DO NOT STAY HERE. We arrived to find out the pool was closed and there was no ice. They suggested my disabled mother and I walk up a hill with a dangerous path to buy our own ice at the convenience store next door. I asked "if one of us falls, who's responsible??". They immediately backtracked on that suggestion. Then we get to our room and the A/C doesn't work and the volume on the TV doesn't work. We had to switch rooms. Then we get to the new room and the TV doesn't have all the channels that were advertised. This place is not very clean either. You do not get your room cleaned unless you request it. There weren't any phones in the rooms (they said they were "upgrading"), so if you had an issue, you had to walk to the front desk or call the motel from your cell phone. When I asked to be compensated for all the nonsense, we were denied that. I was also told that I should've called ahead to make sure those things were available. Really???? They claimed the issues are listed on their website. Well, I pulled up the website right in front of them and showed them it wasn't there. Thats when they backtracked AGAIN and said "oh, it shows up on the website AFTER you have made a reservation and have a confirmation number". What a joke. Again, find someplace else to stay. By the way, I saw two other people leave to find another place. We would've left if my mom wasn't disabled.

The place needs a lot of work. There's broken fixtures in the bathroom, including the sink drain, so water just pours down below the sink somewhere. The shower fixtures are all coming away from the wall as well. The fridge is kept in an entertainment unit, and because of this the press board beneath is completely destroyed from moisture. Not to mention the various stains and overall grossness in the room. The room is not worth $85 a night. Not by a long shot. That being said. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They do the best they can with the facilities being as they are. The rooms were clean, the housekeeping staff does a great job for what they can do. I think Radisson needs to make a visit and assess the wear and tear of this hotel. If they just fixed it up a bit, I wouldn't be complaining about the price for a room.

The manger on duty was helpful but the experience of everything was crazy. I book online get there the hallway on the 2nd floor is extremely hot old rugs. Elevator was dirty and smell. Pool close old water in the pool. I seen 9 rooms not 1 but 9 they all was dirty. My original room smell and the sheets had stain on them and my ice bucket had a house hold spoon with dry up milk and cereal in it. The 2 trash can in the room had bags in them but under the bags are candy with stuck in the bottom of the can. Then the next rooms was dirty that someone check out but someone wrote on the paper that the rooms was clean nope they was dirty. Trash in the room dirty towels all on the floor. Smell like mildew. I'm still fighting for my money back and I never stayed a night there. I know it hard times for a lot of businesses but that's just crazy 9 rooms and they all was dirty.

DO NOT STAY HERE PLEASE! I knew something was wrong while we were checking into the hotel when an older woman was standing in line at the check-in desk waiting to exchange her dirty towels and wash clothes for clean linen. We found out that the cleaning staff was reduced and they did not clean the rooms regularly so you had to go to the front desk to get clean linen yourself. There was also not trash pick up so you had dump your own trash. To make matters worse the toilet seat was broken and the air conditioner worked but the front grate was broken. The pool was closed and the gym was also closed. The breakfast was a joke. They had cold cereal and mostly refrigerated items with no hot food except pancakes you could heat up (pre made) and white grave you could put on a biscuit that was wrapped in plastic wrap, not sealed. If you like to eat healthy this places is not for you. The price is really good but if you can afford to pay more and you expect much better treatment and breakfast please stay in another hotel! In a word the place was YUKE!

This was the dirtiest room we have ever stayed in & I felt like I was going to be sick having to stay there. The furniture is stained, there was a patched hole in the bathroom wall. The bathroom cabinets had dust & who knows what else caked on them. There were some sort of stains on the bathroom wall and throughout the room. We opened the refrigerator to put some left overs in and there was something frozen stuck on the freezer part, no microwave plate, the place needed a major dusting on frames and ceiling vents. The elevator shook when riding it and the pool is closed supposedly for the guests health but I suspect they just don't want to have the expense of maintaining it. Don't even bother with their "continental breakfast" just go somewhere. We went to check out at 630am and no one was at the desk. We knocked on the counter, said hello and everything and no one ever came so I had to write a note on a napkin with our room keys to let them know we checked out. Basically, alot in the area was happening and all the hotels were sold out so we were stuck. Don't ever stay here!

