Only a flying visit on this occasion but Tandle Hill and surrounding Park is a really nice place for a short to medium length walk. There's a Cafe (though I've never seen it open), a Children's play area and plenty of woodland, with varying gradients to suit people of different ages and different fitness levels. It's a good place to visit. The only down sides for me, are 1: I've never seen the Cafe open, so don't know if it's functioning. 2: The park seems to attract teenagers/youths after a certain time, drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis. All in all though, it seems a good place to visit 😁

Tandle Hill is truly an exceptional place! I had an incredible time exploring this beautiful area. The vegetation is lush, the trails are well-maintained, and the views are breathtaking, making it an extraordinary destination for nature lovers and hikers. The tranquility of this place is unparalleled, perfect for escaping the daily hustle and bustle. Congratulations to the park authorities for their efforts in preserving this natural wonder. I can't wait for my next visit!

Great place to take the dog's as it's so open and spacious. My daughter and I enjoyed the scenic walks. Didn't use the cafe as we had a picnic but it looked decent and was pretty busy. Public toilets, children's playground and free parking. Lots of seating and bins scattered around the park. We passed lots of people pushing prams, using wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Definitely recommend and will continue to visit regularly.

Honestly lovely park. Quite hilly but I don't mind that as I like to walk. It feels way bigger than it is as you walking through different paths every time. Forest part of park is biggest and very clean. If you like to sit on the hill you can have picnic there too otherwise you can buy food from on site little coffe/sandwich shop. Area around is clean, plenty of clean tables. Not big choice off food but that is actually good side as no big queues of people who can't make their mind. There is big playground for kids which is clean and well maintained.

It's a lovely little park with som very nice views over Manchester and the surroundings. It's kept clean and there's a playground for children, food and drink and toilet facilities, so everyone can find everything they might need at a local park. Very well done.

Lovely little place to spend an hour just walking the humans. There are many paths to take, some easy and others more suited to us of the four legs persuasion. I definitely think I'll be taking my humans here again! Coffee and toasted sandwiches at the cafΓ© are an ideal end to the walk!

Gorgeous country park. Had the most beautiful autumn walk here. It's a good walk up to the very top of the hill, approx 30 minutes, but it's well worth it for the stunning views. It's a kid-friendly walk too with a proper path and steps up to the very top. Also, there's a great play park next to the cafe. All in all, beautiful. What a gem this place is.

Nice place for a walk or hike. On a clear day you can see for miles like Manchester city centre in the distance (see video). There are a few wooden bench's so you can sit down and enjoy the view. In the summer all the insects are flying about because the flowers are everywhere. A really peaceful place so I would fully recommend.

Wonderful walks and bike trails. Very clean and friendly. Play area for children is well-kept and modern with plenty of exciting things to do. There is also a small kiosk that serves drinks and snacks. There are numerous trails to take meaning that you can visit a few times and pick out your favourite. Each trail has a different intensity of incline and route meaning that there is one that is perfect for any ability. The park is situated In a very nice area of Royton and has links to Burnedge, Trub and Chadderton meaning it is easily accessible and you can take your walk further by entering these other local areas.

Nice little stroll with the dog, 2 routes to choose from that are mapped out quite well as well as a few off the path routes if you prefer the woods. Half decent cafe and a play park for the kiddos.

I didn’t think I’d like it. For a family to go out for a walk. Meet some nice people along the way. It’s great. You have different walk routes. Green and blue. We took the Green Route which is slightly a little less of a walk but great for kids etc. I would go again. There is also a clear view of some of Oldham which is beautiful on a sunny day.

Unfortunately I didn’t get round to have a walk though hopefully in the new year. I did use the cafe and had excellent food and dessert served by Alan and his helping crew who did an excellent job of serving everyone. Very polite and very knowledgeable. I sat inside and talked to a nice couple who had been coming for around 20 years. It’s good to talk as you find out more about the area. It’s a definite place to visit and explore πŸ‘ Excellent prices, cash or card welcome.

first time there I was impressed clean and tidy a nice lovely environment to have a walk and great views when you reach the war memorial good cafe with large kids play area

Nice place plenty of free parking and a cafe. The walk isn't much really it says a hour on the long walk but didn't take us that long, it's mainly all concrete paths you can go off path slightly but only adds a little extra. Nice views at the top though.

Tangle Hill is a short country lane walk away from Oldham Road, (between Rochdale and Royton). You can choose to walk through the woods or the boarder fence, where there is a trodden path to get to the top of the hill where fantastic views can be had. The place had lovely woodland plenty of space of cycling, dog walking and place for children to play. On Oldham Road there is a pub, and cafe not far away.

Love this place. 10 min drive from my house, and it's perfect to take my son to get out, see nature, and walk at the same time. There's a nice little cafe too for food and drinks, I think it's a bit pricey but everything is decent. I can spend a few hours there on the park and following the trails around the park.

Great place to let the kids run wild into the forest and parks. Highly recommend. They have a little hut for food and drink near the entrance with toilets. The park if situated right by the hut then after that it's woodlands. Everyone was so nice and friendly walking around. My little dog is more human friendly that dog friendly and everyone respected that when we told them. I really will go again with the kids.

Lovely place to take your kids for a walk as well as your dogs, very Hilly and some quite steep steps so if this isn't for you then I would avoid, however if this is more for you then I'd certainly recommend it especially if you get to the top where the monument is where you can sit and view the lovely views of Manchester. The park is brilliant for kids too, with rope bridges and a big slide for them to whizz down. Cafe next to it too so you can grab yourself a coffee and sandwich and also food for your kids. Great all rounder πŸ‘Œ

Was minding my grandson for the afternoon. Table Hil park is about a 3rd of the way from where my grandson lives & where I live. Tandle hill park is the ideal place 2 take a 5 year old, who has a very active mind. There's a playground with slides, a swing & large obstacle course. Then there are different orienteering trails you can follow that guide you round this massive nature reserve. You could easily spend a full day in there. Well worth a visit.

The walk was very muddy in place so be prepared to were suitable footwear. We came here to look for Munzees and we’re able to find 6 without having to venture of the path to much. Was lovely to see people using the park to walk their dogs and there was plenty of wildlife to observe. We did not encounter any rubbish whilst we were walking which was refreshing
