Great place for authentic Italian food. I enjoyed the complex taste of the truffle fries and the fresh parmesan cheese over the carbonara pasta. I had visited this place many times and the wood-fired pizza had a consistent quality. The kid’s menu and the colouring set for keeping the kids happy and busy are extra points for this place especially for families. Overall, the place has a great customer service and food, although one time only the parmesan taste was not fresh and this was during the lack down. Keep up the good works guys. Recommended 👍🏻

The best pizza I’ve had in Cardiff! Starting off with drinks, everything is reasonably priced, and a good selection of everything non-alcoholic and alcoholic. The starters were really good, you get a large portion of calamari for the price! Perfectly cooked as well. The pizza crust was crispy on the outside and perfectly soft and springy on the inside, this is the only time I’ve willingly wanted to have more crust! The pizza as a whole was delicious and flavourful. The truffle pasta was creamy and delicious, you actually get truffle on top which I didn’t expect at all! Finally the tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had in my life, I would’ve had another one if I could 😂 All in all would come back again, thank you for the amazing experience!

It’s really hard to put into words the authenticity of the Italian dishes in this place. I have never felt so welcomed and well-fed. If you are looking for somewhere that reminds you of Italy, look no further, Ciliegino is the place to be! I cannot mention this place without praising the exceptional effort that its manager, Fabio, puts in ensuring you have time of your life, from its hearty conversations to his coordinating of staff to ensure you’re well looked after. Walked past here while out shopping on a few days break in Cardiff, and spoke to a gentleman ( possibly the manager) about opening hour's. He was very friendly which prompted us to go back for dinner . So glad we did as its possibly one of if not the nicest meals I have ever had and my daughter age 10 (who's a fussy eater )agreed . Lovely vegetarian options . Food was stunning . And the olives were definitely the best ive ever had . Again spoke with the gentleman while dining and he was lovely . Wish I'd found this place sooner as we would have gone every lunch and dinner time. I know where ill be dining on my next trip to Cardiff . Can't recommend it enough

Thank you to Fabio and the team at Cilieogino, they went out of the their way to make something especially that wasn't on the menu and even had some lemoncello on the house after. They were so friendly and the food was amazing. Thanks again!

Really good pasta and pizza..... pizza was lovely and soft.....and situated upstairs so a little quieter than the competition.....

Service and food are equally fantastic. I feel so lucky to have dinner in this restaurant. And it’s 50% off for all pastas and pizzas. £6.95 for dessert+hot drink. Can’t find anywhere offering excellent food at this price. Highly recommended.

We found this great experience with 10 minutes until the kitchen closed and they accommodated 7 of us for my birthday meal. Food was excellent, staff and service were outstanding, they went above and beyond for us. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, will definitely be returning!

The service was good up to when we finished main meal. We had to wait for desert menu . It seemed a lady was taking orders and one boy serving. But I've got to say we had a lovely meal before theatre.

Booked a table for here after seeing it was number 1 on TripAdvisor, so glad we did everything was exceptional! We actually accidentally passed it earlier in the day and we were both a bit dubious as it's not a traditional restaurant as we thought it's actually based in the food court of a shopping centre. We decided to still give it a go and definitely happy we did!

This restaurant is full of amazing atmosphere, a unique experience, full of great servers. We got served by the manager who was lovely and made our experience even better with his humour. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming with a smile on there faces. Now on to the food, I could tell the pizza was made from fresh, it was full of flavour and the perfect size. The salad was lovely and crunchy with the sauce dressing over the chicken added so much flavour. This is our second time coming here and it just gets better and better.

TRY THE FRIES WITH TRUFFLE OIL AND PARMASAN CHEESE!! This may be the best fries I've ever tasted they were deliciously moreish, and I was gutted I had to share them. The pizza I had was nice too, but the fries. Staff were friendly and helpful highly recommend just don't expect the setting to be in a quiant restaurant it's in an open shopping mall. Food was still delicious non the less.

Located on the first floor of st David shopping mall. Interior- modern. Seating to the walk way of the mall as well as the interior of the restaurant. It was a quick in and out for me as I had a train to catch. They did well as In and out in 20mins with a spaghetti carbonara truffle-Nice dish. Was offered a complimentary limoncello which is a lovely gesture. Will definitely come back for a longer meal.

First time in Cardiff and came because of great reviews on Trip Advisor. They didn’t disappoint! Food was lovely and service very good. Manager made us feel very welcome, 100% recommend.

We went along last night with a groupon and in all honesty, weren't expecting much from a small, shopping mall Italian cafe. The positive experience began with a phone call to the restaurant during the day. We were concerned that our groupon voucher had allowed us to book 30 mins before closing. We were assured that we would not be turfed out despite the 'doors closing' and could sit, relax and enjoy our meal; book an earlier slot or simply turn up earlier than planned. On arrival the FOH staff were very friendly and courteous and advised us well on the separate groupon menu as well as a separate offer they had on pizza & pasta. The food was absolutely fantastic, we paid an extra pound for mozzarella on the garlic bread and for a portion of mozzarella sticks, and by no means were disappointed! Each course was delicious, and the portions were such that we had to take a little pasta home - for which the restaurant provided not only a takeaway container buy a bag, napkins, disposable cutlery and a little tub or parmesan! We would certainly recommend a visit to this unassuming eatery and hope to go back soon. Thank you Ciliegino!

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the UK, probably worthy of a MICHELIN star. The service is extremely good (seated in less than 30 seconds, served at appropriate times) and the food is even better (authentic Italian food, the best I’ve had). Will be coming here again!

The service was second to none. The waiter gave first class service to my 6 year old son and made the experience very enjoyable for him. Always appreciate a waiter/waitress that gets the child involved. Made my son very happy, which in turn made me happy. In addition to this, the food was great. Will definitely be returning for another visit!

We was just pop over to Cardiff from Bristol first time with my friends . We find this restaurant in the shopping centre. Honestly not been sure what to expect. Everything was fantastic ❤️❤️❤️ Great service absolutely delicious pizza , pasta 🍕🥗🍲. Definitely coming back again .

Lovely well proportional sized setting for this unique Italian restaurant in Cardiff (St David's shopping centre Upper floor level). Polite, respectful and friendly staff team and the food portion sizes were very generous and the meals themselves were delicious and fresh tasting. Will visit again someday when I can, I recommend this place.

Excellent place. We had a Groupon voucher for any pizza/pasta, a side dish & soft drink...what a fab offer. Staff were very friendly & our server Steph, was very attentive & polite & knowledgeable. Great to see a family run establishment in a town centre, rather than the normal chain of food outlets. The pizza & pasta were very tasty & plentiful...Will definitely return