I've notice that the cleaning has declined when I visited the last several country inn & suites. Furniture dirty or worn. Carpet dirty. No detail cleaning. Old dingy towels and wash clothes. This comment is not to put CI&S on blast. This is for you to be aware of how your customers feel when they pay their money and we are not satisfied. This is not a good look for Country Inn & Suites.

This is the dirtiest place I've ever stayed I had to clean the room myself and buy my own sheets to feel comfortable to sleep in the bed after the condition I found the room in. The refrigerator was dirty liquid spilled in the bottom microwave was dirty the room was Dusty like no one ever wiped anything down the floor was sticky with food all over it I just took the cleaner off the maids cart and scrub down the floor myself so I could walk on it without sticking to it. I tried to get them made to help but she couldn't speak english. The front desk first person just made excuses for the reason for the dirty overall experience. She tried to offer me another room but I suspected it was going to be just as dirty and I was right I told her I'd just stay in the room I was in I just got stuff to clean it myself it was too much of a hassle to try and change to a different hotel but I will never stay there again and I don't recommend anyone else do it either. I don't know why their pool and room exercise room was closed other guests were disappointed so I don't know if there was false advertisement on that. They said for your safety but I don't know what was unsafe about it.

This Hotel is outdated and priced low which is understandable. Upon entering the hotel room I was given there was a smell of smoke and I didn’t think anything of it. The next morning I needed a tissue and there were no tissues in my room so I checked the night stand drawer and inside I found an ashtray full of cigarette butts and used syringe. To add to how disgusting this was and wondering if this room was properly cleaned, the bathtub did not drain and had water sitting ankle high while you showered. I contacted the manager and they have not done anything about my complaint. I was told I would receive a call back by the end of the day and nothing has happened. If you’re military or related to anyone in the military stay away from this drug infested hotel. This hotel should be black listed for soldiers and their families stationed at SC. I uploaded a photo to this review but it looks like they won’t allow you to see them on here. Check google maps for their address and see the picture there.

This hotel is horrible. First let me say that from the outside you would never think that this hotel is that bad! We looked at 4 different rooms, before the manager herself went out and found a room that she dim fit for us to stay in! It was room 213. The floors are all stained and smells of old mold. The bathroom behind the toilet had build up trash and dirt on the toilet. In the corner of the tubs was build up black dirt and trash. The tub itself was filthy!!!! The bed boards had fingerprints all over them. The curtains had a blood stain on it. The ceiling had cob webs all over it and the vents. The UV light we had showed stains all over the sheets that they had posing as a clean bed! And to top it all off the cable half way works and the pool is out of service! RUN do not stay there! A waste of money! And then they don’t want to give my wife her refund after we spoke to the manager and the front desk clerk! All them knows the hotel need to be shut all the way down! Every room we looked at was filthy!!!! Don’t stay here!!! It’s not fit for a Dog!!!!!

This hotel should be shut down. It is a disgusting neglected building that I would not allow my dogs to stay in. I booked a room for me my daughter and their dad for a weekend, the lobby was disgusting. There was nothing clean. We go to check in the room and the room clearly belong to someone. There was a nasty mysterious stain on the floor, and the blankets and sheets on the bed were pulled back as if someone had just got out of the bed. Then we were offered a room with a king size bed, as if we would stay after what we had already seen. The pool was shut down. Someone else had apparently been having issues with her room key all through the day when we first arrived. The common areas were burning up hot, and after requesting a refund at the end of this, the lady apparently put us down as a no-show. The manager corrected this and ended up giving us a refund but people definitely need to know to not book with his company until they do some serious maintenance. Piney Grove or whoever is the owner of this establishment should be ashamed.

My family is currently on spring break and we chose this hotel not knowing what we were in for. The hotel is definitely worn down. All of the carpets in our room are stained and the walls and doors have tons of handprints and marks all over them. A few of the walls and doors also have dents in them. The ceiling and walls have random pieces of tape on them. The carpet around the baseboard had like old dirt and grime all over it. The bathroom has a broken sink drain, it does drain but the half of the drain cover is broken off. The sofa and chairs are incredibly stained. My mom asked the front desk for a room that was cleaner and she was the fifth person tonight that complained about the hotel not being clean. The kind man gave us a card to check the other room we could have to see if it was good. That room was actually worse. The lights flickered and the cushion cover was falling off of one of the cushions on the sofa. I saw even more handprints all over the surfaces in the room. I do think that the staff is doing what they can with the conditions of the hotel but some of these cleaning issues I think could be resolved by using some cleaning products and a rag. This hotel is way too overpriced for what low quality rooms are available. Update: I forgot to add this because I hadn’t left yet. The room door was dirty and unresponsive, almost like it wanted me to stay in the room. We told the wonderful Natasha at the at the front desk that we were going to leave and she fully understood our situation. She was so kind and understanding, bless her heart. The man that was working also understood the situation and was super nice. She asked us how dirty the rooms were and we asked how we can help she said that we can help by giving feedback so the owners could see. Overall excellent service, the staff was so so kind.

