Just stayed here with my partner and our two dogs. Absolutely fantastic stay, staff are all really lovely, friendly and made us so welcome. So impressed by it all, we loved it. To be able to have and evening meal with our dogs in the lounge was so great. They've really upped their game here, and all areas so clean. It was really chilled as well, absolutely nothing negative to say, apart from we had to check out! Definitely coming back, welldone all, you're really getting it right.

Fantastic night away. The staff were incredibly attentive, even when it was busy they made a real effort and were really friendly and polite. The room was spectacular and the food was a real highlight.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful location! With booking direct we were upgraded to a hot tub suite which was brilliant. Lovely, helpful staff. Great outdoor heated pool, and relaxing indoor spa area. Spa access is a bit odd (through a toilet), and the female spa area is in desperate need of renovation (but it sounds like that's in future plans). Had a pregnancy massage which was so relaxing. Lovely little touches, such as a goody bag for the journey home, which was much appreciated. When I realised I left a pair of shoes in the room they promptly sent them to me in the post, excellent service! Highly recommended for a couple of days away.

I first visited this hotel some fourteen years ago when I was invited by a friend for a birthday celebration. We loved the atmosphere and surroundings then but noticed it was a little 'tired' looking. However due to circumstances we were not able to return until May 2022 when we discovered it's under new ownership and been refurbished extensively. With very helpful, patient staff we had a wonderful time. Thank you all at Bishopstrow.

What can I say a home from home the staff are friendly the service is always great. There is a library also a lovely lounge to relax in. Take advantage of the spa, heated outdoor pool, hot tub and outside bar! Rooms are luxurious and clean. The grounds are huge and lovely to walk round.

We arrived late due to a car breakdown. Christine who was on reception was incredibly helpful and accommodating, allowing us to pre-order food in the car as we were going to arrive after the kitchen had closed. Our room was incredible (definitely recommend the Oval room!) as was the spa, location and food. Just amazing - thank you so much, would definitely come back!

Such a lovely stay - everything about the hotel and service was exceptional. Lauren, Ollie and everyone in the restaurant were so lovely and attentive. Would be nice to see a few more vegan options for next time, although the staff and chefs were very accommodating. The hotel and room were beautiful - we didn't want to leave!

What a fantastic spa hotel. It is incredible value for the money. Food was excellent, service was friendly and efficient and the facilities were very good. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub in the morning sun. We’ve visited a few spa hotels now and this is our favourite by far. Thank you Sophie and team.

Just returned from a celebratory weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The loft room we stayed in was excellent with a fantastic bathroom. Massage and facial at the spa was very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and very accommodating regards food allergies. Very much looking forward to a return visit!!

We had an excellent stay at this hotel, beginning with our arrival when we were upgraded to the best room with a hot tub. There was superb attention to detail, including a daily newsletter delivered to the room and homemade biscuits on the tea tray. Food was high quality and arrived promptly. We enjoyed the free use of tennis equipment on a quiet and scenic court. The facilities were wide-ranging, the staff were friendly, and the location beautiful. All in all, a wonderful stay.

It was a real pleasure to experience what can only be described as good old fashioned service. Every member of staff from management to young persons being trained? Were pleasant and extremely efficient. I am a very plain eater and my food was delivered everytime EXACTLY as requested. Food was of an excellent quality, with breakfast cooked to order NOT the dreaded buffet with eggs that bounce! Finally the heated pool was, according to my wife, very warm and inviting. Will definitely return

I received a voucher for a spa day with afternoon tea and a glass of champagne. My husband and I enjoyed our day; we had variable weather but were able to enjoy the outside pool and hot tub in the lovely surroundings. When the weather clouded over, we went to the indoor pool. We enjoyed a back, neck and shoulder massage as our treatment followed by the lunch. The staff were all professional and polite and the food was delicious. We could not manage all of the afternoon tea but the staff were happy to box up for us to take away. We really enjoyed our day and would happily return.

Enjoyed a fantastic, luxury afternoon tea here. Great selection of quality food and plenty of it, most people had to ask for a 'doggy box' as they couldn't manage it all! Large selection of tea and coffee and unlimited refills. The staff were very friendly and attentive, wonderful experience.

We had a lovely spa day, very relaxing with lots of areas to sit or recline, indoors and out. Pools and jacuzzis also inside and out. The lunch was delicious and generous as were teas and coffees and a very relaxing face massage. Staff were courteous and service reasonable as they were very busy in outdoor restaurant Wouldn't hesitate to book again

Massive thank you to Eden and the spa team for a beautiful and prefect evening, where they helped plan my proposal. They were so helpful and fantastic from start to finish. Also a massive thank you to Paul and the restaurant for putting on lovely food in the ‘dome’. Great spa with great facilities, would recommend!!!

Came for the Spa, it was fantastic for the price. The steam room and sauna were always quiet which was nice. Only downside was me and my partner wanted to go in the hot tub about 30 minutes before it finished and it was already closed off.

Wonderful stay at this house. The accommodation we booked (with a dog) was a lovely spacious room in the courtyard. The house was situated in beautiful grounds with lots of gardeners working their magic each day keeping it in bloom. The food was very nice. Very nice flavour and could not fault it at all. The service (now I acknowledge others reviews here) was great. But it still needs some work. The team that greeted us on arrival was great. The bar and restaurant was great (in terms of communication and professionalism) but it still has lack of speed. This wasn’t a problem for us and I truly think they are trying to get this spot on - just a bit of a delay for service when it’s needed. This naturally comes down to potential a lack of staff, BUT I would much prefer to wait than to have rubbish service, so I feel this challenge they have (just like the rest of the country right now for hospitality service). All in all a wonderful 2 night break, in a lovely part of the world. Thank you to all the team at Bishopstrow. Would I book and stay again? Absolutely I would!

