George Street Bridge is a structure that I pass quite often and it does provide a quick and easy means to get across the River Usk by walking and by car. However, I feel like renovation should be made to the bridge as it has slowly become distasteful to look at and is not maintained very well and can become quite littered and dirty. Furthermore, beneath the bridge it can be quite dark as there is no lighting. Seeing strangers under the bridge can be quite intimidating at night.

What can I say... crossing a bridge without a troll wanting to grind my bones to make his bread.. Nice architecture

Ok if you like bridges I guess.

A nice piece of construction which still serves it's purpose 57 years after it was built. The 30mph speed limit is rarely adhered to and the crossing can get congested during peak hours due to the bad timing of the traffic lights on either end.

One of the many links over the river Usk. Helps you to get from a to b efficient. Good having dual lanes, easing traffic flow

The first cable span bridge completed In the U.K. which opened in 1964. This bridge is a great example of achievements during the brutalist architecture period.

Love this bridge apart from the pot holes in the inside lane coming from corporation road to lower dock street

This bridge is always a pleasure to drive over this was one of the first bridges I discovered when I first move to Newport there is some beautiful views on here 😌👍🏾

Needs resurfacing. If pot holes get any worse traffic will be in the River Usk
