Great dining experience and service! The food was absolutely delicious and really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. My girlfriend and I each did the 3 course meal for $59. I started off with the Heirloom Tomato Caesar. It was delicious, but fairly small. For the entrée, we both had the NE Halibut and it was incredible. Very buttery and tasty! Pictured for dessert are the Rosemary Olive Oil Cake and the Crème Fraiche Panna Cotta. Both very good as well It was a great dining experience and while I enjoyed it, I gave it 4 -stars because the portion sizes were pretty small for paying $200 for dinner. The value just wasn't quite there. Everything else was great!

Dinned in for the first time here, ordered the lamb chops and spouse ordered the filet mignon. We got the 3 course meal option that includes a salad and dessert 🍨. Also tried the Spice & Nice cocktail the presentation was beautiful. Yet I should of took heed to the name as it definitely has a spicy kick. We ordered the Viva La Frisson and enjoyed them instead. Food was plated nicely, I requested my lamb chops medium well and same for the steak. Both the lamb and steak were good cuts. The steak could have been more seasoned. The lamb chops were more on the fattier side, I do enjoy lamb chops but these were more fatty than I’m use to. Overall the food was okay. There’s better French cuisines & higher end restaurants in the triad w/ higher end experience . This is more so a overpriced bar.

Delish! Had a fabulous dinner from the tuna tartar with fried green tomatoes to the prawns with squid inc pasta (butter, garlic and xo sauce), to the ice cream (creme fraiche, basil & blueberry), not to mention the gorgeous gin with rosemary and lavender cocktail (Japonaise) and a rich cab. We’ll be back! Thank you Laura (host) and Leo (server) for the hospitality and experience! Oh

Constantly impressed by the experience at White and Wood. We grabbed two seats at the bar on a Friday night and had a great experience. Friendly staff, but super menu with such great innovation. The sea bass in a ramen type broth was beyond the best I’ve ever.

This was my first time at white and wood. The food was amazingly fresh and delicious and The watermelon salad was summer on a plate. The cocktails were yummy and Laura, our server was a delight. Will definitely return and recommend.

White & Wood is a hidden gem that gives you high-end culinary dishes with a local hometown feel. Had a strong selection of drinks with some unique cocktails that are worth a try. The food at this place was extremely flavorful. Felt like everything was made from scratch and the dish plating added to the overall experience. Would recommend the NE Halibut in a heartbeat. Fresh ingredients, exceptional flavor profile, and don't be surprised if you fully clear your plate on this dish. It was that good. Would definitely recommend and would head back there when I'm in Greensboro again.

A high price place that makes sense! Everything I got was amazingly delicious and the effort and presentation that was put into each dish was noticed and appreciated. They also had a 3 entree summer special that seemed like a great deal for what you get. Ended up sharing a watermelon salad with a friend, ordered myself the filet mignon burger, and ended with the millionaire chocolate bar. You could taste the layers of flavor in each dish, I left very full and couldn’t even finish my amazing tator tots! I also had one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, the Tuscan sunset. The service was great and attentive. The only tip is to reduce the acoustics because it was quite loud and hard to converse at times, but it was cool being near the kitchen. Felt like we were on The Bear!

Enjoyed this local restaurant by mistake and was happy I did. Scrumptious charcuterie board, plus the butternut squash soup, mushroom risotto and pot de creme on the pick 3 selections. Tequila verde was awesome as well.

Amazing experience. In town for business and this restaurant was actually suggested by the owner Natty Greens, which was closed for renovations. I had the 1/2 dozen raw oysters and immediately order another 6. I finished it with the Chilean Sea Bass. It was great but too sweet for my palette. Drinks were amazing. Definitely top 10 and would do again. Looking forward to trying the steak tartare.

The presentation is truly inviting and definitely gets your hopes up for what you’re about to experience. I enjoyed my entrée the most. My friend’s food looked delicious, as well. I mean you can see for yourself. He cleaned his plate. I took a couple of my lamb chops home and they were just as good the next day. My mushrooms were amazing. I have a restricted diet and was so pleased with how patient the chef was with me. I also felt special because they had to create something just for me, and it was amazing! The dessert, on the other hand, wasn’t so exciting but at least it looked pretty.

