Nice to have open spaces within easy travelling distance and when it's quiet this is a really lovely place to walk, walk a dog or watch birdlife. The car park isn't free but is in a heck of a state with a substantial part muddy as hell and having a series of its own mini-lakes making getting into or out of cars with kids or dogs an unnecessarily dirty proposition.

Beautiful country park with large car park (payable). Different trails to follow with some sign posts. Kids can bike quite easily. Dogs allowed off lead throughout but lake has green algae so unsafe for dogs to swim. Lots of wildlife, ducks and bird hideout. Kids play area new and well kept. Toilets (free), accessible toilet/changing room, picnic and BBQ areas, dog bowls for water. Sometimes an ice cream van and a mobile cafe but don't rely on that. Swimming pool requires membership. Spotted the white squirrel recently which was a nice surprise! Too quick for photo.

I love marbury, its our local park and a regular dog run for me and the wife and we love it. Its a super dog friendly as long as you treat the place and other users of the space with respect. Well maintained and there are so many walks and sights with links to the northwich flashes and Anderton.

Great place for a walk with the dogs. Lots of open grassy areas near the mere as well as woods to explore and streams for the dogs to jump in.

I haven't been to the park for a while, I really enjoyed it. Lots of areas have been deliberately left to go wild. There is also a lovely new playground. Lots of work going on to improve it.

Fabulous spacious and clean with great facilities. Plenty of space for people to spread out. Toilets and play park. Seating including under cover which was superb. I attended for the slacklining and juggling festival which is a yearly event hear. People so friendly and very well organise. I'll definitely be back next year for that.

It's such a lovely place to spend the day with dogs and children, if you have young children there's a playground and lots of open grass areas to play with a ball and other outdoor games. There's are picnic areas near to the toilets and and baby changing units and lots of different walks to do. If you want to get away from the main area to have a more peaceful, quiet and relaxing time with your dogs there's walks through the woodlands and open grass areas, there's lots of trees to choose from to sit under for shade and a water break. I love this place, they also have a field of the cutest and most friendliest cows who'll come to the fence to say hello and have a little stroke, my 2 girls love these cows and kept asking to take some home haha that's their highlight of Marbury country park.

Beautiful wooded area with lots of walks in particular the views over Budworth Mere are outstanding. Great for walking dogs, just delighted this is only a 20 minute drive from my house. Even better the Car Park fees are sensible at just £1.50 for 3 hours and only £1 more for all day.

What a gem. Fun, but not too long, walk up the river to an intriguing castle which you can climb right to the top of for free. Kids loved it. There's a good playground, but it's right at the start which always means the kids are reluctant to go on the actual walk!

Great place for dog walking, or even horse riding. It's a large park for just walking, play area for children and a large lake & bird hides for bird watching . If you are eagle eyed you may also catch a glimpse of a rare white squirrel.

Superb country park, it's vast! Lots of interest, so many varied footpaths, information boards about it's past and history, lots of nature and wildlife, picnic sites, benches, built in barbecues are also in place. Lovely views and pathways along the Mere and along canal towpaths. You can walk here for a day and not see it all. Recommended.

A huge area of natural beauty. Many walks clearly identified on the signs. Park rangers were very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the area and history. I'm not going to take a star off, but the parking machine is a real pain.

It's such a beautiful place to walk, play, and rest. Picnics and barbecues. It has maps to help you get around to where you want to go. There's small lakes. It's absolutely fun for all, including your dogs. There's too much to list. Proper day out any day of the week.

Enjoyable walk but shame can't really get to see the old pool as it's completely fenced off and private use access. Lots of various paths to take. Parking is payable.

Marbury Country Park is an absolute gem of a park. It's clear that the staff take great pride in maintaining the grounds, as the grass is cut short and the park is immaculate. Whether you're visiting for a picnic, a dog walk, or just a leisurely stroll, you'll find plenty of space to enjoy. One of the best things about Marbury Country Park is the dog-friendly atmosphere. The play areas for dogs are plentiful, and it's clear that visitors are respectful and responsible, as there's no sign of dog fouling anywhere in the park. As a dog lover, this was a huge plus for me. The park also has ample paid parking available, and there are food and drink options on site, including hot beverages and ice cream for the little ones. But the real star of the show at Marbury Country Park is the view. The lake is stunning, and there are plenty of areas to sit and take it all in. If you're feeling more adventurous, the local area offers a range of walks of varying levels of difficulty and length. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll or a more challenging hike, there's something for everyone. Overall, I highly recommend Marbury Country Park to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-maintained park with plenty of space and stunning views. The dog-friendly atmosphere and food and drink options only add to the appeal. I'll definitely be back!

An "old school" kinda place, lots of places to explore, some parts with shade and some open countryside. A large mere to walk alongside, but keep dos and people away due to blue green algae and or avian flu. Canalside walks, children's play area, toilets and ranger offices.

A lovely country park to go for a nice walk, wether it's by yourself, with kids or your regular stroll with a dog. The country park its self is quite big. It has a couple of seating areas with benches and a shelter. Public toilets and an outdoor pool. As well as quite an extensive network of walking paths, we walked down paste the lake, through the woods, along the canal and then over to the Cow fields, and back to the car park. We had the 4 kids including 2 little ones and the dog and we were out for about 2½ hours including a little stop for the kids to have a drink and something to eat. But you can loop onto different paths, apparently there are around 20 miles of walking paths along the various routes. It was £1.50 for 3 hours or 2.50 all day, car park closes at 8. We'll worth it for a nice walk on a nice day.
