Another
instant
of
being
hassled
shopping
while
Black.
A
very
different
experience
from
the
Michaels
next
door.
This
time
I
was
followed
around
the
store
by
two
people.
The
most
persistent
was
an
African
security
guard
who
was
about
as
subtle
as
a
hammer
He
looked
me
in
the
eyes
on
my
way
in
the
store
and
the
entire
time
I
was
there
he
was
no
more
than
three
steps
behind
me
and
when
I
went
to
the
area
of
the
store
where
there
were
very
few
people.
He
decided
to
pretend
like
he
was
shopping.
Picking
up
bottles
and
looking
at
them
not
turning
them
around
putting
them
back.
This
completely
put
me
off
of
my
shopping
to
the
point
where
I
stopped
what
I
was
doing
and
when
he
stopped
pretending
like
he
wasn't
watching
me
I
followed
him
around
the
store.
Until
he
decided
to
walk
to
the
other
side
and
return
to
the
front.
Only
then
did
I
walk
out.
At
this
point
I
can't
help
but
be
amused
by
stores
that
follow
me
around
and
get
robbed
by
people
who
don't
look
like
me.
Essentially
that's
what
they
get.
Who
knows
how
many
people
were
actually
stealing
from
the
store
while
those
two
people
were
following
me
around
like
they
were
my
personal
shoppers.
