My mother has had shoulder and back surgery, so we were looking for a suitable swimming pool so she could start exercising properly. I had high hopes for this place after being recommend to it. I had looked online at the time table and nothing was apparently on between the times we wanted. We arrived it looked clean and tidy, which is always nice. We asked for a general swim at the receptionist, and where asked if we were staff. We replied no. "Well it's only staff swimming, it's in the time table". After being shoved a time table I looked at send it's not on here. It was in between the time of 2-4. From 12.30 to 4.30 on the time table there wasn't anything listed. I replied "There's nothing to say there's staff swimming, so what about in between these time" "Well it's been like that all summer, different things are going on, that's how it's always been, just look at the time table and if you're not staff you can't swim" We left, my mother slightly saddened she didn't go swimming. A receptionist is your first port of call for a business, and I was not impressed. Not only did she not explain why it didn't say it on the time table, we were treated like a burden just because we asked questions. My suggestion is to actually phone up ask if it's public swimming as the time table online is useless if it doesn't actually list what is going on. My suggestion to the Sherborne Sports centre is to manage it's receptionist better. Also why close the pool for a couple of hours just for staff swim, especially at peak time. The other facilities I cannot comment on but there looked like there was a fair few things to do. The other staff looked busy and happy. Overall though the experience with one receptionist is not making me go back there again.

I wanted to go for a fun swim today. But when we got there, apparently we had to book and there was only one space left. When me and my sister wanted to go. Now it was probably obvious but we weren’t told about any booking. So we had to leave embarrassed and quite disappointed.

I've been going here for about 20 years .... says it all really! Swim lessons great. Showers and other facilities not luxurious but it's very reasonable. Lots of activities available and the pool is Warm!

What a great gym, plenty of classes going on with staff to help you on your way. Central to town and set in a busy school but not to busy to get into.

Beautiful new swimming pool and fairly quiet family session swim on Sunday. Shame the changing rooms are down the hall at the moment. Feel like better signposting is needed for users that have not been before.

it sucks students have to book, when we live at this school. like dude what the hell, I dont have to book the toilets to take a dump, why book the gym when its part of the school. and the worst part of having to book is that there are limited spaces, why dont you make it where the public has to book and then the students can go in when they like, just like last term, it was better that way, and yea sure it can get busy but we can work inbetween each others sets. please Dr, Lucket give me the gains i desire.

It's wonderful to see the newly refurbished sports centre up and running. We are really enjoying our new membership. The staff are so hopeful and proud of their fabulous new facility, keep it up guys its really appreciated.

The well-being studio for Yoga and Pilates was worth waiting for. It is light and well ventilated and well equipped. The instructors continue to be outstanding and I always enjoy the friendly and helpful staff on reception.

Their recent refit is fantastic. I mainly use the pool but the gym/studios has all new equipment and have been upgraded to a very high standard.

The staff at the centre are fantastic and will go out of their way to help you, the gym is excellent and very well maintained. Would highly recommend!

I’ve joined recently after it’s reopened. The new facilities are great, and the staff have been lovely. I’m looking forward to trying the climbing wall at some point.

I have had a few sessions in the performance gym with a gym instructor and it was really beneficial and the new gym is so nice with all sorts of new machines