When you are paying a premium for food, the expectation is that it will be exceptional. I had some reservations going into the meal as the menu options are limited and we weren't allowed to substitute ingredients. The kitchen has a very unusual arrangement as this place used to be one of my favorite flat top burger spots back in the day. It seems like there are people spread out in the back trying to run ingredients up to the tiny flat top. Maybe that is why they don't allow substitutions? Too much pre-prepped ingredients. Despite the limitations, I did find the food to be tasty. The main dishes were all satisfactory. Great sauces and the recipes were all delicious if not a bit pretentious for my taste. The charcuterie menu was very exciting. I think if I came back, this is where I would direct my efforts. I wanted to try everything. The bar experience at White and Wood is out of this world. The bartenders are top notch and very knowledgeable. The drinks were my favorite part of the evening.

It’s worth a try but very pricey. Judge for yourself. Not my favorite place but not bad. Service was excellent. Don’t order the Panzanella it’s tomatoes with croutons which is not traditional. Stick to a cocktail and a cheese platter.

First, the fact it’s open on a Monday is awesome. Second, you won’t regret choosing White and Wood! Amazing drinks, try the velvety smooth martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, I chose to give the filet burger a shot and the flavor and complexity didn’t disappoint, perfectly cooked and the Gruyère and aioli were a great combo. Staff is top notch. I’ll be back again!

Overall, the restaurant and experience was decent however they really dropped the ball with the main course by serving a piece of fish that was raw and mushy in the middle. In addition, it was paired with diced snap peas that we're pretty woody. I left over half of the food on the plate, and the waiter failed to ask why. The oysters and beet salad were good as well but not great. I always rate the restaurant as either "I can't wait to go back" or "I probably won't go back". In this case, I'm probably not going back. Overall score - 5 out of 10.

Most recent edit below. 2019: Absolutely delicious. Easily one of our favorite go-to’s in Greensboro. We’ve never had anything we didn’t like here. 2023: Unfortunately, editing my review from a few years ago. We have been back a few different times in 2023 and have been disappointed. The expertise of the servers and overall atmosphere has shifted, as restaurants do however, this impacts my most recent review. Not sure when we’ll be back again :(

The service was excellent and food was very solid also. They had a nice 3 course menu which was a great way to have full dinner with salad and desert. The only disappointing dish was the baked oysters which were just awful in my opinion. Stick with the raw and their vinegar sauce which was refreshing and complimented the oysters well.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice and have enjoyed myself both times. The first time I went on a Friday night and got the 3 course meal for $65 including halibut. The second time was on a Saturday night and I was able to get seated right away even though they were busy. I had a cherry temple with ribs and the waiter was kind and professional. It was in and out in under and hour but I didn’t feel rushed at all. I will be back.

Wow, just wow. Best sea bass I've ever had. Melted in my mouth. The ultimate burger was pretty darn good according to my boyfriend. The mocktail I got was really good and huge. I just wish it wouldn't have had the rose buds on top which I took out. The staff were knowledgeable and really nice. Will be back!

In my opinion, this is the only restaurant in Greensboro that is truly fine dining. The prices reflect that, but the wine list here is unmatched. The service is impeccable and the addition of the outside dining has added extra space, which is nice. They try really hard to make sure you are happy. Perfect for girls night or date night!

I love the atmosphere and location. The food is exceptional. The waitstaff was super accommodating for our party as we were in a hurry to make a show a few blocks down. The bustling background noise of conversations and clinking glasses add to the appeal.

We love White and Wood! Very consistently high food quality and service. Tonight we were informed of an emergency on our farm, so we had to get our food to go. We had a 30 minute drive to get home and our steaks were still amazing! Always interesting and delicious choices for charcuterie. Highly recommend. Still our favorite!!

We went here as a celebration dinner and were impressed with our entire experience. The ingredients are high quality and extremely flavorful. We will definitely be back for special occasions and nice date nights!

This jewel of a restaurant is perfect for a date night or a ladies night. Our waitress was amazing, the food was amazing (like, amazing amazing), the drinks and bartender were amazing, and the atmosphere is the perfect balance of classy and casual (more on the classy/upscale but with a down to earth vibe). We live 3 hours away, but plan to visit Greensboro for overnights JUST to visit White & Wood!

Wonderful food and friendly, attentive staff! Upscale without feeling pretentious. We had the chef's choice charcuterie, the burger, the corn chowder, and beef tartare. Everything was top notch! Highly recommend!
