Had a lovely large family meal there. They served 13 of us. Had a great long table... Service was ok... Food was really pretty good. Good steaks, I had a good pork chop,... But our Vegan and GF choices were good too. I think the servers were learning...and everyone had a great time...

I have just returned from a two night stay at Timbrells Yard and cannot praise the staff enough. They were all friendly, helpful, and absolutely charming, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely return. Dogs of which we had one and children were made very welcome which isn’t always the case. Loved the overall ambience.

Great location in Bradford on Avon, near train station and all amenities. Quirky room was very comfortable. Lovely walks along river/canal. Friendly staff and good service.

I had a pleasant second floor room overlooking the river (201). Fantastic restaurant downstairs with ample outdoor seating. DJ was performing outside when I got there Sunday but stopped promptly at 7, was otherwise very peaceful.

Brilliant service and tasty food. I enjoyed the ratatouille although would go earlier in future before the delicious sounding lamb sells out! Really nice juice combinations. Great decor inside and good atmosphere where we could hear our friends really well

Lovely place and definitely a place for lovelies. Atmosphere pleasant and relaxed and although I have not eaten there, I am sure the menu and service are impressive. Not exactly a mecca for real ale buffs like me, but a reasonable range of reasonable ales. Other venues in BOA might be a little more rough, ready and homely, but Timbrells is certainly a place to see and be seen in. Popular at popular times with the popular.

I spent one night in Timbrells and absolutely loved it. Though my room was quite small, I enjoyed the double bed (I slept incredibly well!), the beautiful walk in shower, toiletries, tea & coffee, and especially loved that as I walked in to my room, there was quiet classical music playing on the radio, which made for a really nice welcome. The room I had had a view out into the river and you can hear the birds - but also the cars from the car park- there are quieter rooms elsewhere in the building. The place has a nice bar & restaurant, and is also laptop friendly. The staff are incredibly friendly and I sure hope to come back one day. Thanks for making my one day in BoA feel so homey!

Went for Sunday lunch, 5 people no booking, with a dog. Very friendly staff, managed to squeeze us in dog friendly area on a 4 person table and an extra chair. Food was amazing and well priced, drink also very good. Would absolutely go regularly if we were locals. Staff made a fuss of the dog but in an appropriate way. We had 3 of the tapas options each which was plenty of food. Service good, staff friendly, would recommend.

Incredible service started when we arrived. A party of 5 and a dog on a busy Saturday but they managed to fit us in easily. The food was phenomenal and we recommend the little plates or the mac and cheese. Thank you to our lovely server who couldn't do enough to help.

The pub has been tastefully renovated, and it is an absolute pleasure to enjoy a pint there, and the staff are friendly and helpful. But the food ... Oh dear. We ordered plaice, which came without any mash or chips or veg, just some samfire plopped on the top. The chips were stale and absolutely soaked in oil and thoroughly greasy. Chips should be cooked in fresh oil. We ordered fish "goujons" for the kids but these were measly, in oily batter as tough as old boot. Really, how difficult is it to serve up bloody fish fingers and chips.

Just WOW, when you walk into your room, usually are the first words that come out of your mouth. We have had the pleasure of staying twice now and both times in 2 different rooms it's been a WOW that's came out of our mouths. Just the attention to detail with the toothbrush and paste, the nespresso coffee machine in your room. Even a board game, which I thought was a nice touch. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The food is delicious, and the setting right on the river Avon is just special. Highly recommend.

Very disappointing meat breakfast. Swimming mushrooms in oil. Burnt bacon and tasteless poached eggs. An egg cup of baked beans and a sausage that was just about the highlight. A tomato cut incorrectly!

Just came in for food, which was excellent, but when the bill came and our party was splitting it (cos it was expensive of course), I was told quite firmly ‘you know we don’t take cash don’t you’., luckily I had a card on me. I enquired, ‘what would you do if I only had cash’, ‘usually diners sort it between them’ he answered. I then simply asked that he feedback to his management that I thought that was bad and he basically refused. Why he couldn’t have just given me a platitude I don’t know. Spoiled the whole experience for me. My fellow diners congratulated me on standing my ground in the face of a rather uncaring bar manager. He also refused to accept that cold linguini with 4 clams and 4 mussels on it (two of them closed) wasn’t good enough until he was pushed. The other diners felt that the acoustics in there made it hard to hear each other. Not good at all, which it should be when they charge that much.

Really lovely hotel (and bar & restaurant). Lovely classic but modern hotel, staff were amazing in everything. We had a very, very minor issue in our room with one of the lights not working and they almost immediately offered to move us to another (nicer) room. The food was gorgeous and frankly probably underpriced for how nice it is. The bar is very chilled and a nice place to hang out in. It's also 2 minutes walk to the train station from there it's 15 mins on the train to Bath, would highly recommend.

