Wonderful dinner here yesterday, the staff was super friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The food was a bit small but packed with flavor and I will return. Order at least 3-5 dishes per 2 people and you will be good to go. All locally sourced and super tasty! 6 stars!

One of the best meals I had in Berlin. I love the concept of creating extraordinary dishes to share using local ingredients. The staff was very friendly and professional and took time to explain each dish. A Restaurant I will recommend to anyone

Otto was greaaaaaat - had we made it off the waitlist we would have happily gone two days in a row. Don’t miss the beet dish on offer right now, we spooned every last drop of that sauce and it now lives in my mind rent-free. Tiny place we weren’t too comfortable at the counter it was so high off the ground our feet got numb 😅 Buttttt glad we got the chance to dine here. Team was aces, from the chefs to the front of house. Otto has something really special going.

Was visiting Berlin for a week for some culinary experiences. Took me some days to research and make a list of places I wanted to eat in. Otto was one of those places that were recommended in most of my research. Expectations were high. That’s definitely the first mistake you shouldn’t make when you approach a restaurant for the first time. Anyway fact of the matter: -We were 2 people we got two 5 course menu for 60 euro each. We get 5 dishes yes of course but 5 dishes to divide in 2. Quantity to divide was ridiculous. -we expect at least to eat some nicest dishes that was wrote on the menu a la carte (of course not) we only had the steam trout served as you can see on the picture with very poorly presentation with a mizuna leaves on top .. Not Venison or wild boar n’dujia only vegetarian dishes. -Service was not the greatest, wine was poured on our glasses and on our table too. No one came to clean the table. -Big up only for one of the dishes the Jerusalem artichoke, unfortunately was only a baby bite each. -Overall, one of the overrated hipster place that are opening right now in Berlin. IBetter to avoid and go around the corner to get the best hand pulled noodles I ever had in my life at Weng Chang 2. Of course this is my opinion ;) Price we pay for 2 120 menu - 35 bottle of wine - 18 two extra glasses of wine = 173 We got back home and cook a pasta. I’m sorry 8(otto) but my vote for you is 2.

Food was very spicey and overpriced. It’s a nice place to sit down for a wine but it’s way too overrated. When we came over there were also a lot of dishes sold out. I don’t understand why everyone is so hyped about this hipster place.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately we couldn't eat because we couldn't get a table from the waiting list. But honestly, we wouldn't book a table anymore. The restaurant cannot be reached by phone. Table reservations can only be made online, we did that a week in advance. You get a text message and an email, so quite good. On the day of the reservation I wrote back via sms to ask if a table would be free. The answer comes from OTTO Versand that the sms is probably misdirected. Since we had a hotel right next door, Hotel Oderberger, I went over to draw attention to these alleged oversights. So that the other customer nods. The reaction was arrogant and condescending. Really bad. Unfortunately. Well ... arrogance comes before the fall. Richtig schlecht. Leider. Na gut....Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall.

For the inventiveness of the food, otto deserves a Michelin star. You go there and share some or all of the small things on the menu one more amazingly tasteful and innovative than the other. I never before had wild boar "roastbeef", a discovery with hazelnuts. The most amazing was the buckwheat fermented with koji that gave a chocolate flavour ice cream, just outstanding.

Nice little restaurant with 3-4 tables inside and a bigger outside area. The food was really good and also interesting flavours. It was mostly fish based dishes and I saw one veal on the menu. I only had one glass of wine because I had to drive but I tried the homemade kambucha and it’s insane. i’m addicted and bought a take away bottle too. Friendly staff, excellent music choice in the background, nice lighting. Card payment possible, not wheelchair friendly.

I couldn’t snag a reservation for one for dinner in my short time in Berlin, so I went for a lunch walk-in instead and ate myself silly because everything was delicious. For such a rustic menu, the cooking was very refined (the dessert was absolutely beautiful and I almost didn’t want to eat it).

Good food and perfect for a casual dinner night out. Very minimalist and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staffs. Their menu and choice of ingredients are something you can’t find in most restaurants. I suggest to book in advance but seems like they also accommodate walk ins if you’re willing to wait. Best of the night for me was the Grilled and deboned trout in fermented fish sauce ❤️

I am very confused by the good reviews of this place. We took the chef menu and it was really disappointing. Everything was extremely sour. It might be to the taste of some people but I really did not enjoy the experience. The price is also expensive for the quantity of food and quality that you get. Tables are so close to each other that you cannot have privacy in your discussions.

