I moved into these apartments under previous management and had an excellent experience up until the new property manager took over. I have never been so mistreated in all my years in Lynchburg. The current property manger is militant and cold and very unpleasant in every interaction I had with her. I do NOT recommend anyone living here due to the ridiculous and non relational interactions with management. Made my last few months absolutely miserable when I had been there 2 years with no issues prior.

New ownership around end of summer 2022. The management of these buildings is not a priority and has fallen apart, currently our key fobs don’t work for building access and has been this way for 3+ weeks. Prices going up and quality going down, literally the front door of the building is broken. Amazing how investment groups are monopolizing housing like this. Jan 2023 currently and the posted flyers from previous management in July 22 are still on the community bulletin boards. Unprofessional would be a compliment for the new company. I cannot recommend living here based on the quality of the ownership.

Aaron is one of the most professional, friendly, competent property managers that I've ever come across. He consistently does his absolute best to go above and beyond expectations, and takes his job very seriously. He gives you plenty of notice before anything is done, and whenever work is done to your unit by maintenance, he personally goes along with the worker. He respects residents, and is sensitive to personal questions or concerns. I've lived in many different apartments over the years, all over the country, and even outside of the US, and Aaron is honestly the best property manager I have had the pleasure of interacting with. Don't hesitate to move in here!

I really have loved living here. I thought all rental management company’s were trash or just known for being not good. That has not been my experience here at all. I have had the most amazing experience with management throughout my time here. Property manager handles requests very well and works his butt off running between both properties. I really appreciate everything they have done for me. I love the historic building. It has so much character and I’ve been so happy here. It’s also very safe! Plenty of parking which is a perk too!

Do not move here. I signed a lease at Gish Flats on 11/08/23 and it has been nothing but problems. First day of moving in (all problems existed before I signed my lease and they failed to inform me)...AC thermostat didn't work, bathroom sink leaked water all over the cabinets underneath the counter, the washer was completely missing the door lock device and prevents it from being operable, and ice maker broken. After noticing a strange growth on areas of the exposed brick in my unit(117) I tested them for mold and they came back positive. It is 11/28/23 and NONE of the problems have been fixed. It's been below 40 degrees at night and cold at all times in my apartment and they haven't even offered an alternative until they fix my thermostat issue. They knowingly rented me a moldy lemon of an apartment and haven't even offered compensation for my trouble.

Excellent apartments; very modern, and with nice extra features like granite marble countertops, modern appliances, and bluetooth speakers in the living room walls. The buildings are very clean and well-maintained. Access to get inside the building is restricted using key fobs with an alternate access code, making it much more secure than a typical apartment. Gish Flats is in a good part of the city and is within walking distance to the city hall, a Lynchburg museum, Monument Terrace, the courts on Court Street, the Lynchburg farmers market, and several restaurants. Lastly, the on-site manager, Jordan, is very professional and he provides great service and support for residents.

I just wanted to say, we are happy to be out of Gish Flats. Overall this isn’t a bad place to live (good location, close to downtown, lots of nice trails). However things took the wrong turn under new manager (Jordan). He is the reason why we moved out. He is very rude, condescending and unprofessional towards tenants. Previous maintenance guy also left because the manager was very rude to him. Anyways, manager is the issue otherwise not a bad place to live.

I had no maintenance or personnel issues my entire lease here. The apartments are clean and nicely updated, The property manager (Jordan) was always kind and helpful. I would recommend to anyone looking in the downtown area!