Tasty roast with plenty of veg and gravy but why so stingy with the meat? Just one small slice of roast beef! Left me feeling short changed. Would not return for food

Dropped in for evening meal without reservation. Had to wait 45 minutes. Put onto small table near entrance which was poor especially given large empty tables that were unused all night. Nice staff, interesting food but overpriced. Priority was for residents I think. Would go back but with a reservation. The table location they gave us killed it.

Only popped in for a quick pint, they had two on, Otter bitter and Kettlesmith Faultline, went for the latter because it's a local brewery, very nice. The pub/hotel is also very nice and with a visit if you're in the area

Came for a 2 night stay at this B&B with a large group of around 17. Very, very impressed with the rooms and staff were very accommodating and super friendly ! Breakfast was brilliant and our waitress/host was super kind and welcoming. Had dinner on both nights and variety and taste were superb! Couldn't fault our visit and we thank every staff member there!! 😊

Fabulous location, quiet and away from the road but right next to railway station and town centre. Welcoming staff, spotless rooms, generous high quality breakfast, luxurious toiletries. We used this hotel as a base to cycle to Bath and enjoy the spa and then cycled back via the former railway tunnels. It was my fourth visit, this time for my husband’s 60th and it was as good as ever. Service at breakfast was as enthusiastic as anyone could wish - thanks Olivia!

Don't visit if you are feeling hungry and like a decent sized portion. The photo I've posted is after the chef added more mash at our request, so you can imagine how small the initial portion was. £21 for this so we were very disappointed. Sitting the pie on the mash they are not even trying to fill the plate. Nice friendly staff but the portions are an embarrassment for the prices charged. Such a shame as we've been a few times over the past two years but we wont be going back.

Went here because I have Timbrell 's in my family tree. A nice place but a little pricey. A large pinot and a pint of bitter, real ale, £15.50. The bar staff were helpful and very pleasant. Only the one drink there.

Went in on 27th December 2022 after a lovely walk around Bradford on Avon, only wanted coffee and tea but after waiting for a long time for someone to acknowledge us at the counter we were asked by the waitress how she could help us,I asked for Coffee only to be told that they were not taking walk ins that morning and they were not prepared to serve us anything! The staff seemed very stressed and unhappy in their jobs, lots of people were asking for refunds due to waiting an extraordinarily long time for food and drink and others were also being turned away, there were no signs saying residents only and I thought this establishments attitude to us was quite appalling, there were lots of empty seats and tables so I don't see why they couldn't accommodate 2 people with 1 coffee and 1 tea, lots of lovely places in Bradford for a coffee so give this place the swerve and go somewhere else where you will be welcomed warmly by the staff.

Great hotel, highly recommend the pork with crackling, could eat that for ever. We had the mezzanine room, awesome view. We missed the fireworks, however, it appeared all of Bradford on Avon did as well!!

Lovely location, drinks are always very good. It’s a local hotspot for cheeky pint. 4 stars only because I’ve eaten here a few times and I’m not the biggest fan. Foods is very hit and miss.

I walked past early in the morning and my son asked if we could have breakfast. We actually arrived before the restaurant was due to open but we were made very welcome by Ryan who ushered us in and Leah who served us breakfast. The food was delightful, the staff accommodating and we shall return again and again - although in future check the opening hours first!

Exquisite food (the meats were particularly good), faultless service, comfortable, relaxed and airy space, reasonably priced. Even allowed us two Ketogenic diet adherents to have the Sunday roast without the yorkshire pud/roast spuds, but instead have extra meat just for a tiny increase in price. The spicy Bloody Mary was spot-on. Totally amazing afternoon. Thank you Timbrell’s Yard.

We booked a table to celebrate my birthday and unfortunately we ended up walking out as the chef was unable / uncompromising to prepare a wine / Sulphite free Garvey to go with Sunday roast. A warning to all food allergy sufferers, this place is not for you. If what you want can’t be made in bucket loads in advance, the chef is not interested. Stop making a fuss or get out. It’s a real shame that I have to write a negative review for what should have been a memorable occasion.

Lovely hotel in a great location right next to the river in the very picturesque town of Bradford-on-Avon. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend Timbrell's Yard.

Came here with my partner for Sunday roast and it was really tastey. I had the triple roast which was, pork belly, chicken and sirloin beef, make sure you get the cauliflower and cheese side it's amazing! Lovely location and staff are super friendly. Probably around £25 a head with no dessert but very worth it.

5⭐️ Accommodation, Food and service! From the moment I walked in I felt calm and relaxed. It’s a rustic chic decor with many different vignettes for lounging. It’s located on the canal which is lovely to sit at while having a drink or some food from their AMAZING chief!!! I ordered 2 dinners for each night I was here and both were better than words can express. They were creative and beautifully presented. One was Beetroot Rotolo and the other was Courgette Tar Tartan. As a vegetarian, I have never had such gourmet meals. The staff here are AMAZING so cheerful, friendly and always helpful. Love love love this place and would highly recommend it.
