiastic and nice. We had ordered small snacks that match the flavors of the wine. We hadn't imagined this too much, but the snacks were super tasty and looked great!! For us this was the perfect trip with less nice weather. Inside you can sit warm.

A lovely setting in a remote part of the valley, the views are stunning with a very nature feel... Some nice wines to taste as well as cheese platters to sample... Kids play area & some nature trails... There is a bit of a long dirt road though so not suitable for cars...

The location is great, with beautiful views and lots of proteas in the fynbos. The service and food were poor. When we arrived, we asked to have the umbrella put up because it was quite sunny. The umbrellas at all the other tables were up already. The staff member said okay and then left. About 15 minutes later I was working on getting it up by myself and a guy from the next table over helped me. The food was bad and overpriced. We ordered 3 different meals. The flatbread was soggy and bland. The squid was overcooked and rubbery. The risotto balls were bland with the risotto overcooked into paste. The portions were small, but we didn't want more of it anyway. For what would be an appetiser priced at around R60-R80 at a good restaurant we paid R125 for each dish. Really disappointing. We had ordered 3 dishes, thinking our son could share with us. He did not like the risotto balls. He loves squid, but it was so rubbery he just chewed it for awhile and finally gave up and spit it out. My wife had a glass of wine and said it was good and it was brought out promptly. Our son ran around happily in the grass on the trails between the proteas. This is why I am giving 3 stars instead of lower. Bosman might be good for having a glass of wine, but I do not recommend it for food.

Completely ignored by staff. We turned around and drove to Creation! What a disappointment...

Lovely places to sample wines, one of the most scenic we have visited in Hemel and Aarde Valley (Creation Wines was another one). You can order small dishes too, however, not as part of a tasting experience. Therefore, we just ordered some glasses of wine to go with our food. There is a small playing ground for the children, with a climbing construction and some swings.

Bosman is a exquisitely located wine farm. Situated in the mountain ranges of the Hemel and Aarde valley, its views are simply magnificent. We went here for my fience's birthday and the attention to detail was perfect. The staff are kind and attentive. The booking process was seamless and the experience unforgettable. I wouls definitely recommend this place for people of all ages. There is a playground for the kids, walk ways throught the fynbos for a pocknick and super comfortable seating for when you are just in the mood to takebin the views and wine. Dont miss out on this place!

What a gem! Beautiful view, beautiful decor, tasty food and good wine! One of our best wine tasting experiences so far. Nigel assisted us - very professional and friendly, his wine knowledge is good and his service was outstanding! So nice to see good upcoming talent! He has a lot of potential, look after him!!!

Just an all round awesome experience. The scenery, the service, the ambience, the food and of course the Bosman wine was just wonderful. It was rainy and misty outside but being there for lunch with our friends made it all sunny and bright! Thank to Weston for making us feel so very comfortable.

Lovely experience, the views and the location are spectacular, the wines are lovely and the food was just amazing, some of the best pork belly I've ever tasted. And Khali's friendliness, knowledge and assistance was stellar. A great way to spend a few hours, highly recommended!

Located in a rather isolated valley- it makes for beautiful scenery in a well designed tasting area. The wines on offer are mostly sourced off site, and then bottled on the estate. The wines themselves were special, especially their white wine range. Well worth the trip.

The Bosman Winery falls under the Hemel-and-Aarde valley wine route. On the road between Hermanus and Caledon there is a turn-off onto Karwyderskraal Road. Although this road is a gravel road, it is only a short distance (2 minutes drive) till you reach the farm and the road is in a good condition. The tasting room is at the end of a beautiful walkway and resembles a (very luxurious) log cabin with a great view of the valley. The Bosman wines range includes wines from different regions including Wellington, and all these wines are available for purchase at the farm. We did a tasting of a pre-selected set of 5 of their wines and the lady that did the tasting (Lindy) was very friendly and informative. You can also purchase a bottle to enjoy there along with one of their flatbreads while taking in the beautiful view. Their wines and flatbreads are on the pricier side though, for those that are budget conscious. There is also a kids play area close by - within view of the tasting area so parents can also bring their kids along.

On Tuesday 3 November, we spent the happiest afternoon at the Frame House Bosman Hermanus, under the warmest hospitality of Nigel and Watson. Nigel was an absolute pleasure from the moment we arrived. He welcomed us and took us through the tasting…he was both friendly and informative, and made us feel right at home. We were a group with varied taste preferences and Nigel was able to provide excellent recommendations for wines to suit each palette, both on and off the tasting menu. The wine being delicious, the friendly service only served to seal the deal of the cases upon cases we ended up ordering (no regrets!). The limited COVID menu offered flatbreads – those were an entire revelation! Delicious and balanced, we had multiple servings on the day and still dream of them now!still dream of them now! We literally had to peel ourselves off the beautiful lawn at closing time to release our gracious hosts Nigel, Watson and the rest of the staff. We would have stayed forever if we could. In this post-pandemic world, warm service highlights the joy of humanity and the simple pleasure of live interaction means even more. And from the bottom of our hearts would like to thank Nigel and team who received us at Bosman that day. I’ve been raving about it to everyone who will listen. What’s the highest number of stars we can give? We’d like to double that! The Frame House at Bosman will forever be a leisurely stop whenever we find ourselves in Hemel-en-Aarde....which is next year, so see you soon Thank you, Nompumelelo, El-Shebah, Lwazi and Refilwe

Beautiful setting and awesome platter (which must be booked before you arrived). Unfortunately the signage to the venue is not the best.

A good friend of mine usually says that space is the ultimate luxury. And this is exactly that. What an incredible wine and picnic experience.

Have just come out of the Hemel En Aarde Valley after a trip to Bosman which was fairly disappointing. My mother and I arrived at Bosman at 3:30pm after seeing the hours on Google that closing was at 4pm. As per the sign at the door, we waited to be seen to. After about 3 minutes of waiting a gentlemen came to the till and we asked if we could do a tasting. He explained that they finish tastings at 3:30 but he would talk to his manager and see if he could make a plan. The manager then came and said he is sure they could make a plan. A young woman behind us came to clear a table and said that it was 3:35pm in a rather short way. At this we decided there was no point in staying and left. I would like to suggest, as I have checked your website, that if your tastings close half an hour before your actual close, that this is mentioned. This did not leave us with a good taste and it was my first visit to Bosman and my mother has been before and enjoys the wine. I hope that some amendments are made so this does not happen to other people.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We came only for the hiking, but the trails are in great shape and the views are great. We loved being able to see the rock art, especially! We appreciate that it is possible for people to come take the trails even if they aren’t staying in the accommodations there. The fee was quite reasonable.
