Excellent location and great service! The food is average and the portion sizes are small as it is tapas. It is on the pricier side for just tapas and you have to order multiple if you are quite hungry. We managed to have a taste of most of what was to offer on the menu in the seafood and vegetarian ranges with a bit of space for dessert. The table setup for a big crowd with multiples dishes wasn’t ideal as the tables are quite low and the seating was mainly sofas (this could be due to the place being packed because it was Christmas lunch and I am unsure if this is usually the seating for meals or only drinks) The overall experience was good and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the location by the tidal pool. There is a slope for assisted wheelchair and pram access to the restaurant.

The weekends get quite busy, 40min wait to be exact. The view was below my expectation after looking at previous reviews... Jokes on me! Good variety of food but were unfortunately all bland and disappointing...

What a nice little gem nestled in a hidden cove in Hermanus. This quaint restaurant is surrounded by natural sea cliffs, has a natural tidal pool and awesome views out to sea. We spotted 2 whales close by playing in the surf (September) Highly recommended if passing through.

The view from this restaurant is beautiful. Lovely lil spot. Friendly staff. The menu offers small portions of food but delicious, especially the pizza, so don't go there hungry. It is more a place of hanging out, relaxing for a drink or two, and a snack. Unfortunately, the pool is accessible to the public even if they are not eating at the restaurant...that was a little bit distasteful for me. It's worth a visit, though.

What a setting! The views of the sea are spectacular. Had one of their 'pizza' type dishes and a beetroot salad. Both were brilliant, fresh and tasty, the other dishes sound and look equally awesome. The service is very good too and so is the atmosphere, but with these views who can complain! Definitely worth a visit.

We visited on a week day and was wonderful to see how full it was with a steady stream of people coming and going. The hostess was so friendly and efficient and she and the manager happily rearranged seating for parties of more than 4 guests to ensure they made the most of the setting. The wait for our food was quite long but our waitress kept us updated. The food didn’t disappoint either!

Views might be nice but the food is hilariously over priced for such a small amount. Service was lacking and slow and overall quality just not great. Manager came by so frequently that it made you feel pressured. Really upset about the amount of food for that crazy price! Views of the ocean was beautiful and kids swimming in the little quarry below was sweet. The restaurant is more a place for tourists. Won't recommend for local families or groups of friends.

Amazing venue. Great atmosphere! However, waited 1 hour and a half for a table, and then another hour for the food. I feel there is too much seating for the kitchen to accommodate.

The manager made a point of stopping at our table to welcome us. This was appreciated as it rarely happens at most establishments. Waiters was friendly and efficient and our food and drinks was delivered without a long wait. Ambiance is just great!

Great new place to eat, relax and enjoy fabulous sea views. The staff are friendly, the service excellent and the food is delicious! Pinchos are basically generously sized tapas - four plates were plenty for the two of us - and there's a huge selection of cocktails as well as local wines and beer to choose from. Perfect setting for a swim too!

Spectacular view of the tidal pool. We went there for some day drinking after our rental car broke down. We had some nice plates and cocktails. The very attentive staff and a warming autumn sun elevated our positive experience. Thanks again.

the location, the view, the vibe - amazing. but i have to say: the mac and cheese are tasting better than the sea food or meat. sea food is not fresh - neither the meat. it is a wonderful place - but i would just go for a drink or two. there is a lot of park space and there is also a wheelchair friendly walk down to the restaurant/bar from the top where the parking space is.

We stopped for some drinks. The view is spectacular and the tables are close to the rocks and Fixk's Pool. The Irish Coffee inhad was the best in a long time.

One if the most gorgeous settings to have a fabulous lunch or dinner. Newly opened restaurant over looking Ficks Rock Pool. Protected by the wind in this magnificent setting. Come for cocktails to watch the sunset or settle in for a long lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed. You cannot book so get there early to get a spot. Enjoy x

Fick's Pool Restaurant is a must visit. The views are unmatched and it is such an awesome setting. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome and went out of their way to make my birthday visit special. Nollen our waiter was pleasant, and catered to our requests. Food portions are small as it is tapas style, but it was just enough for us. Drinks were delicious and birthday dessert was comped. I'll definitely be visiting again!

Very nice Mediteranean-like setting with a great vibe! Seating and service times are a little longer than the average - but it does not matter, being a great, laid-back experience. Take note - this is an outdoor venue.

It was a busy day. The wait was 35 minutes just as was said to me. It is a stunning venue overlooking a tidal pool, with the restaurant build around it. I was a bit worried as so often when a beautiful setting the food and service are often poor. But not here! Friendly and sift service and excellent food. We had calamari, lamb, deep fried cauliflower and duck. Please order the duck, it is delicious. Also don’t forget to have a cocktail and enjoy the view and the people around you enjoying . I am coming tomorrow again!

It’s ok. The location is beautifully built in the cliffs of the Hermanus bay, but you’re left wanting much more. More atmosphere, a better food offering and elevated cocktails. If refined, this could be a go to spot in Hermanus with loads of potential. Considering this, the expensive pricing does not reflect today’s mediocre experience (I loathe ’tappas’). In essence, very expensive for what is offered, leaning 80% on the location. A tourist trap. Lastly, the tip/ gratuity suggestion (highlighted in red) seems odd and desperate. My suggestion is to skip Ficks, as much nicer eateries are available.

What a lovely venue in Hermanus for a light lunch, drinks. A tidal pool in the middle with the restaurant on the rocks around it, amphitheater style. So beautiful. We enjoyed mocktails with chicken wings for my partner and calamari for myself and shared a picked beetroot and apple salad.

The atmosphere was very relaxing with an exotic view that you only find in the Cape. Waiters are very professional and offer good service. The manager have checked in to see if clients are happy. I enjoyed the cocktails with pleasant side dishes. Well Done. Your parking is a little uncomfortable, with parking guards. From the moment I arrived at this restaurant, I was struck by the stunning views and warm hospitality. Wonderful and highly attractive venue. It's an open venue and patrons, kids and locals can enjoy a swim in the small tidal pool, waist high water. Tapas meals are delightful. Well spaced seating in the open, staff are friendly. Recommend the Fillet. Will frequent every time we're in Hermanus.

Totally loved this place. Ficks has a great vibe. It is tucked into the rocks and wraps around Ficks Pool. I was hiking in the cliff path with my wonderful guide Gillian and she showed me this hidden gem. Stopped to have a drink and a pizza 💞🤗😍yummy with a great view 👍🥰

Lovely new restaurant in Hermanus. Very nice .

Superb welcome by Nozi and the actual owner too. Stunning view, awesome staff! Only suggestion is to keep an eye on the toilets and to ensure they are cleaned as both men and women both visiting teeh restaurant and making use of the public swim area make use of the toilet so can get a bit unpleasant.

Fantastic lunch with amazing views. The seared tuna special was delicious as well as the beef and calamari. It's possible to swim in the water as well, really refreshing! Highly recommend
