I really want to love these apartments. The interior is beautiful and unique. Unfortunately I am not sure that's enough to keep me here for another year. Management keeps changing and office is now closed on Sundays. Why? I work full time - the office being open from 9-6 on weekdays doesn't really mean much to me. Extremely thin walls, and I can hear everything going on around me. Management does not follow through on anything. I could be paying way less for a well managed property somewhere else...Out of all the apartments I have lived in, the residents and management here have been the absolute worst. Also, smoke alarms have been having issues the past few months, going off randomly. Update- our streetlight in the back parking lot was out for 2 weeks. I let management know immediately but nothing happened. I took the time to reach out to Duke Energy myself to fix the streetlight. Within a week it has been fixed. Got a confirmation email from them as well. You are welcome, mill 800! There have been homeless people going through our dumpster next to the dog park and we do not live in a safe area...enjoy the light out there, dog owners. :)

I wouldn't recommend living here for several reasons. First, the service I received from the leasing office was awful from the start. Annie went out of her way to make me feel like I didn't belong there and offered no help with the application process. I thought I'd move here because of how cheap the apartments are, but it turns out that the low prices here are the market value for a brownfield with a documented history of jet fuel spillage as reported by the EPA. I will be living elsewhere- definitely dodged a bullet if the living situation here is even half as terrible as the leasing office service. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Interior of apartment is modern and clean, cool. Grounds are poorly maintained, locks broken, doors boarded instead of fixed, grass patchy and unkempt. Communication to and from the office is poor at best. They have entered the apartment multiple times with no warning, done fire alarm maintenance which caused the alarm to go off (literally all day) with no communication leading up to it. We have had 4 packages in 6 months stolen from our doorstep, and the office is completely unwilling to help, or better secure the grounds. They are unwilling to help with loud and unruly neighbors. It feels they’re only interested in securing new tenants than satisfying current ones. Do not rent. Edit: I felt the need to return to this review a few months later to update that despite the parts needing “a few weeks” to ship, as the reply states, the exterior door and lock are both still broken, (you can pull on the door which should require a fob and it opens without one), the grounds are in even worse shape, and the property manager is still incompetent. We’ve since had a home chef meal delivery sit in the office for days and rot without being told we had a package waiting. Edit 2: We’ve since had one of our cars broken into directly under a street light in the lot closest to the leasing office, ie the paid parking lot which is supposed to be more secure. We were told by the office after filing a police report that they are already aware of other break ins, but that they don’t have the budget for any kind of security. That’s the last straw for us, later skater! 🖕🏼

I love it here. Yes, there are issues. A few of the neighbors smoke tons of weed. Maintenance is understaffed. Management neglects some problems. Maybe it's worse in other parts of the building, but my hallway is quiet, the closest neighbors are pleasant, and the building itself is super cool. Prices are fairly competitive for the area.

Toured last week and I must admit, the reviews were off-putting. I popped by while in town for an interview and was highly impressed with the pricing/layout designs. The high-ceilings/architecture of the buildings caught my attention but the service I received was unmatched. Annie answered every question (first time renter here) and even recommended some lunch/coffee spots...cannot wait to return :)

I have lived at Mill 800 for 2 years now. I have had nothing but an amazing experience. The property is beautifully maintained and the apartments are gorgeous and spacious. The location is perfect. I am close to downtown and I have easy highway access. The office staff has always been extremely professional and courteous. They go out of their way to help. The property manager, Heather, always has a smile on her face and is always there for the residents in any way she can be. I would 100% recommend this property.

First and foremost I’d like to show my appreciation to Annie, she has been so amazing directing my spouse and I through the whole leasing process. These apartments are absolutely stunning. People might have had different experiences, but ours has been absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much Annie!

Called this place home for about 3 years, and would recommend to anyone. Staff, amenities, finishes, and layout of the apartment are the best I've ever experienced. Proximity to downtown and West End is next to none, especially when you consider the price. All of the other complaints you read about this apartment translate over to any other apartment living situation. You can't pick your neighbors, but you can pick to live in a place where the staff will go out of their way to make you comfortable.
