This is Standard travelodge. It was easy to find. Parking is free. It is on an industrial estate. There is a pub next door, but not a lot else.. Check in is straight forward and easy, and the receptionist polite and welcoming. The room was clean and functional, if basic. At the cost per room, this represents relatively good value. Mobile reception was poor in the room. In this day and age, and given the cheap cost of WiFi, it would be good if they included it in the cost of the room.

I have visited this hotel multiple times, I cannot fault the staff except it being difficult to find someone if you have an early check in (unless you are willing to call the premium number) Rooms tend to be clean and tidy although you may come across some stains here and there. The main complaint is the WiFi, honestly I cannot reccomend paying for the premium WiFi as it never works, you get to the login screen but you can't get any further either the button to continue doesn't work or the page just refreshes (depending on the device you are using) Additionally mobile signal is spotty in and around the site with you needing to move closer to the Starbucks to get any signal (although that is with EE I cannot state any information for other networks).

A great place to stay for local events. I'm using it to travel on a Steam train and Longleat Safari Park. One down side to the room is if you are staying a few nights, not much space to store clothes in the room. One bonus point compared to other places, loads of electric sockets where they are needed.

Loved the hotel in Melksham, the rooms are a bit small for 2 big people and a minature dachshund. Could do with larger rooms. Loved the shower compared to most travelodge hotels.

Very clean and tidy. Big room, basic. Well stocked tea/coffee tray. Only issue was rooms at back of property are over looking industrial unit that works late and a bit noisy. Had to keep window closed during night.

It's a Travelodge, you have a good idea of what you are going to get. This one was clean and the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. EE phone reception here is terrible. Free parking. Electric car chargers. Gregg's, Starbucks and a large pub all within one minutes walk. Dog friendly. Carpets need replacing.

Easy to find, close to Melksham where I was attending a Rock n Roll gig over the weekend. But customer service?? Don't think they know meaning of that. Dont think I was booked in correctly on 1st night and key card didn't open main door when I got back late at night on the Friday and it completely stopped working on the Saturday night early Sunday morning when I tried to get in. Night porter had to let me in to lobby and then access into bedroom area. Knowing my card was not working he then went off upstairs to do something leaving me stranded in the corridor as I couldn't get into my room. I was fuming it was 1am and I was a woman travelling on my own. I am waiting to see if I get an apology from the Manager. But not hopeful. My advice is, check on arrival they know exactly how many nights you're staying for and insist your card will work on all relevant doors for the whole of your stay. Oh and it wasn't exactly cheap for just a room for the night, no breakfast included. Good job theres a Greg's next door which was very nice.

It's a travel lodge. If your budget allows, Premier Inn is much better. What on earth do they do to the carpets here? It looks like bleach has been used to wipe down aroubd edges, but still looks grubby. The place doesn't seem old but the carpets look imported from somewhere else. Not a nice somewhere else. Other than that, comfy bed, clean sheets and pretty clean overall in the room. Just sort the carpets!

Stayed here for a couple of new nights, used it as a base to get into Bath, highly recommend, parking no problem, staff very friendly and a plus Greggs next door. Visited local town from nearby bus stop, but they don't run into the evening.

Lovely clean ground floor room. No complaints at all.. (silly person decided to set off the fire alarm middle of the night but manager couldn't have been more apologetic when we woke).. Nice 12pm check out ... I would like to thank your wonderful reception colleague Paula.. what a credit to your company.. she was friendly and so so helpful with a little issue I had (not Travel lodge related).. (slightly drunk partner problem haha)... Thank you Paula.. you are a treasure and hope you are recognised for a great job you are doing.

Booking was easy. Booking in was even easier. Room nice and clean although the carpets show signs of needing replacing. Bed was not the most comfortable but it was OK and clean. Shower nice hot and very powerful. Plenty of extra tea etc on reception. Breakfast to go was quite nice. The cornflakes are good quality, milk and juice nice and cold. The pastries are OK but better not kept in fridge. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Like most travelodge hotels carpets etc are a bit tired looking but the room we stayed in was very clean and tidy. The reception staff was polite and cheerful as well as helpful and we had a very pleasent and quiet stay.

    1) It is next to a noisy factory 2) Unless you want to eat microwaved stuff in the chain pub there are no restaurant within walking distance and practically nothing in Melksham either. 3) The staff are nice but the place has unpleasant stains on the carpets It's not aweful but there are better places
