The best gym classes in the local area! I have been going to Eley Fitness since March 2022 after trying their initial freebie week and I have never done the same class twice. Ed & Torie create the most welcoming gym environment and make all workouts suitable for all abilities - whether you’re training for a specific goal or just getting started/starting over. Their latest timetable has sessions over 7 days - morning, noon and night - so it makes getting sessions in so much more achievable too 🙌🏽 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had the best time at the Eley Fitness Charity day a few months back. The guys go above and beyond for their members and are building quite the community. We have joined them on a couple of their Charity Days now and they've raised thousands for Weston Park. A great facility with top of the range equipment but more importantly, great, great people! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely amazing. I love attending classes at Eley Fitness. Every class is different, never repetitive, very accommodating and user friendly. Workouts are well structured, thought through, intensive and motivating. I have used other gym facilities before but this one is the best. I love all classes but Torie 's classes are my favourite. She is amazing!! Highly recommend the gym.

Awesome place! I was so nervous about getting back into the gym and wasn't sure I was a 'gym person' (my only experience of gyms were the big chains with endless rows of treadmills, blasting dance music and a testosterone fog by the weights area I tried desperately to avoid), but I have really come to love this place and what it does for me; the staff are so welcoming and friendly, ridiculously supportive and enthusiastic and you can't help but want to come back. The classes are interesting and suitable for any ability, you can adapt most bits to suit your fitness level and there's no judgement. They are passionate ambassadors for supporting positive mental health through exercise and it really feels like a lovely little community. Worth every penny!

I started training at Eley Fitness in 2016 when I moved to Bakewell. Now I can’t imagine not being able to train with the trainers there. Whether you go to a evening class or small group PT or 1:1, I have given all 3 a go 😊, the trainers make it fun and push you at the same time whilst making sure you do your exercises correctly to avoid injuries. Whether you’re really athletic or need to start at the basics (like I did😊) it’s a great place to get fit or stay fit. Another plus is the location since parking in and around Bakewell can be quite hard it’s great Eley Fitness has parking places available.

Exercise has never been so much fun...!!!! The classes are well structured and varied. I haven’t done two classes that are the same so no boring repetitive stuff. All the trainers are extremely knowledgeable and always on hand for support and advice. Whatever your training needs, whether it’s for an upcoming event, toning & weight loss or just to maintain a good level of fitness and wellbeing then Eley fitness comes highly recommended. I’ve met so many lovely people, of all ages and abilities that absolutely smash the group classes and have so much fun. Loads of classes to choose from to fit in with the work/home life balance. Well done team Eley 👏🏻 Keep up the great work 💪🏻😊

A friend of mine and I train together & it's been so much fun. The gym is more intimate than any other I've gone to with a fantastic atmosphere. We're pushed to our own capabilities & when you're in your 60's, to be made to feel like you're no different to the younger ones training near you is something very special. The advice given on how we should eat was invaluable & l lost 1 stone in a few weeks without it even being a 'diet', it's now a lifestyle change & I'll never go back to the way l used to eat. I feel (& have been told) that I look younger and less "matronly" 😂 LOVE IT ❤️

With the caveat that I've nothing to compare this with, as I'm not really a fan of gyms (this is the first one I've been to), and I've only been going for a few weeks. However, it's very friendly and I like the fact they have a big "garage" door that's open, so, while not outside, there's lot's of fresh air. I've only been to the circuit classes, which have been varied enough to be interesting and both trainers have been fun & encouraging. It's a sociable, supportive place to go if you want to get/stay fit.

I spent 20 years saying gym’s just aren’t for me, then on a whim I did a 7 day free trial at Eley Fitness and over a year later it’s become such a key part of my life that I can’t live without at least 3 classes a week. This is truly a gym like no other. There are excellent class options with loads of times available so I can always find something to suit my schedule and I love that every session is different. Monday nights to offset Monday blues, Fridays after work for shaking work off and Saturday mornings for starting the weekend positively are my current faves. All the trainers are really engaging, inspiring and supportive. The ethos established by Ed and Torie really carries through so it feels inclusive and non judgmental, it’s a truly lovely environment and I’ve got to know some great people. I could wax lyrical about this place as I feel so much stronger, healthier and happier since I joined, but I’ll shut up now.

What a gym! I have never ever been to a gym in my life until this one (and I'm late 30's). It's welcoming, encouraging and just so easy to start. I now go 3+ times a week religiously and really love all the staff and members. They have open gym, classes, PT sessions, extra group PT sessions plus community/social days. I would highly recommend!

I cant recommend Eley Fitness enough. Me and my son go to a variety of classes across the week, mainly the early morning sessions, which keep our mental and physical balance in check. I now am sad when i dont go rather than grumbling about having to go to the gym. My love of fitness is well and truly back. The one thing that also stands out is that they took my sport obsessed son seriously in his love of sport and exercise whilst taking great care due to his age and development. A wonderful place to be part of .

I'm a little disappointed I can only give 5 stars, these guys deserve 20 stars! I've been to a few gyms over the years and none even come close to the atmosphere these guys have created in their gym. There are always smiling faces when you walk through the door and everyone is so friendly! You don't need to know anyone when you go, you'll be accepted into the Eley Fitness family instantly no matter what your fitness levels are. I've been going on and off for a few years now in between having babies and I still love it as much as the first time I went. I have never done the same class twice, the variety is fantastic and keeps you interested! I can't recommend these guys highly enough, they know their stuff and are actually interested in making sure you get the most out of your time there, whether that is helping with technique, giving you alternatives in case of injuries, or pushing you harder than you thought you could go because they know you can do it! BEST.GYM.EVER. Don't think about joining, just do it! Your first week is free anyway!

All of the Eley Fitness team are so friendly and approachable and make every class lots of fun whilst catering for all abilities. If I want a tough work out, I can have a tough work out. If I’m not quite on form, that’s ok too. If I’m having a bad day, it never fails to cheer me up. I chose the 3 times a week option which fits in perfectly with my busy work schedule. There’s lots of different classes and open gym sessions to choose from - even more so now they’re open 7 days a week.

Eley Fitness changed my life. A few years ago I was convinced to join a class by a friend. I was hooked after the first session. The team are very friendly and knowledgeable. After attending for a few years I'm a much healthier and happier person. Give them a call you wont regret it!

😠 Just visited the ark leisure centre to take my little boy for his swimming lesson. I won't comment on parking as that's another thing altogether. So we entered the building and walked down to the changing rooms I notice lots of fluff and ddisgusting n the floor but thought OK it's the main entails i...

😠 Poor management style destroying relationships with clients and put this place under valuation chart, because off illogically low hygiene standards, illogical people traffic management, maintenance and facilities exploitation failure. Shame!
