A lovely and well maintained park. Nice area for kiddies perfect for toddlers. Also a large sick pond and water fountain. There’s a lovely little cafe with toilets; but cash only! Would definitely recommend.

Gorgeous park! Definitely worth a visit! Lots of facilities including tennis courts, bowling green and bmx track. Car park is free anf has disabled spaces but not huge would imagine it will get full when busy. Lots of benches, picnic benches and bins. Park was very tidy. Didn't see any litter. There are some lovely formal gardens and a large fountain. On site cafe with 5 star food hygiene rating and is dog friendly (on a lead) and there were a few outside seats. Toilets at the cafe were well equipped (although no hot water) and very clean. Main paths are well maintained and pram and wheelchair friendly but if you go off the beaten track it can be muddy. A large pond and a smaller one with lots of water birds (food available to buy in cafe). Some lovely views!

Great little park. Plenty of play equipment both next to the cafe and (for smaller children) at the other side of the cafe near the pond. The cafe is good, and had toilets. Parking is fairly plentiful, across from the park, it's been expanded fairly recently. Cars are safe there, I've never heard of problems. There is a skate park and a pond full of waterfowl. There's basic outdoor gym equipment. There's a larger field near the bridge which is great, although it gets boggy at one end sometimes. Across the river there are a few more walks. The fountain is sometimes on, which is great to see. There are badminton/tennis courts and a spotless bowling green. It's not huge, but it's a great park and perfect for those with small pets, children, the elderly, families, and those who want peace and quiet or some exercise. Well done to the council for this little gem, and everyone who goes there that seem friendly and make it what it is.

A Park That Queen Victoria Opened Due To A Cotton Spinner Who Died So The Land Was Given Back To The People of Heywood... This Park Has Great Areas Such As A Bowling Green Tennis And Football Areas With BandStand And Many Dog Walkers .... This Seems To Be Heywood's Best Attraction As So Many People Come Here Everyday.. The Bridge Nearby Unfortunately Has Had Many Suicides And This Shouldn't Really Be Happening Near A Park Where There Is Children... More Should Be Done By The Bridge To Prevent And Promote Peoples Loved Ones Who Deserve To Get The Help They Need... Some Kind Of Prevention Measures Are Needed Desperately By The Bridge πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Deffinetely my preferred park in Rochdale area! Not too big, not too small, this park offers plenty of space to enjoy. There are two playground areas (the main one recently refurbished), a cafe with toilet open to the public, a grassed bowling court, two tennis courts, a sports court, a public gym and a BMX track There is a big parking lot across the main entrance and a small one next to the back gate.

My favourite park in Rochdale. Cute cafe, serving delicious hot food, ice creams and snacks. I don’t know if it’s on everyday, but there’s usually a train that takes kids and parents on a quick ride around the park. Beautiful centre fountain with seating located all around it. Small baby play area, kids and juniors play area available. There is also a gym area. Feed the birds feature to stop people bringing bread. Beautiful swans that you can really appreciate up close.

It is an amazing park with a good playground and outdoor gym. There is also a pond with ducklings and swan. It was a good experience and a great day out with my family

Always loved it here. Feels safe enough, but wouldn't go too late as there were kids on petrol scooters flying around. Other than that it's a great Victorian park

Visited very early on Sunday morning, specifically looking for a Kingfisher. Not really anyone about at this time. Didn't really enter the park proper, just circled around the river, but I've been a few times in the past, and it's a great park. So my journey around the river started with spotting the KF, then ended 4.5 hours later with some actual shots. Lots of other critters on the way. Shame the river is looking scruffy due to recent flooding. The amount of times I thought I'd spotted the KF, only to see it was some blue plastic...Frustrating. An enjoyable morning and most people I met were really friendly. Will go again.

Queens Park is one of my favourite local places to visit. Always beautiful, feel welcoming and quiet. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on kids playground area. Thanks to Rochdale Council

Lovely park with a large duck pond, games area, tennis, children's play park, field, bowling green and cafΓ©. Not bad! Very well kept and the more formal flower beds at the entrance are lovely too.

Beautiful park. Plenty of space and grass areas for picnics, ball games etc. Great park for all ages, one separate toddler park for younger children. Lots of events throughout the year. Cafe and toilets on site.

I had never been to Queen's Park before and was really surprised at how nice it is. Nice old style park but with a good play area for kids, cafe and toilets nearby. There's plenty to see, the big pond is brilliant and herrons nest on the island (seasonal) There is plenty of countryside nearby and some good paths to explore. Go, enjoy!

Queens Park is a beautifully maintained park with tons of facilities. It’s family and dog friendly and wheelchair accessible all around the park. There’s the potential to go on nature walks beyond the park as well. There’s a band stand, various exercise areas, a cafe and I believe the BMX track is being reinstated at some point as well. Lots of wildlife and beautiful trees.

πŸ‘ Really nice place to go for a walk, the moderate path can be very muddy if it's rained recently! But the easy walk isn't too bad & you can do it twice if you want to walk so more! Only downside is the parking is very small! And there is no one where really else close by to park! Apart from that real...