The service is awesome. They treat you kindly. But the rooms need some carpet and upholstery cleaning. We had a constant noise in the air conditioner very annoying. Like an alarm going off. Breakfast is very basic. Cold breakfast without many options. The pool closed in August!

This place needs to be shut down. Do not stay here! We got a refund as soon as we seen the room. Strong moldy smell that will choke you up. everything was stained, couches, walls, sink, bed sheets. Door lock was broke and the tv. The staff was very nice about getting a refund. I wouldn't pay $5 for a room there let alone the $100 plus we booked it for.

Stay far far away!!! . This place is unsanitary and to charge a person 130 was ridiculous. Me and my family were traveling and left without hotel reservations for the night because I refuse to allow my love ones to lay their head in this establishment. They gave me 2 rooms in which both were not sanitary …I will be asking the GM for a refund in the morning of my 238 they charged my card… I wish I could give negative zero stars

I’ve stayed here on numerous occasions the rooms are pretty spacious. I was disappointed because the tub wasn’t to clean; I had to clean it myself. Breakfast was good and the staff are always really friendly. Overall it a good place to stay for a reasonable price.

Service was great! My plans changed at the last minute, and they changed my reservation pretty easily. When I arrived, the first room I was given was a little dirty, but they changed my room free of cost, and pretty quickly. I felt very safe and the complimentary breakfast spread was really good. Easily accessible by cab and the Comet bus 801.

This place was so disappointing! There's only 1 elevator and please don't expect breakfast because all they offered was watery biscuits and gravy and yogurt! The housekeepers were so nice and helpful. I liked the location of the hotel I guess I expected more from a Country Inn Suites

The rooms are comfortable, nice size, with central air that you can control. The service was incredible. Incredible friendly! Had a small issue with the TV when we checked in, and maintenance was sent up immediately and it was taken care of. So again, quick to respond. The staff was able to answer questions about the area, and were so helpful. The beds were clean and very comfortable. The only reason for not getting 5 stars was the carpet and couch could use a cleaning, but overheard the staff say they already had it scheduled. For the price, it was a great night. Very relaxed, decent breakfast, and again impeccable service....from start to finish. Every employee we encounter was winderful!

Absolutely the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. Wouldn’t recommend to the worst kind of person. Did not have the room that we had reserved well in advance. Stained carpet in the room that looked like blood/red stain. Sink was clogged, hair and dirt in bathroom floor. Booked a double queen suite and had to book two seperate rooms on two floors due to booking our room to another customer, No toilet paper in room, “breakfast” was ONLY cereal but advertised as a warm breakfast, no blankets or bedding in room, hardly any snacks or drinks and what they did have was expensive, the whole entire hotel on ALL floors smelled of weed, not just a light smell either. Room had an odor or musty, moldy smell. An hour into our stay what appeared to be the hotel representative just opens the door to “see if the room is available” which we later found was some random customer they had booked the same room for. Thank god we was awake and clothed. We checked in extremely late and just decided to try and lay down and check out immediately in morning. ZERO STARS

I recently stayed at this hotel and the carpet in the room and hallway and chairs in the room were dirty and the room smelled. The breakfast selection was minimal and very few choices for hot food. I would of choose to cancel this room but it was late at night when I arrived. The employee at the desk when I checked in was kind and helpful. You need to clean this hotel.

