Hi, I'm shopping there for about year time now and I'm really happy about customer service. That couple that works in the shop is always there to help you if you need any help or advice. The most important part of this is fack that fishes are always healthy. If you need any fish or anything for your fish tank regarding even to the advice I do highly recommend this place.

Very RUDE old lady behind the counter was shouting at me & my husband for pointing at the fish! And was saying all the fish in the tank was hers so we couldn't buy any. I thought you go to a shop to buy things people are selling not these two people the old rude lady and the man they wasn't selling anything as soon as we walked in. Talked to us like we was stupid saying we could kill their fish by pointing from a far! Not spending our money in there EVER! Customer Service is an absolute DISGRACE! The old bag was HORRIBLE!

Top bloke. Honest, not out to rip you off and very knowledgeable. Very dry humour which i find hilarious. Won't go anywhere else. Bit annoying he keeps following me around Sainsbury's though 😉

went was monday... very good place to go and even look at the massive range they have...left with 2 baby Angels loved the place will be going back without a doubt tomoz.. The owner allowed me take a cpl of photo's as i asked could i add them to reviews on google. The range of fish and experience is brilliant and genuine. Had a good chat and over the past few weeks finaly got my tank where i like it without a huge price tag. Prices are great and anybody who likes fish should go to even take a look... 5* all the way.....

Lovely people running the shop , been in today for bronze corydoras catfish and ancistrus. Highly recommend, very knowledgeable and also won't let you buy fish if you don't know what you're doing or haven't set up your tank correctly, water balance isn't correct etc so hats off to them for taking care when it comes to the welfare of the fish. P.S.(Do not go to pets at home for fish, staff are poorly trained)

Fish Cove is a great place to get started in the hobby and get good honest advice from. Run by a highly experienced and life long fish keeper who puts the welfare of his livestock first, which is as it should be. Real Gem of an aquarium store and increasingly harder to find in this day and age i.e. a fish store run by someone who actually knows what they are talking about. Can't recommend this place highly enough, top place run by a top aquarist.

Great store with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable owner to help you out when choosing products. Products priced extremely well for what you get especially paired with the great service, would recommend.

Stumbled upon Fishcove whilst searching for a small Eheim pump to replace a noisy Fluval pump (known issue) for my Fluval Flex 57L tank. A friendly welcome from Paul who suggested an alternative, an Italian pump, Sicce Syncra Nano, which he was using in some of his own tanks and was keen to show me. At just £15.99, half the price of the Eheim, it was certainly worth a try. Absolutely brilliant – half the size of the fluval and very, very quiet, almost silent. Paul is very knowledgeable about fish keeping and I will certainly be visiting again to purchase dry goods and fish.

Very helpful service, always has time to help with any aquarium issues you may incounter. Good healthy fish with also reasonable prices compared to other shops. And can also have a laugh with the fella.

I went to this shop a long time ago. I had a good chat with the owners who were very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about what they do. I remember them having a lot of interesting "oddball" species not so common in larger shops. (silver eel loach/ silver khuli loach). Sadly I never went back as work commitments ment I no longer had time to keep fish. Now circumstances have changed and I have an itch that needs scratching! ILL BE BACK😎

Really friendly owner that knows a lot about fish and cares about their wellbeing. We've just brought our first tank for tropical fish and the owner was very helpful and ensured we spend small at first to help test the water over a week, rather than being sold every fish possible that could fit the tank. It was also nice to see the natural habitat preserved within the tanks too. If driving, the shop is around the other side of the building from where Google map takes you. We parked our car outside the garage and walked around the corner.

Always a pleasure to deal with and genuinely cares about the fish he sells. Been using them for over a decade and wouldn't go anywhere else.

When lockdown came into affect I lost 3 clown loaches and they are schooling fish, l was ringing around to try and get some more and I found that aquarium shops were not selling there stock and I came across The Fish Cove. The own said he had two left that were for sale so I shot right down there to collect them. What a guy class 1 customer service and to top it of great sense of humour. He is a lovely man to talk to he takes time to speak to you and he gives the best advice about fish, he won't sell you no bad or ill fish he tells you straight when you ask for fish. He will ask you what fish you have already and advise you on what fish are ideal to get. I love going to this shop to see Paul and the fish he gets in are 100% top quality 🐟 and the colours stand out from any other fish I have and bought from other aquariums shops. I would 100% recommend this shop to any one

I first visited here about 3 weeks ago, knowing nothing about fish, & having just purchased a second hand fish tank. The owner (Paul)was very helpful, told me to bring some water to test before going any further. He sold me some water treatment and told me that's all I needed. (He could of told me anything and ripped me off for loads at this point!) I returned with my water in a contact lens case (much to Paul's amusement), and was told we could add some starter fish, and yesterday we've just added a couple more, after another (free) water test to ensure it was safe to add more fish. It's nice to go in somewhere that not only cares about the fish they are selling, but also have a bit of banter and a joke. Reading some of these bad reviews, I think some people have no sense of humour. Will definitely be returning here, thanks!