Just spent a wonderful 2 days here. Customer service was excellent with welcoming and super friendly staff. Rooms were cosy and comfortable. We had a slight issue on our second night with some flies and wasps managing to enter our bathroom but the manager came to deal with the issue and sort it. The food for breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious. We also had a swim in the pool which was lovely and warm. Upon check out they gave us a lovely brown bag of water and apples. Another lovely feature is the historic look of the hotel, the cleanliness and they wished my husband a happy 40th on their hotel newsletter. We had a lovely stay. My daughter enjoyed her time there too and didn't want to leave.

We had a celebration package day booked for our hen party group of 13 people in February. Thank you so much as this was the perfect end to our weekend together! The facilities were great! We had the best February sunshine and loved the outdoor hot tubs! Most delicious champagne afternoon tea! For the faff of arranging a group booking for a hen, so many treatments and changing plans, staff over the weeks before this were so helpful and made changes immediately as we needed this. Treatments were divine and staff so friendly and helpful! Thank you so much and I’m sure many of us will certainly be back again. 🥂🥰

We had a wonderful family get together at the Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa, and I can highly recommended everything about the hotel and our stay there. The rooms were all excellent, with extremely comfortable beds and lovely views across the hotel grounds or to the distant hills. The bookshelves and selection of books in some of the rooms made you want to curl up on one of the window seats and spend time just enjoying a slower pace of life for a while. The evening meal food was delicious, and the breakfast equally tasty. The spa has a very nice indoor pool and jacuzzi, with lovely steam room and sauna. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely like to stay there again.

Warm and welcoming from start to finish. The staff are exceptional at Bishopstrow and go out of their way to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. The food is fabulous, cocktails delicious and the lounges, conservatory and outside space offer a multitude of places to enjoy them. The hotel is going through some changes so not all decor is 'perfect' but they are working tirelessly to get there. However all the things that matter are spot on; comfy bed, incredible service and great food. A personal note of thanks for the kindness and care shown to our rescue doggy Bilbo, throughout our stay. This is the most dog friendly hotel we've ever been too. We all look forward to returning very soon. Date of stay: April 2023

This was amazing. We had the best stay. The room was very luxurious and I liked the extra touches such as extra big towels and the Dyson hairdryer 🙂 we opted for the roomy room and it was great. The spa was also lovely. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor area which was a treat to be outside in April. The breakfast was delicious. Dinner was fabulous. Thanks very much we will be back 🙂

The staff here are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Rooms are great. The food and drinks are way overpriced, £11 a pint, for example. Spa is nice but could do with some better signage to where things are. Certain things could do with tweaking over. But mainly don't eat or drink anything unless you have a spare couple of hundred quid in your pocket.

I went to the spa on the 31st august and had the most amazing facial by Emily. She advised me on what she was doing and I have never felt more relaxed and my skin was glowing afterwards. The girls were all so friendly and couldn’t recommend them all highly enough! We’ve already booked our next spa day back here for another day and treatment 🥰

Such a lovely hotel! Amazing room and very friendly staff. Beautiful lounges. Spa facilities a bit dated but still lovely and enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was good though the portions are very large.

Spent the Christmas break here, and couldn't fault it from start to finish. The welcome with champagne and nibbles was wonderful and was a precursor to amazing food, fabulous hospitality and a lovely atmosphere. Little touches, like giving the dog a welcome box filled with treats and toys, and the Christmas stocking left at our door on Christmas morning, stocked with incredible goodies was amazing. A fantastic 3 days, and will definitely do it again.

We just had a one night stay whilst we were visiting Longleat. We wish we had stayed an extra night..... Absolutely couldn't fault it!! Staff lovely, Swimming and Spa facilities were fantastic! Room large, clean and smartly decorated. Evening meal was great! The only niggles we had was that breakfast was a bit dry and overcooked but that's easily rectified. Alcoholic drinks were extortionately expensive and service charge was automatically added to the bill. However, this said, we will definitely be returning as it's probably one of the best hotel experiences we have had.

Just had a wonderful evening at Bishopstrow. The hotel was elegant and all the beautiful Christmas trees and decorations added even more luxury. We had excellent service, every staff member was welcoming and attentive. Our meal in the restaurant was first class. Each course was really delicious and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be going back.

We had a drink in the bar and visited the spa facilities. Everything is overcharged even the water. Nothing was as good as we expected it would be. The barman poured a glass of sparkling water from a used bottle that had lost its fizz. The two pools are fairly small. The indoor hot tub is a bit small it isn't hot. The outdoor hot tub is warm but it is not powerful. It is enjoyable to see the view from the outdoor tub. We were supposed to exchange the champs for something else of our choice but before we could two girls brought us a glass each and sat them on the pool side where people walk. The changing rooms are very small. Overall I wasn't that impressed with the service or the facilities but the charges are what makes it worse.

We discovered the Bishopstrow Hotel on line when looking for somewhere to enjoy afternoon tea and we were very impressed. The hotel is a lovely country house set in its own grounds. On arrival we were shown promptly to a table by the window by extremely polite staff and the tea arrived soon afterwards. The selection was outstanding and the scones were still warm! After tea we had a walk around the grounds and admired some of the facilities the hotel had to offer. We would definitely recommend.

Nice little hotel with nice grounds, it is the most dog friendly hotel we have ever stayed at. We stayed in a lovely loft room with a large lawn outside the door. The staff were friendly and helpful. The The spa had a nice sauna and steam room area, we liked the shower with the refreshing mist setting for after the sauna. We had dinner in the restaurant which was pricey but very nice. We look forward to returning.