Sehr lockerer Service. Det is Berlin!

Sat outside on a (now seemingly long forgotten) warm summer evening, with the sun setting beside us. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, took the time to explain certain ingredients and make great suggestions. The dishes were delightful, both delicious and aesthetically lovely. Quality of ingredients really noticeable 😮‍💨

(Translated by Google) Great restaurant. The kitchen has a view of the guests and coordinates the food. The menu is a la carte, but you can also put it together as a menu. The combinations with fresh ingredients and also the pickled vegetables, excellent! The service is attentive and always on site with questions. Good wine advice, even with glass of wine which would suit the next dish. Price slightly higher but still value for money very good !!

(Translated by Google) Today we were in a small group for dinner at Otto. The location is very interesting and minimalist. The service was very friendly and helpful, and was always available to answer any questions. Now let's get to dinner. Everyone who eats here knows that regional products are used here, so I won't go into this any further. As a starter we had warm bread with butter and pickles, very tasty. After that we ate the flaxseed crackers. I was disappointed here, as the flaxseed tasted burnt. That was a shame because it drowned out the rest of the ingredients from the taste. The fermented potato rösties with smoked fish continued, and they were perfect. Finally we have the beetroot and the herb mushroom. Both very interesting, although the taste of the Seitling could have used a little more spice. All in all, a very great store with some room for improvement. Still to be recommended.

We were really excited to try this place out, but sadly it was a miss for us. I’d still recommend to go for a glass of wine, but wouldn’t recommend as a dinner spot. The presentation was beautiful, but the taste was average. Lovely street for outdoor seating :)

Nice little restaurant that try to use only local products. We had the sample menu, 60€ per person. They helped us with pairing wine and both the food and the wine really hit home. We sat at the counter as I really like peeking into the kitchen. Would definitely go again without any hesitation.

We had such a lovely experience at otto. The restaurant is quite small, but that adds to the overall atmosphere. The staff was very welcoming and professional. We had the chef’s set menu and were pleasantly surprised. They succeeded well in combining flavours and the steamed trout was a real showstopper. I would definitely like to return to have some of that trout again!

Sitting here right now and I am extremely excited by this place. Amazing selection of unusual and mainly Central European natural wines - but the good kind of natural rather than the pointlessly funky. Very deft touch on the cooking, simple three element dishes but creative combinations and excellently executed. Lovely people working there. Most interesting place I've eaten in Berlin, reminds me of somewhere like Wildair in NYC

Had a lovely dinner at Otto, sat at the chef’s counter which I also recommend. We did the sharing menu for two, food was excellent. Interesting preparations, executed very well, pacing was relaxed (there are 2 seatings, we sat down at 8:30), wine pairings really good. Highlights were the roasted deer, eel & potato cake, roasted mushrooms, and the bread & butter (fermented butter like a cheese). Chef, cooks, and staff super friendly. Will be back! Thank you.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Otto. It is quite centrally located. Check-in was quick and easy, the lady at the reception very friendly. We had a triple room, which was very big. The rooms could do with some decorating to make it a bit more cosy. The beds were comfy and a nice touch was the bar of the chocolate, coffee and nice teas in the room. All guests could help themselves to water bottles on each floor. I found there to be a lot of noise from other guests and the cleaning staff.

(Translated by Google) Sat at the bar and had a great view of the kitchen. As a starter we chose an oyster mushroom with fermented egg yolk sauce and a flaxseed cracker, which, among other things, was topped with black garlic, cheese, kale and "meadow". the oyster mushroom clearly won. The other dish lacked the crunchiness of the base and the topping was essentially fresh and sour, but not much more. The main course was dried beetroot with brown butter, wood sorrel and sheep yoghurt. It was very successful and varied. The boar neck with fermented kohlrabi slices afterwards was very tender and mild in taste; However, we were missing something sweet to compensate. The plum cake for dessert was top in consistency, but we felt it lacked a milky component as a counterpart. Maybe even the raw milk ice cream that was on the menu would have fit. Overall, a fine dinner in a pleasant, bustling atmosphere. the price-performance ratio seems rather bad, however, since the portions are sometimes quite minimal. Overall, the dishes are a bit too acidic and could use one or the other supplement.

