Excellent
in
every
way.
I
was
catching
up
with
a
very
old
friend
who
I'd
not
seen
for
a
few
years
-
we
booked
two
rooms
and
had
dinner
the
night
we
arrived.
The
service,
from
the
moment
we
dropped
our
bags
was
warm
and
friendly
and
the
atmosphere
created
by
front
of
house
(which
also
serves
the
bistro/deli
area)
instantly
relaxed
us.
The
rooms
were
lovely,
the
beds
super
comfortable,
the
shower
really
powerful
and
the
toiletries
-
well,
let's
just
say
I'm
a
convert
to
their
soaps
-
they're
amazing!
We
had
dinner
in
the
bistro
later
and
the
food/wine
(and
cocktails)
were
exceptional
(not
unexpected,
the
Pig
Hotel
is
famous
for
their
excellent
farm
to
table
ethos)
-
I
had
belly
pork
and
my
friend
a
mushroom
dish
that
I
was
almost
tempted
to
order
as
an
extra
(my
desire
for
a
pud
stopped
me).
The
cheese
platter
I
managed
to
inhale
and
I
would
have
stayed
for
more
wine
but
their
food
portions
are
so
generous
I
staggered
upstairs
to
my
super
comfy
bed
to
dream
of
Tudor
gardens
(we'd
visited
the
famous
Tudor
House
situated
just
behind
the
hotel
-
defo
worth
a
visit).
I
was
sad
to
leave
the
next
day
(we
had
a
sterling
cooked
breakfast
-
it
set
us
up
for
the
rest
of
the
day)
-
it
was
that
good
and
can
totally
see
why
The
Pig
Hotels
merit
their
5*
reputations.
Thank
you
for
a
thoroughly
enjoyable
stay.