I’m telling you right now, this is NOT the place to stay. We have 3 kids under 4 and we’re simply looking for a place to stay for the night while the power was out in our home. Big mistake. The first room key we were given was to a room that somebody was obviously still in. We opened the door to a mess and personal products everywhere. Once we got a second key, the new room was filthy and gave me the immediate ick. We stayed long enough to secure other sleeping arrangements and left promptly. The floor was scattered with dirt, hair, and other filth. Everything was dusty and stained. Dirt in every corner imaginable. While trying to load everything back into our car, the hallway became OVERWHELMING with the smell of weed. Definitely not a place to go for any reason. Gross 🤮

Went on a work related trip n stayed here. It's was horrible inside and out!! On the outside there was trash all around the hotel from beer bottles to everything. The grass needed to be cut, bushes needed to be cut. It appeared not to be kept up at all. The pool was closed and the gym was closed!!! The first room I was in was dirty floor mattress towels phone didn't work and no microwave then I seen a dead roach on the bathroom floor. Told front desk she asked if I wa Ted to switch rooms or did I want somebody to go pick it up. I told her I wanted to switch rooms! The other I got put in was just as dirty with a stain on sheet on bed and the fridge was making a really loud noise. The breakfast sucked. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody only thing good about it is the location which I would've rather driving longer to my training then to stay there!!! Never going back

WORST hotel that I've ever stayed in. I stayed here 3 weeks ago. The first room had mold in the refrigerator, black spots on the shower curtain, dirty floors and chairs. Not to mention the floor was very weak when I went by the window. They changed us to another room and I wasn't pleased, but I stayed because I lived and 1 hour and 30 mins away. I came to celebrate my birthday. If If known the rooms were like this, I would have never let them charge my card to stay in the beginning and I would've went somewhere else. They told me that I would get my security deposit back 3-5 days on check-in. Then, it changed to 7 days and then 10 days. I still haven't received my deposit. I'm very aggravated with this hotel and I will NEVER stay here again. Very nasty and unsanitary.

This was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the room for me so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was spacious. The AC worked well. The complimentary coffee I had each night was delicious. The staff was kind and considerate. It was really a great stay.

Needs painting in the rooms and updates. Wasn't able to use swimming pool or spa. No jacuzzi rooms available either. Other then that room was nice but you heard a lot of noises from other rooms and ice maker in hallway.

  • 2/5 Mary R. 11 months ago on Google
Overall, we were not impressed with the quality of our stay. We got into our room and then was a horrible smell, our comforter had a brown stain on it when we pulled the covers back. The chair was stained, and gross. The breakfast was horrible, for what we paid for our room we should have had way better amenities! Will NEVER be going back there and I suggest you don’t either.

  • 3/5 Lilly E. 1 year ago on Google
Customer service was excellent; they were cheerful, polite, and helpful in making an enjoyable experience. Our room had a jacuzzi by request. It was dirty, and we had to clean it ourselves. We had a comfortable, quiet, restful nite. It's not a 5-star, but you can tell they are trying.

Front desk looks up from their cell phone call, still active. Helps us get a room. We go to said room. THERE ARE PEOPLE IN IT. we were literally given keys to someone else's stay. Walk downstairs. Still on her phone. "How is that possible?" Given new keys. Go to next room. Room is in disarray - stained all over, one lamp straight up has no bulb, and the foldout couch has no bedding anywhere in the room and clearly hasnt been cleaned under. Walk downstairs. Still on her phone, talking. Still doesn't hang up. "Oh let me get bedding". Talks on the way back and forth. "Oh sorry, we don't have pillows". The employee that checked us in at 5 on. 6/21 needs to go. I have never felt disregarded in such a way that put MY FAMILY and ANOTHER INNOCENT FAMILY in paranoia that her lack of care could make others feel unsafe. I had to find the words to explain this to a seven year old that a stranger wouldn't walk into our room the way we did. The elevator and halls feel unventilated, a musty 82 degrees. The room has damages everywhere. The breakfast is poorly stocked - out of plates, out of silverware, juice machine out, like there's absolutely no care or maintenance of this. Coffees out? Too bad. Pool is closed. First floor bathroom is closed. There's no do not disturb sign, I had to improvise one. Why? Because I straight up do not trust this place after our experience. The room design and space are top notch for the price - finding a suite for $110 is really hard these days. But never in my life have I had an experience that shook my security at a hotel. Combine that with a lack of cleanliness, care, and amenities being closed or not kept up, and this place is zero stars.