Went today for first time, had no idea what i wanted or needed, was given a lot of advice and what to do (new to tropical fish). Very pleasant. Will defiantly be going back.

It's possibly the best shop ive been to around Warrington-St.Helens-Wigan. The costumer service is absolutely great, the owner is really knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He even gave me some extras for free the first time when ive been here as we talked about my tank and plans. The shop has a great variety of fish, snails, shrimps and beautiful healthy plants too. The only place around where I found nice looking shrimp, cherry, blue and more types. (other places around here usually have wood shrimp on stock only). The prices are also great, (defo cheaper than buying unhealthy stock and medicine after to treat the whole tank, happened in other shops... ) And it's great to see that the animals are kept in a healthy, close-to-natural habitat and handled with care and respect. My shrimps and snails I bought here are happy and looking great, definitely will be back and would recommend this place.

Visited the shop today with my wife and children and even tho the phone was ringing and other customers around and delivery's we still was made to feel like we were in the right place. Amazing healthy fish, purchased 4 temperate fish today and left with more helpful information without being pressured into buying things we don't need, if your looking to buy some really high quality fish or plants, or even just advice or help on your current aquatic problems I won't hesitate to get in touch again, many thanks and will visiting again very shortly, brilliant

Disappointing experience, such a shame the rude lady behind the counter felt need to shout at my daughter. The experience drove us away from the shop. Had some lovely looking fighters in but awful customer service, fish with poor health also as it seemed. May we suggest you take your time to clean out your dead fish rather then shouting at young girls to not touch the glass when they aren’t even close. Shop was also a pain to get to with our sat nav!

Firstly… the owners of this business completely sold it to me. My 4 year old son got a tiny 25 litre aquarium for Christmas and I had no idea what to do with it. I saw a review on here about the owners being rude to children and it’s completely wrong and out of order in comparison to my visit. My sons like a nuclear reactor and the owners were amazing with him and talked him through everything in a way he understood it. Actually teaching him about fish and how patience is key. My water was tested and the balance of the water was all over the place and not safe for fish. The owners sold me absolutely nothing, and that in itself was brilliant. Paul then gave me filter media from one of his filters and advised me on exactly what to do next and return later this week till we get it right. These people absolutely care about what happens to the fish they sell. No matter what the value of the fish is that you’re buying. 100% the kind of people I’d want to learn a hobby with and support their business. Other aquatic dealers just wanted me to take live animals home and weren’t bothered about the welfare side of it at all. There should be more people like you guys. You’re doing it right. Stay exactly as you are 👍.

Friendly and professional. No sharp sell. All the fish and plants looked very well cared for. Helped with expert advise. Will be going back very soon! - Update - after 3 weeks in, and after going back for some power blue powder blue dwarf gourami's I can the are doing very well (no issues at all) and the Vallis is now kicking in!. I will re-iterate - great knowledge and customer rapport. Give it some more weeks I will be back!

Excellent! We travel from Wigan to visit Fishcove whenever we need anything because even though we have some well known aquatic shops in Wigan, they just do not compare. Ok they may be larger shops, but the knowledge of Paul at Fishcove is just brilliant and he's also a very friendly and funny gent who will help with anything. The fish are always healthy and if what you want is not in store, they will happily order it for you. Cannot fault this shop at all, brilliant!!

I will go no where else for my tropical fish, since switching from pets at home. I've had no problems since going to fishcove, always good banter, and helpfull tips for a healthy fish tank.

Went to have a look on a equipment and fish as would like to set up new aquarium. Owner extremely knowledgable, got few good advices straight away. Top shop and a top guy. Went to this shop around 3 weeks ago now on the hunt for a place to get my first fish from after cycling my first tank. The bloke in the shop (owner i think) was amazing, he’s quick to break the ice with some banter and also very knowledgeable (something which i needed being a newbie and 19). He went as far to even looking at pictures of the tank and seeing how suitable it would be for the fish and recommended some floating plants. So after visiting 8 different fish stores this day to look for the fish i desired, this one certainly came out on top and was why 3 days later i picked up my first fish from here (a beautiful german ram) 3 weeks on and it’s thriving along with some raspboras! Certainly recommend this place and will be back soon when the tanks ready for some more fish in a few weeks.

I was surprised when the jolly shop owner suddenly had a go at me for smiling. "Why are you smiling? WHY? WHY? WHY?" This went on far beyond what is considered normal and long after I had stopped smiling. It's a pity because I liked this fish shop but now I don't want to go back. I don't smile often these days and I suppose I shouldn't if I don't want to get lured into a trap of chuckling politely only for some fat old man to pick on me for it. Bizarre.

Helpful & knowledgeable- always goes the extra mile to help. First started using Fishcove when he was at Winwick Quay & followed him around since 😀. Highly recommended, we started as customers & now Paul & Sandie are very good friends!

After coming back to fish keeping I Having been to a few other aquarium shops in the area, not all with the same knowledge or stock I might add, I have received nothing but honest advice and great information, Free water test and ongoing support to build my community tank. Would absolutely recommend.