(Translated by Google) Was chased away from the allocated space so that more people could fit at the table. The food is very tasty, but free of side dishes and under no circumstances filling. If you invest 50 euros in starters and main courses and go home hungry, that's unsatisfactory. The wine selection is ok, but no advice is given. Here, too, I expect at least basic knowledge of the drops served, given the rather high price level. After two orders were simply forgotten, I was finally done with. Too bad I was hoping for a new gastronomic highlight - but unfortunately the disappointment prevails. I wish otto better for the future without me as a regular.

The food lives up to the hype. Everything they prepare is delicious, however weird it may sound at first. The dishes are not expensive at first glance, but the quantities are very small. You should count 3 dishes per person, at least, if you are moderately hungry. You will get all dishes explained in German or English. The service is friendly and mostly without flaw.

(Translated by Google) Refined cuisine - experienced service! You sit very close together in the small Otto restaurant. The menu offers guests dishes that are otherwise rarely of this quality. However, you should definitely order the bread, otherwise you will not be satisfied. Because the dishes come without (like the wild boar) or only with one (the char) side dishes. The weak point of the restaurant is the wine list. There is only one cheap wine (if you can call 35 EUR cheap). After that, prices quickly rise to the loftiest heights. So for a bottle of wine that you get in the grill or Borchardt for 35 or 40 EUR, you have to invest 50 and more EUR here. Unfortunately, wine-loving guests quickly get frustrated. Here the wine list should urgently be supplemented by a few affordable drops (for example, there is no cheap rosé at all - an absurdity in Berlin, in love with rosé!). But the quality of the cuisine, which certainly deserves at least one star, now that even the Rutz has been awarded 3 Michelin stars, ensures that you leave the Otto satisfied, for the second shift, which starts at 8.30 p.m. visited to make room.

I am so incredibly excited about this place, the risk is to fill up the review with too many hyperbolic expressions. Instead, I'm just going to drop a few off the top of my head: Delicious, no frills, sophisticated in its essentialism, hyper-local, sustainable, honest-to-God, transparent, ethical, farm-to-table (and then back to the farm again), nose-to-tail and with a super congenial service that is all too rare in the otherwise insufferable Berlin(er schnauze) gastro scene.Look no further: along with other wonderful players like Barra, Nobelhart & Schmutzig, etc...this is the future of gastronomy, right here and right now. Period.

Tiny spot, limited tables, laid back Aussie staff (mostly), nice vibe and food quite interesting, attracts a young at heart crowd, no reservations so grab a drink and sit on a bench while you wait.

It was soooo tasty! Great service, several tables, you should check there working hours before going there. Unusual ingredients and not expected their combinations make this place worth visiting again.

(Translated by Google) AD: “Experimental, unconventional, regional: Vadim Otto Ursu's new restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg joins the chain of innovative and alternative concepts in Berlin. In the gray brutalist ambience designed by BARArchitekten Berlin, which is reminiscent of a modern relic of the occupation, Vadim Otto Ursus' team of friends, professionals and career changers pays particular attention to the use of purely natural ingredients and everyone else when preparing the dishes to use small animal or vegetable components. The room surrounded by concrete walls with an open kitchen only holds 19 seats with woodwork by Mathias Swarowsky, which gives the cool look more intimacy. These dishes are worked on in the in-house test and research kitchen "B34", which is located in a disused GDR bunker in northeastern Brandenburg. These include pickles with Brandenburg raw milk butter, wild boar tartare with fermented tomatoes, whole grilled char with char garlic and Wild herbs and raw milk ice cream with pickled elderberries and plum seed oil come from a culinary knowledge that Ursus acquired over the years in star restaurants in France, Portugal, Scandinavia and Mexico. The concept is to "sensitize and inspire people for our environment, nature, the seasons, good, sustainable food and social interaction."

👍 The queue can get really long in a very short amount of time. We were lucky and waited for about 5 minutes before placing our order.