Yes can spend the night and keep going if you are willing to ignore the old dust, dirt, stains and broken stuff. Most of what you wish is available is out-no pool, not hot breakfast… Not clean, nasty carpet and furniture. Mattress and bed acceptable, rest of room wasn’t cleaned

Good hotel for the price. Woman at the front desk upon check in on 5/14/23 was very kind and was nice enough to put our two rooms (booked under different names) right next to each other. Our AC unit was pretty damaged, which was strange, but it still worked. Beds were clean and okay in comfort, but the pillows are TINY. Breakfast was disappointing to be honest. Not much for options. Also only had two towels in our double queen room, so when I went to the front desk around maybe 8pm to ask for some, no one was there. I heard someone behind the door of the front desk making noise, so I stood there for a bit waiting, and still nothing. I then started saying “hello?…. excuse me…” just trying to get their attention. I believe it was the manager, as he was wearing a different outfit than the front desk employees, and as soon as I started trying to get his attention, I see him duck into what I assume is the managers office and close it, completely ignoring me. I then went back to my room, to call the front desk, hoping that would get someone’s attention, but my front desk button on my room phone did not work. I waited awhile and went back down and the front desk woman was back, so she was able to get those towels for me. Bathroom shower curtain had a bit of mold on the bottom, which isn’t a huge deal, but housekeeping should be keeping an eye out for that stuff.

Our experience at Country Inn & Suites was excellent. My only complaint is there's no outdoor seating area. During our stay the pool and fitness area were closed, no big deal. That's the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5. The staff were all exceptional. The room was clean, a bit musty when we first turned on the air conditioner but we didn't notice it by the next morning. I'd definitely stay there again!

DIRTY and DISGUSTING!! Daughter found two bugs! Furniture was completely stained and torn EVERYWHERE!! Floors, walls, doors covered in stains and dirt. Old fries and candy wrappers on the floor. Microwave started to spark when we tried to use it and the light fixture from the ceiling was sitting on the tv stand. Bedding had old blood stains on it and holes. Bathroom sink was not fully attached and had pieces broken off, I had to clean out the tub that was covered with several dark rings around it!!!! THIS PLACE IS NASTY!!! we ONLY stayed because our water pipes froze over and burst at home and couldn’t get a plumber out on Christmas day! How disappointing to spend your Christmas at such a gross place and have to pay for it too! Motels are better than this. The same plastic spoon was still on the steps in the same spot for two days. They are dirty here! The pool has been closed down for over a year too. We have been here before and it was never this bad! Will NEVER be returning!

Manager was very unprofessional when it comes down to it. They charged my card multiple times and then wouldn't admit to doing so even with my bank statement provided. And what really upsets me is how they charged my card not once but twice and instantly took the payment but I'm supposed to be in somewhat of a financial bind for 5-7 business days because they made a mistake. Smdh. The actual lady who checked us in was new but did her best and was entertaining to say the least. She gets 4 ⭐ but the rest of the experience -2 ✨

Stayed here back and forth over the course of 3 months. Some of the staff was very considerate (Angel). Then you have others that are quite rude. No room service at all. Had to go down and get towels and linen myself. Hotel is actually in a great location. Just make sure the person at the front desk isn't on the phone when you are speaking with them to make sure your your words don't get misconstrued about your reservation so you don't incur unwanted fees

We reserved two rooms; one of them was disgusting. Trash and food were under the pull out sofa. All of the furniture was stained. There was food in the fridge and soy sauce packets on the floor. The 3rd shift front agent was completely rude, when I told her what I found in the room, she said "Honestly, this hotel isn't that good, our housekeeping staff is awful and there's nothing that we can do about it." When I talked to the 1st shiftfront desk agent the next morning, she didn't offer any compensation for the inconvenience.

Room had roaches in the bed. After being switched to another room, we were upgraded to a bigger room. When I went to take a shower, I found the water would shut off when it was turned to hot. If you wanted a shower, it would have to be cold water. Most of the hotel had a strong odor of marijuana. The rooms were not clean and the front desk clerk said they were struggling to get people to clean the rooms. We have been coming here for three years, on our way to TN. Now it is time to find another hotel for our stop.

I am currently sitting in my room and I have enjoyed my stay. We had to have a hotel room due to having to travel here from out of state for a family emergency. Our room was clean and everything was really nice. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the breakfast was not as expected. Pop tarts and packaged muffins were a little disappointing and the ice machine was broken. But everyone was really nice.
